Chapter 19 : Dealing with the past.

Crystal’s POV

That night, I didn’t eat.

I didn’t come down.

I wasn't breathing properly.

My chest felt like a war zone.

I could feel him in my room. Every time the floor creaked below, I wondered if it was him. Every knock, every whisper or laughter from the courtyard, made my nerves seem like live wires and this made me so restless.

I wanted to scream.

I wanted to cry.

I wanted to forget.

But most of all, I wanted to understand.

I wanted to understand why my life was a rollercoaster of pain.

Why was he here? Why now, when I had finally started to feel whole again. Why?

A soft tap came at the window behind me. My heart leapt to my throat.

I turned slowly.

And there he was.

On the terrace.

His eyes watching me like they had never stopped watching me. At that moment I didn't know how to react.

Should I ignore him?

Or should I give a resounding slap for all the pain he put me through?

Chapter 81 – Father and SonAlejandro’s POVWhen Giovanni finally walked through the doors, my chest loosened for the first time all day. I didn’t even try to hide the smile on my face.“Giovanni,” I said, stepping forward. He grinned, reached out for me and pulled me into a tight hug. For a moment, everything and everyone around us didn't matter. I held him, listening to his heartbeat, as if checking to see if this was real. He was here with me. Safe.“I’m glad you made it,” I said happily when I pulled back.“I told you I would come,” he smirked, but then his expression shifted. “Alejandro… I want to see my father.”His tone was steady, he was definitely ready for whatever, no hesitation at all. I searched his face, but I saw nothing but determination. I nodded my head in agreement and I turned to the guards. “Take us to the cell.”The halls were quiet as we walked. I saw Giovanni’s shoulders become stiffer with every step. My wolf stirred, uneasy, like it could already sense what

Chapter 80 – The AttackCrystal’s POVThe morning was calm when Gabrielle and I stepped out of the Crimson pack villa. The sun was up, the air smelled fresh after last night’s rain, and for a moment, it almost felt normal.Mrs Pancho stood on the porch with Roberto and Sophia, waving at us with tears in her eyes. The Crimson Pack warriors were lined up too, showing their respect to us.“Promise you will come back and visit,” Mrs Pancho said, hugging me tightly. Her arms enveloped me with warmth, and her voice sounded like she was holding back tears.“I will,” I whispered back. I hugged her tighter, because she really had become like family. “Thank you for everything.”Gabrielle hugged Sophia, who sniffled and rubbed her eyes. “No matter how much you love the Garcia Pack,” Sophia said, “don’t forget us when you are there.”“I won’t,” Gabrielle smiled, though her eyes were watery too.Roberto chuckled and patted me on the shoulder. “Just make sure when you come back, you bring stories.

Chapter 79 – The ChoiceAlejandro’s POVThe moment I walked out of the dungeon, I heard my wolf’s voice loud and clear in my head.“You should have told him. He doesn’t know Giovanni is alive. He has a right to know.”I clenched my jaw, shutting him out, but the thought wouldn’t leave me. I had seen it in Nikolas’s eyes. He truly believed Giovanni had died in that fire.I went back to Frances’s house, Lucian and Deniro were already waiting, maps spread out on the table, but the second they saw my face, they straightened.Lucian frowned. “What happened? You look like hell.”I leaned on the table, with both of my hands flat against it. “Nikolas doesn’t know Giovanni is alive.”Everyone was silent. Deniro raised his brows up. “What do you mean he doesn’t know?”“I gave him a hint,” I said, in a low voice. “And he broke down. He thought Giovanni died as a child. He buried him in his head, the same way he buried his Luna. He really didn’t know his son survived.”Lucian took a deep breath i

Chapter 78 – The Prisoner’s TruthAlejandro’s POVThe dungeon smelled of wet stone and rusted metal. The walls were filled with moisture and mold. And the flames from the torches were dim and barely lit the very narrow path as I walked down to where Alpha Nikolas was kept. The guards stood straighter when they saw me and quickly bowed their heads, but I didn’t bother looking at them. My eyes stayed on the cell at the end of the hall.Alpha Nikolas. He was chained, and his wrists were red, sore and bleeding from the tight iron around them. His shirt was torn, and he had sweat and dirt sticking on his skin. There was a piece of hard, rotten bread on the floor, tossed there like he was some stray dog. He sat as though he had a hunch back, but even in chains, Alpha Nikolas didn’t look broken.. He raised up his face, when I stepped closer.Something burned deep inside me. I wasn’t angry with him, but I was angry at the way he was treated. He wasn’t some thief or rogue. He was an Alpha who

Chapter 77 - On the RunAlejandro’s POVThe phone almost slipped from my hand.“What did you just say?” My voice came out low and sharp. The guard stammered on the other end, I could sense his fear from the way he hesitated and was breathless while reporting this news to me. “Alpha… Marco escaped. The chains didn’t hold him. He broke free before we could lock him inside the Hollow Dungeon. He killed two guards and injured Alpha Rossi, then he vanished into the forest.”My blood boiled instantly. I slammed my fist onto the desk by my bedside, cracking the wood.“Do you fools even realize what this means?!” I roared. There was no response from the guard, only the guard’s shaky breathing.I forced my breathing to calm, though I was still very angry. “Listen carefully. I don’t care what it takes. I want every tracker, every scout, every hunter out there. Find him. Now. If Marco reaches the borders, we are all finished.”“Yes, Alpha!” the guard squeaked.“And one more thing,” I snapped bef

Chapter 76 - Marco’s Escape Marco’s POV The heavy steel doors of the prison van slammed shut with a loud bang. The sound echoed in my ears as two guards pushed me violently.“Move it, traitor,” one of them growled, shoving me onto the hard bench.I fell hard on the hard bench inside the van, gnashing my teeth. The smell of iron, sweat, and wolfbane filled the air. This wasn’t just a ride to prison. This was a ride to hell.I smirked, even with the chains biting into my wrists. “Careful, mutt. Very soon you will regret laying your filthy hands on me.”The second guard sneered, dragging the chains tighter. “Save your threats for the dungeon. Once Alpha Alejandro decrees your fate, you won’t be smiling and threatening anyone anymore, but begging for help.”I leaned back against the cold wall, my eyes glinting. “Oh, I’ll be smiling. You’ll see.” My chains rattled, scraping across the metal floor. My wrists and ankles were bound so tight I could feel the pain of the silver burning into
