ISOLDE: “I’m a witch. I don't believe the moon goddess can pair me with any wolf, especially one from the royalty. That's why I chose my path early, marrying the love of my life, Alpha King Rowan. We have been married for over five years now, even though we have no children.” “But now…everything has changed. He is no longer the man I fell in love with, he denied me of every right after marrying his fated mate, and the worst? I found out that his younger brother is my fated mate.” “How do I tell Alpha King Rowan that his younger brother is my mate? Or will he release me immediately when he finds out?” FINNIAN: “I left home to train at seventeen years old, taking our father's step to become a warrior worthy of protecting our family and our pack. I couldn't witness my brother's marriage, but he always spoke of his wife as if she were the moon goddess herself–beautiful, kind, perfect.” “Now, I'm back, to witness the opposite of what my brother has been singing to me. But the moon goddess did me dirty when I found out that the woman I was supposed to love, protect, and care for turned out to be Isolde.” “How can I watch him maltreated her…when my wolf and every instinct in me scream that she's mine?”

ISOLDE
“I didn't do it, my king!” I choked out, my voice shaking as tears blurred my vision,” I swear with the moon goodness! I didn't kill her son!”
The guards gathered around me, their boots scratched the floor as they looked at me disgustedly. I lowered my body under their deadly glare. The scent of the blood still lingered.
Velin staggered on her butt with tears rolling down from her eyes, her scream filled the throne room as she collapsed to hug her small, lifeless son’s body on the floor, his lips pale and his golden eyes closed against their wish.
”You must kill her, Rowan!” She wailed in pain,” She did it! That wicked witch killed my baby!”
Alpha King Rowan bent beside her, his hand trembling as he brushed her shoulder slightly. I feel his aura seeking something…I didn't know yet but his look cut something deeper in me.
Pain. Rage. Disgust.
His gaze went back to Velin as if he was warning me,” Stop crying, love. I’ll ensure she speaks the truth…and pay for it!”
“No Rowan! Do it now!” Velin disagreed, wailing,” She has destroyed my life completely. She couldn't give birth and doesn't want anyone else to! She doesn't want anyone to replace her in the palace.”
My heart ached.
Velin held Alpha King Rowan’s royal robe, her fingers dipping into the thick fabric, hot tears gushed out of her eyes carrying the weight of her pain.
My knees gave way as I collapsed on the floor uncontrollably, and guilt rushed through me. Not guilty of murder, but guilty of allowing the boy into my chambers in the first place.
I should’ve slammed the door in his face, but I couldn't ignore a sick child, holding his stomach as if he hadn't eased himself for a week.
How could I ignore him? Not when I loved him like my own, even with his mother’s hatred for me, like Venom, which I still don't understand why.
He would come asking about my magic, and he would smile every time I lit a light in the air. He would laugh anytime a flower bloomed with my power.
He was brilliant, lovely, and had a special light in him. He would play with me before his mother would beat and drag him out of my garden, screaming,” How many times do I have to yell at you not to get near the fruitless witch!”
More tears ran away from my face as I remembered that the lovely boy was the one lying lifeless on the floor now
I didn't know he was poisoned when he came, while I was simply looking for an herb that would heal his stomach ache, as he had told me.
“My…king,” I stammered, not knowing what would happen to me next. His eyes turned red as he stalked towards me. I swallowed hard on the floor.
My eyes were red as a result of the hot tears and pain of losing a friend, an acting child, even though I couldn't give birth to one since my five years of marriage.
Suddenly, I felt a strong hand stuck in my neck,” My King…please,” I struggled as I looked down, facing Alpha King Rowan, and saw him moving me backwards, my hands clawing on his arm.
The guards paved the way for him as if it were war and bowed to avoid his red eyes.
“My…King…please, I don't…” I tried to plead once again, but there was no way I could prove my innocence.
All the evidence pointed at me, even though I didn't do it, no one believed me. The boy died in my care, in my room. A witch who lived among werewolves.
