Married to a man in the outfit

I got married in a black dress.

It was at that wedding I knew my husband wasn’t an ordinary man. We got married in a hotel I found out he owned. It wasn’t a regular wedding although a vicar was called to join us together. The press came in swarms and every breath I took was caught on camera. The only people that looked normal were a man I found out was Alexandro's brother, Ian, and his wife Hannah.

“One minute Xandro is against getting married, the other minute he’s having a wedding. Who are you?” Ian asked me when the wedding was over, although I had heard there was a separate part at night.

He was the one who gave me away, he looked curious, but I didn’t see a look of disapproval on his face.

“We met last year, at NYU.” I began to reply as Alexandro had said I should but joined in and interrupted.

“We don’t need to lie to me, brother,” Alexandro said smiling, he looked at his brother around. Today he looked very handsome, his dark hair had been perfectly styled, making his dark eyes shine brighter, increasing both his allure and dark aura. He was handsome nevertheless, I looked away. “Don’t interrogate the poor girl, ask me instead.

Ian only gave him a look and turned back to his wife who smiled at me, “Welcome to the family Emily.”

I noticed the bulge on her stomach and smiled, “A boy or a girl.” She blushed instantly.

“We decided not to check till the baby is out, I was a boy but Ian wants a girl.” The men had wandered off together.. so we were alone.

Hannah stayed by me as many people came by to congratulate me.

“You look so beautiful, where have you been hiding?” Some questioned, and others gave their congratulations and went to eat the cake.

“Tiring isn’t it?” Hannah asked, for some reason, I couldn’t fake a smile with her.

“I’m scared,” I confess.

“Weddings can do that to you, whether you’re in love or not.” She said smiling. It was obvious there was no love between Alexandro and me.

“Easy for you to say, your husband looks quite taken with you,” I stated, the man was talking to my husband but his eyes didn’t leave his wife for more than a few seconds.

“We weren’t in love when we got married too, in fact, I was blackmailed into marrying him.” She said smiling.

My heart began racing, I dared not hope for too much, but I wished Alexandro and I would be friends at least, seeing Hannah’s bulge made me wonder about sex with Alexandro.

The man had huge hands and muscles, what would it be like to run my hands over that chest?

“Penny for your thoughts?” Hannah interrupted my train of thought.

I laughed and blushed.

I felt something buzzing and realized it was my new phone. I had yet to understand how the Apple products worked but I could see a text. It was from Alexandro. “Wear something nice to the after party, the real deal is there.” I looked up to see he was no longer talking to Ian but had disappeared.

“Would you be attending the after-party?” I asked Hanah.

She smiled, “Ian does not like mixing with people in the outfit.”

I frowned, “What’s the outfit?”

Hannah’s face went ashen with shock, “You do not know? You don’t know who you just got married to?”

I fell to the chair in the dressing room of the hotel, Hannah was pacing around the room muttering all kinds of cuss words, but ended with “Stronzo” Which was the Italian word for Asshole.

It had just dawned on me that I was married to the deadliest man in New York, His name wasn’t just King, he was the King of an underworld that dealt with a lot more than money. Drugs and weapons.

My fingers began to tremble, sweat broke on my forehead and the hair behind my back refused to sleep. Even Hannah had no words to make me feel better.

“I have only one advice for you Emily. Make the best of this, don’t let him step on you,” She said at last, but all I could do was smile. Alexandro had meant it. One mess up and I’ll lose my father. He was all I breathed for, I just couldn’t lose Dad.

Chloe came and chose a black short gown for the reception, my wedding gown had been a huge black flowing gown, I liked it though. The stones made it heavy, but it sparkled at every turn.

Alexandro had said he would be waiting for me at the party, it was to be held at the same spot the wedding was held but it looked so different. The lights had been changed to disco lights, blue and purple circles dancing around. Men with power and tattoos sitting in the bar where drinks were being mixed. Women with extremely short dresses stood beside their men while others were dancing with poles.

This was the world I now belonged to, was it better than sleeping in the streets?

I looked at my dress, did I look like a bride? This was supposed to be my party.

I turned back before anyone spotted me.

Luckilly, Chloe was still in the suite.

“Chloe, I cannot wear this!” I knew exactly what would be perfect.

ALEXANDRO

I WAS FUMMING MAD! I dare not take it out on Hannah because she was pregnant and Ian would let loose if I raised my voice on his wife. So I sat and waited for my wife because it was her fucking fault.

How could she claim not to know who I was? Would an ordinary man have a wedding with his wife dressed in black? Dear God she had looked extremely sexy in that gown. It was big and flowing but the neckline had been perfect, high enough to be called modest but low enough to reveal enough cleavage to tease a man. Every man that had come to congratulate her had his eyes on her breast, of which she had more than enough.

I hated how Hannah came to scold me for marrying a woman through lies. It made me feel uneasy, in a way I didn’t like. This wouldn’t be the first time I was taking advantage of someone’s misfortune.

“Alexandro? Isn’t that your wife?” Nate whispered beside me, I turned to see every man in the room staring at someone at the door.

Emily! I felt something thud in my chest.
