Sofia POV

I couldn’t find my voice. He’s Luca Moretti? The most powerful mafia syndicate? No! What have I gotten myself into…

“Looks like you’re thinking about something, aren’t you?” Luca said, breaking my thoughts before I could speak.

“Well, I’m not. Just say what you want and leave, Luca.”

My father looked terrified. The fear in his eyes showed that he truly knew who Luca was, and that scared me even more.

“You heard your daughter, right? She asked me to leave.”

“No, please,” my father begged, trembling. “I beg you on her behalf. Forgive her. We’ll do anything you want, sir.”

Before I could react, one of Luca’s men punched my father in the face. He groaned in pain and could barely stay on his knees.

“You should’ve taught your daughter some manners,” Luca said coldly, grabbing my father by the collar.

“Let my father go, Luca. I’ll do whatever you want me to do,” I stuttered, tears welling up in my eyes.

He was still my father — the only family I had left. I couldn’t stand to lose him too.

“You’re going to come with me,” Luca said firmly, “and start a new life with me.”

My heart almost stopped. Who in the world has a one-night stand with a stranger and then demands she live with him afterward?

Isn’t that some sick shit ? Of course, I didn’t dare say it aloud — not if I wanted to keep my throat intact.

“She’s yours for life, sir,” my father said coldly. “Do whatever you want with her. I don’t care.”

His words hit me like a knife. I’d always known my father hated me, but this? I was the only child left for me, yet he didn’t even try to hide his disgust.

“Looks like you truly mean nothing to him,” Luca muttered. “That works in my favor. Now get in the car.”

I froze. My body wouldn’t move, and one of his men came closer, gripping my arm roughly to drag me toward the car.

But before he could, Luca kicked him hard in the knee.

“You bastard! Did I tell you to touch her?” he snapped.

What the hell was this? Why was he acting so obsessed with me? For goodness’ sake, I was just a nobody.

And just like that, I left my father’s house and ended up in Luca’s mansion.

The place looked like a fortress — hidden behind tall gates and thick hedges. When we arrived, the massive double doors opened into a grand marble foyer with a sweeping staircase and a crystal chandelier.

Holy crap… this must’ve cost a fortune.

“Stop staring and go upstairs,” Luca ordered. “Get dressed and meet me at the dining room.”

I obeyed quietly as one of his men led me to the room. It was bigger than my entire house —easily a hundred times larger.

I sank into the warm bath, finally letting myself relax — until a loud bang made me jump.

Before I could react, Luca was standing in front of me, his eyes on my bare skin.

“How dare you barge in like that?” I snapped, covering myself.

“Everything here belongs to me, remember?” he said calmly. “Your body, your soul… and your life. You’ll breathe for me, Sofia. You’ll live for me and do whatever I tell you.”

“I don’t belong to anyone, Luca,” I said sharply, though my heart betrayed my words. “No matter what you do, I’ll never belong to you.”

I turned to grab some clothes, but his voice stopped me cold.

“Don’t you dare walk away while I’m still talking to you, Sofia. I won’t tolerate that.”

He stepped closer. “Now, get back into the tub and watch me do whatever I want with you.”

Gosh! My whole body trembled. I hated how weak I felt, how my body betrayed me the moment his hands touched me.

He lifted me gently and placed me back in the water.

“Goodness, Sofia,” he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. “You smell so good. I can’t get enough of you.”

Then he kissed my neck — slow, deep, and full of hunger. I should’ve pushed him away… but instead, I wanted more.

Sofia! Come to your senses! I screamed in my head. You can’t let this happen again.

I was lost in my thoughts when a sudden knock came from the door.

“Boss. He’s here.”

Luca froze. His confident expression vanished, replaced by fear. Whoever had just arrived was clearly someone he dreaded.

“Get up and stay behind the curtain,” he whispered urgently.

“What? Why should I?” I stammered.

“Now, Sofia! Do as I say!”

I jumped up and hid behind the curtain near the shower. Luca closed the bathroom door gently, almost nervously.

Then I heard a deep, thunderous voice.