He successfully slammed my back on the wall at the entrance of the king’s room, the stone biting into my spine, and I gasped, tightening my hold on his arm.
“Why Isolde?” He roared,” Why did you do this?! Why did you kill my only heir?! My son! The next Alpha King!”
I struggled to speak,” I swear my kin…ng. I didn't do it,” he tightened his grip and I felt my life almost slipping out of my body.
“Liar!” His voice was thunderous, “After everything I did for you! Still loved you after seeing my mate! You want to repay me with murder?!” he roared, and my heart stopped by his aura pressure over me.
Rage replaced the raw pain that flashed through his eyes. I could feel my soul turning against my body.
“Alpha King! You're going to kill her! What if she's innocent? Don't let your anger overpower your judgement!” A loud and pleading voice came to me like a faint noise.
Felda.
Our third wife.
Quiet. Always studying everything going on.
But Alpha King Rowan didn't move; instead, he returned his deadly glare to me.
The suddenly…everything was still.
A dark and angry aura walked into the hall like a wind breaking into hard walls, coming straight into the King's room.
My witch senses rose as I felt something what was more than death coming towards me.
The werewolves made an uncomfortable grunt as they felt the same dark aura.
But the life left in me was five percent, my hands slipped away from his arm, my eyes closed against their will.
I slumped to the floor as he released his arm from my neck and drove into darkness.
~~~
“No. No. No! Don't kill him,” I gasped to the earth, my heart pounding heavily, and looked around with fear.
What was happening to me?
A dream.
I just had a dream about the dead heir.
But where was I?
Was I still alive? Because everywhere looked so dark.
Where in hell was this place?
I tried to stand up, but I couldn't. Instead, I felt my skin sliced beneath a silver chain that hugged my wrists and ankles.
I bit my lips as the tears that fell from my eyes were uncontrollable. The only light that was here was from the silver chains, I staggered as I forced myself to stand on my feet, then the realization dawned on me.
A dungeon.
I was thrown into the palace dungeon, the cursed dungeon.
The one where spirits fed on the forsaken souls.
The one where any living soul trapped in, never comes out.
My heart began racing as I clutched the dark, cold wall, fear roaring inside me.
He should have just killed me instead of throwing me into the dungeon, feeding my soul to the hungry evil spirit.
He hindered my power with the silver chains, if they weren't on me, I would have been able to take down any spirit with my power
But why?
Why would Alpha King Rowan do this to me?
VELINI couldn't believe my ears.I stood there, listening from the hallway like a thief in my own palace, trying to confirm what Rowan and his brother were talking about.Could it be…? No. No way.Did Rowan go back to her?It shouldn't be. It mustn’t be!Because why the hell would he? After everything she’s done? After killing my son?!Oh no. That witch is dead already. She just doesn’t know it yet.I’ll show her the difference between a Luna and a wannabe Queen. I’ll make her regret the day she ever stepped foot in this palace. I’ll ruin her life so badly, she’ll have no choice but to walk out of here herself with nothing. And when she does, Rowan will be all mine.I clenched my fists against my thighs, forcing myself to stay seated. My legs itched to march to Rowan’s chamber, to drag her out by her cursed hair and end her right there. But no, not yet. I should be patient.I was in my room, seated like a ticking bomb, waiting for Dorian, my most trusted servant and loyal right hand
FINNIANI waited for Marie, fuming with anger. I wasn’t going to leave until the doctor arrived and checked on her. I needed to see the doctor treating her with my eyes before I left.Soon, the bald-headed doctor of the pack walked in, bowing deeply. “Here I am, Prince Finnian.”I pointed at Isolde lying weakly on the bed. “Take care of her and report anything wrong with her directly to me,” I said, my voice sharp and firm.The doctor trembled slightly and bowed again. “I will definitely do that, my Prince.”I turned to leave, my hand already reaching for the door handle, when I heard a faint, familiar voice behind me.“Prince Finnian? Are you still there?”I turned quickly, rushing back to her side. She was awake now, though her eyes remained closed. The doctor stepped aside as I approached and knelt by her bed.Placing my palm gently on her forehead, I sighed in relief, it wasn’t as hot as before.“Yes, I’m here… Queen,” I whispered, resting her head softly on my thigh. “The doctor
