Chapter 69

Dark clouds covered the sky as Oliver's body burned in the fire. The rain that fell hide the tears that dripped from Lucian's, Eric's, and Horace's eyes. Garret who was standing with them looked at them with sadness filling his eyes. He could feel how sad they were to lose Oliver forever.

They all returned to the tent after the burial ceremony was over. Lucian was sitting on a chair while Eric, Horace, and Garret were standing in front of him.

"Your Highness, I'm sorry for your loss," Garret said into Lucian's eyes in a mournful tone. Lucian said nothing just looking at him with deep sadness in his eyes.

Garret was silent as he hesitated to speak. He asked himself if this was the right time to pass the message from his queen to him. "Your Highness," he finally said. "I just got a message from my queen. She said she wanted to meet you at her palace."
