🌘 Fenrir POV

Martha left silence behind.

It filled the room the moment the door closed.

I welcomed it.

Full control had to be rebuilt—

piece by piece and breath by breath.

For that,

I needed her.

My gravity.

I didn’t let her go.

I kept her pressed against me —close enough to feel the steady rhythm of her breathing.

To match it.

To follow it back to myself.

Arria didn’t resist.

She stayed. Willingly.

And that... mattered more than anything she could have said.

“Is it true?”

đŸȘ¶ Milena POV Blood. So much blood. It was everywhere. In the soil. On the grass. On the stones. I wanted to close my eyes. I wanted to wake up. But the vision did not let me. Thousands fought across the battlefield, both werewolves and elves. They crashed into one another like waves made of teeth, claws, blades, and magic. The air was full of screams. Howls. Clashing metal. Breaking bones. The sharp, bitter smell of potions burned in my nose, mixed with smoke, blood, and fear. No one was winning. Everyone was dying. It was soul-shattering. It was hopeless. And then I saw him. A small, thin figure covered from head to toe in a black cloak. I could not see his face, but I knew it was him. Vaerion. And I knew he was smiling. My blood went cold. Terror like nothing I had ever felt before washed over me. I could not move. I could not breathe. I was... The vision changed. Alaric. He moved through the battlefield like a nightmare given flesh. Bigger than eve

🌘 Fenrir POV The elves thought they could hunt him like a rabbit. The thought amused Alaric. Not me. “You did not tell them I am alive. Why?” I asked. “We are werewolves. We are loyal to our king. We are not traitors,” Ragnar Oakcrest stated proudly. “What about Arria, then?” He shifted in his chair. I waited. “My daughter and I may carry the blood of an ancient royal line, but we were neither born nor raised to lead,” Lyra Oakcrest answered instead. “We are loyal to the current king’s bloodline.” The current king’s bloodline. A very political answer. She was not committing herself to either of us. Not to me. Not entirely to my brother, either. Smart woman. “And the elves?” I pressed. “Did they agree to help Arria in any way?” “As my mate already told you, they did not believe us about Vaerion’s evil intentions,” she said carefully, picking each word. Not about Vaerion’s. That was expected. Even Milena had not believed it at first. Not until the nightmare happene

🍃 Arria POV By the following morning, my sparring session was done. Breakfast—done. Ordering furniture for the office—done. Meeting my parents again—not done. I had to be at school in two hours. I had no more time to drag it out. I exhaled and stood up. “Let’s do it.” Fenrir nodded once, stood, took my hand, and led me out. A few minutes later, we were in front of Greg’s house. I knocked right away, not giving myself time for second thoughts. My mother opened the door and invited us in. “Good morning, Arria...” She hesitated only for a moment. “Alpha.” I almost expected her to call him Beta Stronghold. She used to do that a lot—showing people exactly where they stood in the chain of command. This time, she either did not dare anger him, or she and my father had talked and agreed on an entirely different approach. “Morning, Mom,” I replied, glancing around to find my father already waiting in the kitchen. I went ahead, gripping Fenrir’s hand tightly. The smell of cookie

🍃 Arria POV Fenrir sat in the chair by the window while I watched him from the bed. I was still trying to process everything I had heard before I had finally reached my limit and walked away. “You seem remarkably unbothered by the possibility that I manipulated you into being content with me,” I said eventually, my voice quiet. His eyes snapped to me. A fiery gold ring appeared around his irises, a sign that both Fenrir and Alaric were at the forefront. “And you did not freak out,” he stated. “The shadows barely stirred.” I smiled sadly. “It’s just that part of me is terrified I did it... and another part knows I wouldn’t undo us even if I knew how.” And I desperately hoped he had chosen me freely—that none of this had been another lie created by my power. He studied my face for a while. Then, slowly, a small, devilish smile pulled at his lips. “My mate is getting bolder,” he said in a low tone. “You should not be so satisfied,” I said indignantly. “You are now not only c

🍃 Arria POVFenrir held my gaze for a moment longer. Then his aura shifted. My parents rose, and for several seconds, the only sounds in the room were their ragged, heavy breaths.I had seen Fenrir do this a few times by now, but this time, it felt different. My father had once been my shield. Now he was the one I needed protection from.Too many lies, I reminded myself. The thought helped me hold on to my strong facade.“You’ve changed,” my mother said quietly. It wasn’t an accusation but a statement.Fenrir would have said nothing. But I wasn’t him.I was angry and vulnerable, and he would protect me regardless.“You did this,” I told her. “Both of you.”I drew in a deep breath, preparing myself to say the words aloud.“You hid my identity. You sealed my wolf. You let me believe you were dead. And when I was at my weakest, you left me in the hands of a man who hurt me—”“No. No, Arria. It wasn’t like that—” she interrupted hurriedly.I didn’t let her continue. She had no right to a

The pack was left in the hands of the Beta family. Again. And I was left to think about what to do from now on. There was a huge possibility that I would never be truly a werewolf. A year later. Sixteen. The age when a wolf answers. The clearing was filled once again. Torches circled the altar. Warriors lined the perimeter. Children were lifted onto shoulders. My father’s voice carried across the gathering. “Tonight, our future steps fully into her power.” Cheers erupte

  • Born to shine   1. The Mark

The moment my feet left the edge, the world fell silent. There was only wind. And peace. For one fragile heartbeat, I was free. Like a bird. Then something slammed into me from behind. Arms. Hard. Unforgiving. The impact hurled me sideways instead of down. Wood splintered. Something inside m
