Alpha Damien’s POV:

It stings. The pain from her rejection still affected me so much I can barely even hold it in. I was never one to be sulking here because I got dumped by a girl. Never.

Well, maybe this was different because she was my fucking mate. My Goddess-given mate. And I was never, ever, not once in my goddess damned life have I ever been dumped or rejected by anyone I ever knew until she walked into my life, breaking my all-time record of ‘Never been rejected Alphas’. I was on the top of that list. But here I am now, hardly recovering from the pain of rejection.

Had I known that she said that just to trick that cocky little bastard, I wouldn't have considered it a rejection. Hence, my record would remain as is.
