Anger surged through me as I walked down the halls. Everyone in sight pretty much scrambled out of my way and all I could hear was Lyra hot on my heels. Other than that blood was pounding in my ears and I felt like I couldn’t even think straight.

I was consumed by the kind of anger I went into battle with. The kind that meant someone had to pay.

“Is my brother okay?” I demanded at the healer I found standing outside Landon’s bedroom.

“He’s okay. Just resting.” He spoke looking nervous. “He’s perfect, actually. Alpha.” The words tumbled out of his mouth. “But - this shouldn’t be possible, he should be d-“

“Keep an eye on him.” I instructed not waiting to hear whatever else he had to say before I kept walking.

I knew the Healer was stunned. Everyone who had been in the forest and witnessed what had happened was freaking stunned.
