Jenn’s POV

I was in my bedroom when I felt my mark start to sting again. After the Alpha King helped me heal it, it had begun to feel better, but now it was swollen and inflamed. I frowned as I looked at the angry, red skin around the mark, wondering what could be the cause of the inflammation when I felt it.

A sharp pain in the bond that told me exactly what was happening. Even if the bond hadn’t alerted me to Wade’s infidelity, the moans coming from the guest room where Morgan now resided

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    A Sickening Revelation

Liam’s POV We hadn’t found Jenn, as much as I would have liked for that to happen, we’d found Morgan instead. And no matter what means I had to use, I was going to get the truth out of her. I was pacing outside the interrogation room, my knuckles still raw from the last unsuccessful round of questioning, when Luke approached with the pack doctor in tow. “Alpha Liam,” the doctor bowed politely. “The prisoner is stable now. The baby is in no danger. She’s been asking to speak with someone in charge, though I warn you – she’s not an easy one.” I nodded curtly and pushed through the door. The room wasn’t what I expected. After seeing the dungeons where we’d kept other prisoners, I’d braced myself for stone walls and chains. Instead, this was almost comfortable. There was a small bed, a table with chairs, even a window that looked out on nothing but grey sky. Morgan sat at the table, her hands cuffed in front of her, but there was nothing defeated in her posture. Her chin was lifted

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    My Fated Mate Is Missing

Wade’s POV Morgan was with her father! The thought wouldn’t leave my head as I stumbled through the forest, following a scent that grew fainter with every step. The Mad Alpha had her. Her own father had taken her, and I couldn’t even catch her trail properly. What kind of a mate was I? I should have protected her. Should have been there when he came for her. Instead, I was…. Trying to save my ex from getting blown to bits by an explosion? I didn’t even know which would be worse. Finding out later that I could have protected Jenn or this. At least, I would have my fated mate by myself. I used that to comfort myself. The scent shifted again, and I stopped, breathing deep, trying to lock onto it, but there was still nothing. Just the fading memory of her, slipping through my fingers like water. I pushed forward anyway. What else could I do? The attack came without warning. One moment I was alone, the next, a bear slammed into me from the side, sending me crashing through the un

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    An Unexpected Proposition

Jenn’s POV It seemed that everything was a game to the mad Alpha. The smirk on his face was proof of that. So I decided to try and play along. “Kill her if you want,” I said, forcing my voice to stay flat and indifferent. “But I’m surprised you think she’s played her part already.” He chuckled, and I caught Elayne’s eyes for just a second. She looked like she wanted to scream, but she clenched her jaw as the claws dug deeper into her neck. I just hoped she wasn’t as stupid as I thought she was and understood what I was trying to do. Else, her life was gone. And I could say I tried. “Elaborate,” the Mad Alpha encouraged. I hid a smile. “Just because she doesn’t mean much to me doesn’t mean she has no use for you.” I chose every word carefully. “She’s still Wade’s cousin. And Wade is still the Alpha of the Moonlit Pack.” “Which is bankrupt now.” He smirked, clearly enjoying this. “How long until his own people turn on him? How long until other Alphas come to claim his land? How

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    I Have Nothing To Give

Jenn’s POV I slowly peeled my eyes open, blinking a few times as I tried to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings. For a few seconds, disoriented and confused, I thought maybe Liam had taken me back to his estate. Maybe it was a surprise and he’d prepared a new room for me. Then the door opened, and reality crashed back down. Last night, Osiris had changed my rooms or should I say cells. He and more than twenty soldiers had transported me from the dungeon to a cozy bedroom in a mansion. The room was beautiful, warm, and luxurious. But it didn’t change the fact that I was in the home of my archenemies. And I was their prisoner. I glanced at the door, half hoping it was Osiris who came in but it wasn’t. The Mad Alpha walked in, that smug grin plastered all over his face. The way he moved, the easy confidence – this was his territory after all. He was too comfortable here. Another realization hit me: cameras. There had to be cameras in this room. How else would he know I was awak

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    Jenn Is Missing

Liam’s POV I was following the scent of the Mad Alpha, wishing for nothing more than tearing his head off with my bare hands. This would solve most of my problems, as the sly bastard was the brain behind everything. Eliminating him would be crucial for victory. But I knew that was far-reaching. I sped up, letting my wolf take control. Soon I saw a blur of movement ahead. The Mad Alpha’s scent was unmistakable now. I didn’t hesitate – I charged, slamming into the figure from behind and knocking him off his feet. My wolf was massive, powerful, bred for combat. I would have overpowered him easily if not for the two bears that emerged from the treeline. They were huge, aggressive, and clearly trained for this. It took me precious minutes to rip through them, minutes I couldn’t afford to waste. When I finally turned back to my prey, two things hit me at once. First, Elayne was nowhere to be seen. The Mad Alpha had been holding her when he fled, but she wasn’t here now. He must have h

  • Bound By Deception:The Alpha’s Betrayal    Under Their Protection

Jenn’s POV Alva! Why hadn’t I realized she wasn’t here? I turned to Simon, biting hard on my bottom lip. If anything happened to her, I would never forgive myself. If I brought her here. I was responsible for her. “Where’s Alva?” I asked my Gamma, and he paused. “Wasn’t she supposed to come with this group?” “She was,” Simon confirmed and then looked at the soldier next to him. “Derek, where is Alva?” “She sent us alone,” the guy replied, rubbing the back of his neck. “She said there was something important she had to do.” “Shit!” I swore and turned on my heels, running in the direction of where I'd smelled Morgan’s scent before. There was only one thing that my best friend could be doing other than aiding me. And that was finding and killing the one who’d hurt me so many times – Morgan. “Simon,” I mind-linked my Gamma, “See to the prisoners being locked properly and guarded heavily. And send a group of soldiers to the East as well. The Alpha King’s men, if you can find any.
