Emily's POV

Anger soared through my veins, numbing me at the fact that I couldn’t mind-link Alexander, my mate, simply because I feared what Ethan would do to me.

I couldn’t live like this anymore! The idea of shutting him out because of Ethan, notwithstanding the fact that I have been caged in my room for two days, only receiving food that sometimes I didn't have an appetite to eat infuriates me. I had to do something about it!

I felt sick staring at my pale figure.

Accepting Alexander's mind link would be to my detriment, not knowing when that monster would step in when I use the mind link.

I had already had my bath, frustratedly laid on the bed waiting for my breakfast because I didn't eat dinner- I threw it out the window for his dogs to eat. He had dogs but hardly fed them.