FINNIANI came back from my brother's order to kill one of the elders who had disobeyed him and ran away. The bastard knew I would be sent after him and still packed his things, leaving his wife and kids behind like nothing mattered. Coward.Well, I brought his head back, just as my brother requested. As I stepped out of his chamber, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my chest.What the hell?That wasn’t from me. It didn’t feel like mine. It came from someone else. But who?"Do you know, Marlin?" I asked my wolf.He shook his head in my mind. 'I didn't feel anything either.'I shrugged the feeling off.Maybe it was nothing. I turned to look out of the hallway, ready to head to my house, not too far from the palace, but I paused.I hadn’t seen Isolde since yesterday. Not even once.How was she?How would she be doing by now?‘Stop thinking and go check her,’ Marlin said, sounding like a bossy old man.I rolled my eyes. "You're trying to control me now because of her?"‘I don’t know. You’
FELDAI ignored whoever was knocking. I dragged my feet toward my brown wooden chair, sinking into it like all the strength had left my body.Knock. Knock.He knocked again.“Who the hell are you?” I shouted, without lifting my head.A bold, unfamiliar voice answered, “It’s me, Daze…”Daze?The name rang a bell, but it didn’t fully register. My head wasn’t working. My emotions were a mess. I wasn’t even supposed to still be standing, not after the pain I’d just gone through.“What do you want?” I finally asked, sighing heavily when I felt his aura start to shift, like he was getting impatient.“You have a message. From someone,” he replied quickly, like he couldn’t wait to drop it off and leave."From who," I inquired without moving an inch.“I don’t know, Queen Felda. You can open the door to check it.”I hissed.Who was he to tell me what to do?I stood with fury and flung open the door with a spell. He quickly moved back to avoid being hit. His reflex was sharp, wolf instincts on f
FELDA“Let me through,” I commanded the guards standing at King Rowan's chamber door, but instead of moving, they only bowed to me.“I said, let me through,” I repeated, my voice louder this time, as if they hadn't heard me the first time.The one on the right side bowed again. “I'm sorry, Queen Felda… the King instructed us not to allow anyone inside.”The other three hefty men joined him, bowing their heads as if that would stop me.“Including me?” I asked coldly.He didn’t answer.“Raise your head!” I snapped, forcing the words through clenched teeth.He slowly raised his head, but avoided my eyes like I was a curse he didn’t want to catch. “Tell him it’s Felda. It's me. I need to see him.”“We’re sorry…” another guard tried to chip in, but the moment his voice reached my ears, I turned to him with a glare that shut him up mid-sentence.I hissed, lifting the hem of my dress to step forward, but they blocked me again.What sort of nonsense was this?Who the hell did they think they
ISOLDEAt NightI was dressed up all day, looking like a real queen in a palace. I didn't see Finnian and my heart lunged to see him.I was informed he went on a quick mission given to him by Alpha King Rowan.I swallowed hard in panic remembering how one of the maids had told me I should prepare myself in ten minutes to see Alpha King Rowan. He had meetings later in the day which prevented me from seeing him earlier.I was relieved that I wasn't going to see him again, not until Marie announced to me ten minutes earlier.What did he want from me now?Will he kill me now when Finnian wasn't around to protect me?Knock. Knock.Marie entered without even waiting for my response, seeing that the door was slightly opened.She was chubby but still carried herself well, her pumpkin face was beautifully shaped in round form with her pink lips placed at the right place.She bowed quickly,” It's time my queen.”I moved closer to her and raised her chin with my two fingers. She shivered and mov
