Chapter 68

Violet laid Darius' body on the bed in tears. She placed the wood carving in the shape of the violet flower that took his life in his hands which was on his chest. She stared at his face with her heart crying. Sadness and guilt gripped her at the same time because she had taken the life of the person who loved her with all his heart.

Violet wiped her tears as she tried to stop crying. She told herself she must save the life of the person she loves most. She then walked to the door and opened it. There were no guards manning the door because Darius had told them to leave. She quickly ran to find Garret. He is the head of the palace guard who is loyal to Aurora. She wanted to ask him for help to save his queen.

Violet felt relieved when she saw Garret and the six guards walking down the hall of the palace. "Wait!" she said in a loud voice making them all turn their heads towards her. She quickly ran over and stood in front of them catching her breath.
