Catherine’s POV:
As if willing to protect me with his life, Drake blocked the bear from me with his wolf. I couldn't see the look in his eyes right now but I was sure he was glaring murderously at the roaring bear who was flashing its golden teeth on us as I heard Drake’s thundering growl.
Blood gushed out of my stomach and weirdly, I wasn't healing fast. If I were even healing at all, it was like the healing process of mortal human beings, slow and ridiculously painful.
