"The full moon would appear today and the rites would begin at dawn," someone said in a hushed tone. My ears perked up, eager to know what the rites were about.

Judging from their scent, they were not werewolves and their smelling ability was little to nothing. Unless I make a sound, they won't know I am here.

Pulling my legs up, I tiptoed to a spot nearby, using the stone pillar as my shield.

"Yes, it's going to be bloody tonight. Alpha would be at his peak," her companion responded. My brows knitted together as I leaned closer.

"This night might be the last for the outsider. She will not make it through the Alpha's wrath," the first lady said, shaking her head vigorously in a pitiful manner.

No doubt who she was talking about… I was the only outsider in these four walls. Clenching my fist at the side, my veins thickened at the thought.
