Chapter 105 – The Shadow Over the Fence

Crystal’s POV

Alejandro froze beside me. My heartbeat was so strong it felt like Giovanni could hear it.

We didn’t say a word.

We didn’t move.

Because at that moment, we both knew the truth—Gabrielle wasn’t just missing. She was in danger.

We waited for him to leave until we heard the sound of his door shutting, then we both went to our rooms.

Sleep didn’t come easily that night. I tossed and turned, staring at the ceiling as the villa creaked with strange sounds. It was not the usual noise of guards pacing or wind brushing against the windows. These sounds felt heavier, especially after everything that has been going on.

I sat up, holding my breath, because I thought I heard the sound of someone's footsteps. Then I thought it was just my mind playing games. So I laid back on my bed and remained quiet.

There it was again—footsteps. It seemed this person was either tiptoeing or being careful not to wake anyone up, because it was not the hurried

Chapter 114 – Echoes of HeartsCrystal’s POVAlejandro’s gaze lingered on me for a moment longer before he finally shifted his attention to Giovanni. His voice was calm yet firm.“Giovanni, I would like to talk to you about the company—and the upcoming crowning ceremony. There are things we need to discuss.”Giovanni’s brows rose and he smiled, but he nodded. “Of course.”The two of them exchanged a silent gaze, then stepped out together. I listened as their steps grew faint as they walked away. I didn’t know whether to feel happy or scared.Luna let out a slow breath, her eyes still fixed on the men as they walked away. Then she turned to Gabrielle and I, with urgency in her voice.“With what we saw today,” she looked at my face smiling, “we should not waste any more time. Come with me.”Gabrielle and I looked at each other and quickly followed her.In her room, Luna dropped to her knees in front of a chest tucked neatly in the corner. She lifted the lid like it held something fragil

Chapter 113 – Whispers of BloodlinesCrystal’s POVThe garden was too quiet, the kind that made my skin crawl. Gabrielle’s grip on my hands was tight, her eyes shining like she was holding something she couldn’t say out loud.“What is it?” I asked again, tense. My voice already showed how worried I was—I couldn’t hide it.She smiled through her tears and brushed her thumb against my hand. “Relax,” she whispered. “It’s good news… at least, I think it is.”I looked at her confused. “Good news?”Her eyes flickered with something I hadn’t seen in her for days—excitement. “Nana told me something before she died. She said… there is a possibility you could be Giovanni’s child, not Alpha Rossi’s.”I froze. My heart tripped, skipped, stumbled… everything. “Wait—what?”“Yes.” Gabrielle’s voice was tender but she sounded very sure. “I wasn’t going to tell you because Nana wasn’t sure herself, and she didn’t want to give you false hope. But last night…” She pressed her lips together, her breath

Chapter 112 – The Return of PeaceCrystal’s POVWe got back in the morning, everywhere was bright. The villa had never felt so alive the moment we came back. Guards ran ahead, servants filled the halls, you could feel relief and excitement in the air. They cheered, clapped, some even cried when they saw us.But inside, it didn’t feel like a victory. Not to us who came back without Nana.Alejandro didn’t smile. He didn’t even look at anyone. His arms were wrapped tight around Giovanni’s unconscious body, carrying him like he was carrying the whole world. His shoulders bent, as he walked. He wasn’t just weighed down by his brother—he was weighed down by the guilt of leaving Nana behind.I followed with Frances and Gabrielle at my side, but none of us spoke. Alejandro took Giovanni to his room. We followed him, refusing to leave him. The air was thick, filled with grief and exhaustion. Eventually, one by one, we all slept off after a night that seemed like hell. But Alejandro didn’t. He

Chapter 111 – The SacrificeAlejandro’s POVMarco grinned, showing his teeth like he was happy to see us, while he moved around us slowly, like he was savoring the moment.“You think you are ready for me?” His voice was filled with mockery and rage. “Alejandro… Lucian… you think you can harm me?.”Lucian growled low, shifting. His wolf stood tall, and ready to fight. I shifted too, and looked at Giovanni—Marco.“We don’t need to fight Marco, please let go—” before I could finish my sentence, Marco attacked us first. “Marco aimed his claws at me, but I pushed myself aside just in time to dodge his claws. His hand hit the wall behind me forcefully, and it exploded. The wall broke into sharp chunks that scattered everywhere, sharp pieces flying past my face.”I struck back, but his body moved with something unnatural, sharper than a normal wolf. He was stronger, heavier, his claws glowing faintly with every swipe. It was like fighting a shadow that didn’t belong in this world.Lucian pu

Chapter 110 – The TrailCrystal’s POV My body just reacted. My chest burned, but I didn’t stop.“Crystal!” he barked, his voice echoing like thunder.I didn’t stop.My bones cracked as I shifted into full wolf form while running, fur bursting out, my paws hitting the cold ground hard. I dropped to all fours, my wolf taking over, muscles burning with speed. The ropes snapped clean off my wrists as my claws tore them. The door was ahead, and thankfully there were no guards on sight. I could smell the outside air. Freedom.Behind me, Marco’s roar shook the walls. “You can’t run from me!”But I could, and I did. I pushed harder, my claws scraping, and my body slipping through the narrow mouth of the door. The night air hit me like a slap. It was cold and sharp. And then I ran.I didn’t look back. My wolf lungs stretched, pulling in air. I leapt over roots, ducked under branches, faster, faster, faster.I wasn’t just running for me. I was running for Gabrielle, for Frances, for Nana. For

Chapter 109 — The Last Thing She SaidCrystal’s POVGiovanni pressed the brakes so hard my teeth banged together. Everything inside slammed forward. I hit my forehead on the metal floor and I saw stars . For a second I couldn’t breathe, thankfully I was not injured. The doors of the van opened and a rough hand grabbed my phone and ripped it from under my sleeve. My whole body went cold and I started trembling. Marco—no, Giovanni’s body—leaned down and stared at me like he had just caught an enemy, so there was no telling what he was going to do to me. His face was Giovanni’s, but his eyes were empty and hard.“You little pest,” he said. He raised his hand and hit my phone against the floor board until the screen spider-webbed and went dark. He hit me once across my ribs after that, just to make me cough. Pain shot through my head, but I swallowed and endured it, because I couldn’t make a sound.Nana moved then. She hadn’t shown herself before, now she sat up, slow but steady. Her han
