I didn't really expect the visible desire in those blood red eyes to easily disappear like that and turn cold in a few moments.
My heart raced, but this time it was beating extremely fast for a different reason. Not out of excitement, arousal, desire, not even a hunger to feel his body against mine. He grabbed my wrist unexpectedly, gripping it thight. I couldn't bring myself to take my eyes away from his handsome face, especially with his strong grip on my wrist.
There was a glint in his eyes that made me think he was acting out of impulse, and an anger he’d been suppressing all along.