“You bastard!” A loud punch followed. “How dare you lose such a huge amount of money? I regret having you as my son!”

My eyes widened. His father? The most feared mafia lord in the country?

No… this couldn’t be real. I needed to get out of here — fast. My hands shook, and in panic, I accidentally pulled the curtain, causing it to fall loudly to the floor.

The sound was faint — but not faint enough.

They both heard it.

Oh no. I was doomed. My heart raced as tears filled my eyes. This can’t be the end of me. Not like this. I still have so much I want to do.

I was crying quietly when the door creaked open…

— and that’s when everything went silent.

Luca’s POV The slap of her heels fading down the hallway echoed louder than any gunshot. Sofia had just seen the worst possible moment — and the truth was, I didn’t even do it.“Luca, wait—” Priscilla purred, reaching for me again, her red lipstick still smeared from that unwanted kiss.I shoved her so hard she stumbled and hit the floor. “Don’t you ever touch me again,” I growled. Her smirk faltered. “You used to like it.”“I never did,” I snapped. “You’re my father’s choice, not mine. And after what you just pulled, don’t ever show your face near Sofia again.”Priscilla’s eyes narrowed, venom flashing behind them. “You’ll regret choosing her. Alfonso will—”I stepped forward, cutting her off with a glare that made her freeze. “So it was you. You told Alfonso about the wedding, didn’t you?”She looked away, silent. That was all the confirmation I needed.I turned and stormed out before I did something worse. My hands were shaking from anger — at her, at Alfonso, and at mysel

Sofia’s POVI couldn’t sleep all night. The thought of marrying Luca Moretti by sunrise made my stomach twist. I kept staring at the ceiling, wondering if there was a way out of this nightmare. But every time I thought of my father tied to that chair, I froze. I was trapped.Morning came too soon. I was still sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing the same silk robe, when the knock came.“Come in,” I muttered, expecting one of Luca’s men.But instead, a tall man with sharp green eyes and a lazy smirk walked in. He wasn’t one of Luca’s men. His black suit screamed money, but his attitude screamed danger.“Good morning, beautiful,” he said smoothly. “You must be Sofia Ricci.”I frowned. “Who are you?”“Alfonso Romano,” he said, offering a hand I didn’t take. “I came to congratulate your soon-to-be husband.”My heart skipped. “You… you know about the wedding?”He smirked, his eyes glinting with something mischievous. “Of course. Sofia."And where do you think you are coming from?" I heard my father's voice behind me and shivered, almost dropping my heels and handbag in my hand.'Damn! What was I supposed to say now?' I wondered as I turned around slowly to face him. His face scrunched up into a frown as he looked over my outfit."I believe I asked you a question." He said and I took a deep breath."I went out with Cherry for yesterday's graduation and ended up sleeping over at her place." I lied.'Well not exactly.' I thought with a pounding heartbeat."And you couldn't call? Have you started whoring yourself out there now?" He scoffed, eyeing me like I was some dirt. His action pinged my heart, as if a knife had been shoved in."Daddy." I called out in disbelief that he could think such about me. Though, he wasn't exactly wrong, was he?But I didn't do it intentionally. I was drugged. These thoughts brought tears to my eyes and I turned around, storming to my room and not bothering to listen to what he was s

Sofia. The next morning I woke up with a banging headache and let out a moan as I pressed my hand to my forehead. I flicked my eyelids open only to shut them back again, due to the blazing sunlight flashing into the room.I took in a deep breath and struggled to sit up despite feeling so tired and my entire body aching for reasons best known to it. I opened my eyes again, to see I did not recognize this room.'I mean it wasn't my bedroom and was even way bigger than it, so what was I doing here and how did I get here?' I pondered, soon getting an answer to my question.I tried reaching on the bed for my phone when my hand hit someone else and I froze, my eyeballs widening. Who was that? Did Cherry pass out beside me or something?A loud, deep groan erupted from the figure laying beside me on the bed and I almost jumped out of my skin.'Was that a guy? If yes, what the hell was I doing besides one on the bed?' I asked myself as I looked down with a racing heart to realize I was unclad,
