Chapter - 04 - That Easy?

Alenna…….‘s standpoint.

His options might be merciless, but it’s the end of a cruel fate.

“I chose to sacrifice my life for them,” I declared, my tone grounded and expression solid to mask whatever fear I had plaguing my system right now.

He smirked, a diabolical side smile. His index went up to his lips as he tilted his head a little to the side, his gaze focused on me.

“Interesting, step forward will you..?” He flicked at me, beckoning for me to come close.

I pushed out of my knelt down position and stalked forward at a draggy pace. I’ve chosen to die, to sacrifice myself without knowing the fate of my family.

Did they survive this ambush? Or they’ve gone along with it? I could only pray hard to the goddess to please keep them safe and alive.

I arrived and stood at the same spot he had the innocent guy drained of life moments ago. Ready to embrace my fate, my eyes snapped close.

“Any last words?”

His voice breezed through my hearing, but I shook my head negatively in response, keeping mute. We should get this over with.

“Whatever,”

The next I felt was the chilling cold of a certain darkness curling up at my essence. There wasn’t any pain at first, but the cold soon started to become unbearable as it sucked for my soul.

My body responded in physical vibrations. I was visibly shaking, and visibly in torture of whatever was happening to me.

I heard grunts, stiffened male grunts.

What’s going on? It didn’t take long for him to kill that guy, why is it suddenly different with me?

I gasped out steams, cold filthy steams as I forced my eyes open to see for myself what was happening.

My eyes landed straight on the alpha, who I found visibly in pain like I was. The usual darkness in his eyes was gone and replaced with a distinctive note of his anguish.

How? How is this happening?!

He stopped reaching to suck my soul off and cut the suffering to draw his darkness back in. He yawned out a small smile as the darkness fully reverted back inside of him.

I wasn’t killed. He couldn’t kill me?!

Does this make the moon goddess on my side or is she not letting me off the easy way?

I could’ve escaped my fate with him, die as a hero and seek a future for my family in the afterlife. However, here I am still alive and stuck to the mate bond that’s probably the reason why he’s unable to kill me.

He rose up from his seat, his dominating height instantly towering above me.

“Who are you?”

The usual humor in his voice was gone, replaced by a dead serious tinge.

I didn’t know whether to match his gaze, but something in me told me to keep my head down. It’ll be safer that way.

“Answer me!”

“Lady Alenna of House Grewin. Your fated mate!”

“No!” He thundered sharply, as though triggered by the words stated in my response.

“Guards!”

Men came to my side merely after he called for them.

“Throw her back where she belongs, until I figure out whatever she is and the reason why she can’t be consumed. I want her locked up and away from my sight!” He sentenced; the tone of his order harsh and cruel.

“Please let my people go. I did what you asked, remain by your honor and stick to your words as well!” I screamed my words out at him as I was torn off the spot I stood and getting dragged out of the hall.

I needed to be sure he wouldn’t slaughter my people, but knowing the kind of person he is. That’s hardly reliable.

I was taken back to my cell, forced back into my silver chains and left on the floor to rot away until I’m ever needed again for his attention.

Then I realized something. The faint energy I walked out of here with did not come back in here with me. My energy was weirdly replenished, the frailness was gone like it was never there to begin with.

How did this happen?

I wasted no time to drag against the chains that held me bound.

Not much energy was exhausted breaking out of the chains, I got to the door and did the same thing to it.

One of the guards must’ve heard the noise generated from me breaking free and sent himself in to check out what was happening.

He saw me and before he could react, I rushed and grabbed him by his neck. Pure rage seeped through my features as I glared down at him.

He swung at me, trying to slap my hand off his neck, but I grabbed his arm by his wrist before he could land his swing on my hand. I twisted the wrist that left his ankle broken.

My grip on his neck tightened. “Is my father dead?” I asked.

“I’ll die before I answer-“

I twisted the neck before he could complete his sentence. He said he would die which means no useful information will ever come out of him.

Now I just need to make it to the underground chamber unseen, check on my siblings to see whether they’re alive and escort them to safety if they’re.

For someone who has me as a prisoner, not many guards were stationed to keep a watch on me.

They must’ve thought I’d remain weakened like I was before we left the cell. I managed to evade any guards of his with the help of my super speed till I made it up to the chambers.

I skipped through the raft of rooms, heading straight to the corner that leads to the underground chamber.

I went in, nervous of what I’d meet but lit up once the sight of my two brothers asleep came into view.

They’re alive!

I walked over to them, and my movements must’ve stirred the youngest of us all awake. He woke up and instantly tapped his brother into consciousness as well.

