Stepping downstairs, I was greeted by the sight of my family seated around the table for lunch. My mother had a beautiful smile on her face.

" Trust you had a good rest?" She asked and I nodded.

" That's good. Join us for lunch. Your father prepared all your favourites." She added.

Turning to look at my father, he smiled at me.

I rushed to him, hugging him. He hugged me back, patting my back.

" You're the best dad in the whole world." I praised and he pinched my cheeks.

" And you are the best daughter there is. Having you in our lives was the most beautiful blessing we ever got." He said. For some reason, I could feel that there was more he meant but I ignored, happy that I was finally with my family.

I took a seat beside my brother and smiled at him.

" What took you so long to come down? Had a good dream?" He teased me.

I stuck out my tongue at him and turned my attention to the food.

" Let's eat." My mom said and we began eating.
