Chapter 8

“Open this door now!”

It surprised Violet to hear a woman's voice banging on the door. She recognized the voice. It was the voice of the maid who bullied her back then. Her heart was racing with both fear and anxiety as her body petrified. She too scared to get up from her chair to open the door.

“I knew you were in there! Open this door or Princess Selina will cut your head off!”

Violet had no choice but to obey. She then stood up from her chair, walked over, and opened the door. The maid shoved Violet on the shoulder hard as she walked in and stood before her with her angry eyes fixed on hers.

“Move now! Princess Selina ordered you to clean her room!”

“I must not leave this room. Prince Lucian ordered me to do that.”

The maid suddenly slapped Violet’s cheek so hard. “You better shut up or I’ll slap you every time you open your mouth,” she said, glaring at her.

Violet held her cheek with her trembling hand while enduring the pain and fear, tears dripping from her sad eyes.

“Get off your ass now! And follow me!” the maid snapped at Violet before she walked out of the attic arrogantly. Violet wiped the tears from her cheeks and followed behind her.

They stopped their steps when they were in front of Selina's bedroom door. The maid opened the door. “Clean this room and wait me here when you're done.” Violet nodded obediently to her and walked into the room. The maid closed the door. She had an evil smile on her face, then walked back to the attic.

She glanced left and right warily as she stood in front of the attic door. She opened the door and walked inside when she was sure no one was around. She took out a beautiful diamond necklace from her pocket and put it in the old wooden cupboard in the room. “That slut,” she smiled evilly, “she will soon lose her hand.” She walked out the door, closed the door, and left the attic back to Selina's room.

The maid opened the door of the room when she reached there and walked into the room. Violet, who was standing by the door, looked at her with fear in her eyes.

“Are you done?” the maid pretended to ask as she stood before Violet. “I don't know what to clean because this room is already clean,” Violet said confusedly.

The maid suppressed her smile and said, “You can go now.” Violet fell silent, staring at her. Her words and behavior made her feel even more confused.

“Why are you still standing here! Go back to the attic now!” It frightened Violet to hear the maid yell at her, making her to rush out of the door and leave the room.

Violet ran into the tall stranger as she rounded the corner of the room, bumping into his hard chest. “Not so fast,” he said, holding her shoulders.

“I’m so sorry!” Violet said, struck by his handsome face, his brown eyes dark. For a second she thought it was Lucian, then she realized that the man wasn't him. She immediately took a few steps back as she breathed nervously.

The man standing in front of Violet was Lester Steverus. A charming, handsome prince who has an evil heart.

Lester couldn't take his eyes off Violet. Her beautiful face and her sexy body arouse lust and desire inside him. She made him wanted so badly to touch, taste, and enjoy every inch of her.

Violet stepped back with her heart racing as Lester stepped closer to her. It petrified her body as her back was against the wall with him before her. He wrapped his left arm around her waist while his right hand held her chin, with his lustful eyes fixed on hers. “What's your name?” he asked in a raspy voice.

He heard nothing from her mouth, he could only hear her frightened breath. He had a devilish smile on his face. He really enjoyed seeing the fear and helplessness in her eyes. “I want you. From now on you will be mine.”

He shocked her by saying that. She gasped in fright as he tucked his right hand behind her neck and kissed her lips in a hungry kiss. He tightened his grip on her, tucking his thigh between her thighs, pressing it against her pussy as she struggled to keep her from moving. She was so scared and helpless that tears were falling from her eyes.

“Prince Lester, please let go of her!”

Lester released Violet from his grip and looked in the direction where the voice came from and he saw Albert standing on his right near to them. Violet moved close to Albert as if for protection, staring at Lester with great fear in her eyes. Her body was trembling as she could hear her rapid heartbeat in her ears.

Lester looked into Albert's eyes with a lethal glare. “Albert! Since when did you have the guts to give me orders!”

“Please forgive my impoliteness,” Albert said as he bowed politely. “But I'm afraid this girl already belongs to Prince Lucian.”

Albert's words intrigued Lester. He suddenly remembered what Selina had told him. “Is she the princess of the Merrill kingdom?” he asked Albert. “Yes, my prince,” Albert replied with a polite nod.

Lester moved his gaze to Violet's eyes. “Now I know the reason why he didn't kill her,” he said with devilish and lustful eyes.

Lester's words confused Violet, and her gaze frightened her. Fear and a chill ran down her spine every time she saw the look in his eyes.

“Then I will take my leave now,” Albert said, and bowed politely to Lester. Albert looked into Violet's eyes, giving her signal to go with him before he took a step. Violet then walked after him from behind.

Lester watched them walk away from him with his cold, evil eyes. He wanted so badly to have Violet as his own, and that made him even more eager to kill Lucian.

Albert and Violet stopped their footsteps when they were in front of the attic door. It made Violet curious to see the two soldiers standing guard at the door.

Albert looked into Violet's eyes. “Stay inside. Don’t be afraid. They will guard here,” he said, his words and his gentle gaze making Violet feel calmer. Violet nodded obediently to him, then she opened the door and walked into the room and closed the door.

“No one is allowed into this room. Let me know if anything happens,” Albert said warily to the soldiers. “Yes, sir,” the soldiers answered with the same look as him. Albert then walked away from the room.

It wasn't long before the soldiers saw Selina walking towards them with a maid beside her and two soldiers behind her. Selina was curious when she saw the soldiers standing guard at the door.

“My princess,” the soldiers greeted, bowing politely as Selina stood before them. “What are you two doing here?” Selina asked. “Prince Lucian ordered us to stand guard here,” said one soldier.

Anger filled Selina's eyes. She was furious with Lucian for protecting Violet. “You two don't need to be on guard here. Leave now!” Selina said to the soldiers.

The soldiers looked at each other with both worry and fear in their eyes. They looked back at Selina. “Forgive us, my princess. We can not leave here,” said one soldier.

“How dare you disobey me!” Selina snapped at them. “I'll cut off your heads if you're still standing here!”

The soldiers were frightened upon hearing Selina's words. They had no choice but to do as she told them to.

Selina, along with her maid and soldiers, then walked into the room. Selina and her maid had evil smiles on their faces looking at Violet, who was standing before them terrified.

Selina's face turned into an angry expression. “You dirty slut! How dare you steal my necklace!” she said to Violet. Selina shocked Violet by saying that. “I-I didn't steal your necklace,” Violet said, her voice trembling.

“Silence! I'll cut your tongue if you still dare to speak!” Selina snapped at Violet, then she turned to the maid standing next to her and signaled her. The maid nodded at her with an evil look before she walked over to the old wooden cupboard where she had put the necklace earlier. It made her startled and curious when she didn't find the necklace in it. She quickly looked at Selina and told her about this by shaking her head.

Selina glared angrily at her maid, making her maid look down in fear. Selina turned her gaze to Violet. “Where's my necklace! Where did you hide it!”

“I told you I didn't take your necklace. I'm telling the truth,” Violet said honestly. “You liar! I don't believe you!” Selina then turned to the soldiers who were standing behind her. “Cut off her hand now as punishment for her for daring to steal!”

“Yes, my princess,” the soldiers said and walked closer to Violet.

Fear gripped Violet firmly, making her body tremble and cold. “No! Please let me go! I really didn't take the necklace,” Violet pleaded with tears as the soldiers grabbed her by the arms and led her to the wooden table in the room and placed her right hand on it. One soldier drew his sword from the sword belt. Violet closed her eyes tightly as she cried as he was about to cut off her hand.
