Morning struck sooner than they hoped. Suki and Reynard remained silent as they got themselves dressed and packed. They left their temporary accommodation and waited in the centre of the town for Talon to guide them out of the pack. The night was no longer young. In fact, Suki and Reynard had stayed out enjoying the party longer than either of them had planned, to the point where neither of them knew how many hours there were until morning. Arriving at their accommodation, the pair were both mentally exhausted, but physically seemed to be running off the adrenaline of the party. They had no idea how much sleep they would be able to get before having to awaken at a decent hour to ensure they don’t overstay their welcome. At first, Suki felt at a loss for words. It was surreal how similar Hadeon looked and sounded to his brother. She felt almost as intimidated by him as she did around Brendan. Suki’s world became still as the traumas of Brendan’s past began replaying in her mind like a horror movie; the visuals of his home pack and his own brother standing right in front of her made the story that much more vivid than before.