“Alenna is here! Alenna is alive!” He chanted in a quiet voice as he tapped repeatedly on his brother.

I squatted down to their position as I pulled the both of them in for a quick hug. Goddess I’m relieved, so relieved.

Thanks to the whelming universe, and the moon goddess for keeping my sibling safe. I may have never recovered if I discovered that they were consumed along with those who perished in the alpha’s darkness.

“I’m so sorry it took me this long to come for you both. I’m so sorry.” I was close to tears as I apologized. I wonder how they’ve been surviving alone down here without any resources or whatever.

I was locked in that cell for two good days after the alpha’s invasion.

“I’m getting you both out of here. We can no longer stay here cause it’s not safe. I-“

“It’s not safe from who exactly?”

My system ran chill and hot at the heard of that voice. No no no no.

I stood up, turned around and there he was. His diabolical smirk pasted on his face with his predatory gaze preying over me and my siblings.

He’d have to kill me before I let him kill my siblings!

“Stay away from them!” I took a fighting stance as my palm folded into fists.

It just was never going to be that easy, would it?

  • Bound To The Night Alpha    Deadliest Options

Chapter - 03 - Deadliest Options Alenna……‘s standpoint I was weak, my mouth tasted sour, and my system felt sore. Trails of numbness plagued all over my skin, and the cracked lines of cold bathed me in scars. I coughed, frailed and almost choked out my lungs. This is what has become my life since the arrival of the cruel Alpha. He’s had half of the kingdom’s population consumed and no more, whilst the few rest of us are now forcefully subjected to his grim rules and reign. Turns out his darkness refusing to swallow me once spread out was a phenomenon he’s never experienced, and was willing to understand before he plans to take my life. I’ve been thrown inside this dark dungeon for sometime now, locked away from seeing the sun or the night sky in general. This is the new fate of a whole nation’s princess. A prisoner locked up, starved and battered with zero regard for whatever happens to her. I couldn’t check on my siblings or find out what has become of their own fate as well.

Chapter - 02 - A Cruel FateAlenna’s The sudden force whelmed over my will, and I found myself weakened at the knees. I fought to keep my stance still, but ultimately faltered as I shattered whole onto my knees. He could view my struggle. As if amused, his head tilted while his gaze lowered on me like a vulture. I didn’t mind my defeat, I kept to my hustle to wiggle off the potency of his might that had me lagging and on my knees. My efforts caught his attention as he curved a little smirk. Slowly, he drifted close and closer. Darkness spread across from him as he covered the little distance between us, and the darkness reverted back inside of him once he arrived in front of me. I strained to bop my head up to look into his face. I blinked, utterly stunned by his scarring beauty. “Like what you see?” He remarked at my absolute fascination. I frowned instantly, casting a cold expression. “Why are you here?” I grilled, unbothered by the rage lacing my tone at him. He tsked, his

Chapter - 01 - The Fall Of House Grewin Alenna…….’s standpoint. The night was in its usual calmness, and the sky was gentle as ever. It was my nightly routine to watch the stars through the window before I settled in for the day.I was still engrossed in the night’s beauty when the first scream ripped out into the air, raw and the loudest I’ve ever heard- a hurtful screech to my ears. My vision zoomed into the kingdom below me, alarmed and frightened. Something is wrong, I squinted at the hooded men on horses as they mounted any houses in sight. My feet took to motion as I dashed out of my room in a frantic pursuit. My mother came out to meet me before I could arrive at her chamber, the same dread in her eyes. “Alenna, find your brothers. Get them both to safety,” she instructed before she took off. Dad wasn’t around so the weight of the kingdom’s protection was upon us. The weight of this invasion was upon my mom. I arrived at my brother's chambers to see they were already aw

  • Bound To The Night Alpha    Prologue

Prologue Alenna Two centuries ago, before the domination of werewolves, lived the fearsome days of vampires, in league with the witches. A forged alliance that promised a prominent darkness to rule over the days of the past. Existence was shrunken, survival diminished, and life itself withered little by little. There was no savior, no knight, no hero produced by the old or new gods to save humanity. No matter the prayers, the pleas, the cries to the sky, to the old and new gods. There was no interference from them, it was as though they didn’t exist or care to save them as well as listen to their clamors. Chaos mounted the world of supernatural, darkness swayed out the peace, and an era of havoc began. For decades following decades, the world was thrusted into a pirating darkness. The endless abyss of chaos, and the constant shambles of destruction. It was never ending, a version of the end. Tales spoke of how children were born, raised, and died to the world’s cruelty. Only
