~DANIEL~

Crystal was surprised as she wasn't expecting me to treat her that way.

"Daniel" she exclaimed, her eyes widening.

"That hurts," she rubbed her arm.

"What was that for? What's the meaning of what you did just now?" I barked at her, my eyes red with anger.

She was scared. I had never gotten this mad at her like this before.

"What do you mean? I did nothing" she denied, standing up from the chair but sat back immediately.

I noticed she did that because she didn't want me to know how scared she was.

"Explain the reporters? How did they know you're here? Why now?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe the news got out somehow that I'm here. You know, I'm a public figure and I got eyes watching me. I don't know how that happened" she lied.

I knew she's lying.

"Crystal!!!" I thundered angrily. My voice echoed in the room and Crystal shifted nervously on her seat.

"I know you. You planned all this. That's why you asked me to see you off and even hug you. Tell

  • Bound by a billionaire    Vacation in Fiji

~JESSICA~“What do you think about us going on a vacation??” Daniel suddenly asked while we're having dinner together. It's the third day after the rain and Daniel has been kind to me, even though he's still holding back.He surprised me by coming home early today just to have dinner with me.Now, he's giving me another surprise by asking me on what I think about us going on a vacation.“You want us to go on a vacation??” I asked.“You didn't answer my question” he replied. “What do you think about going on a vacation with me?? It's just for a week.”“Sounds cool” I replied.Really cool. At least, I'd get to clear my head.I laughed inwardly at that thought. Clearing my head wouldn't be possible since the person making me stress mentally and emotionally is also going on the vacation with me.But still, I needed a change of environment.I needed something new. Something fresh. Maybe we could start all over again.“It seems you're interested in it. That's fine then

  • Bound by a billionaire    Thunderstorms

~DANIEL~I couldn’t focus. Not at all.I sat in my office at the company, the glass walls doing nothing to block out the buzz of work happening around me. My fingers hovered over the keyboard, but the screen remained blank. The words in the reports in front of me made no sense. My new assistant knocked twice to bring in some documents, but I barely heard her. I only nodded absently, eyes staring past her.All I could think about was her. Jessica. The kiss. Her soft lips against mine. The way she clutched my singlet like she was scared I’d vanish. The heat in her gaze. The silent plea in her touch. And then the hurt in her eyes this morning when I walked away.God.I clenched my jaw and pushed the chair back, standing abruptly and pacing the office. I ran my fingers through my hair again, nearly pulling at the roots. That kiss had shaken something loose in me.Something I’d been holding together.I wanted her. But more than that, I felt her.Every breath she too

  • Bound by a billionaire    Don't go please

~DANIEL~The hot water from the shower had done little to wash away the tension in my body. No matter how long I stood under it, I couldn’t drown the memory of her voice echoing in my head:“If you want to know what I sleep in…why don't you come to my room at night to check?”Fuck.I had no business reacting the way I did. But my body didn’t care about logic. It remembered. And remembering her—her scent, her warmth, the way her skin used to melt into mine, was the worst kind of torture.I dried myself off, pulled on a fresh singlet and shorts, then stepped into the hallway. Her room was just after mine, and before I could talk myself out of it, I walked straight to the connecting door in my room. The door wasn’t locked. She never locked it. Or maybe she didn't even know there's a connecting door. And I didn't need to use the main door if I wanted to go into her room.I pushed it open quietly and stepped inside. Then stopped cold. She was in bed, fast asleep.B

  • Bound by a billionaire    In my bed

~DANIEL~I watched her as she took another sip of coffee, her fingers wrapping delicately around the mug. Her robe had slipped slightly down one shoulder, exposing smooth skin I’d once known intimately. It took everything in me not to reach out.Not to pull her into my arms and bury my face in her neck like I used to.But I couldn’t.Not yet. There were things she didn’t know. Things like what really happened between Crystal and I.I was still too ashamed to talk about it. I placed her plate in front of her and sat across the table.“Thanks,” she said softly, twirling her fork in the eggs before taking a bite.I watched her chew. Watched her try not to look up at me. But she did.Again and again. Our eyes kept meeting. Dancing. Daring. The picture of her sleeping on just panties and singlet kept coming to my head.My thoughts were clouded with it.And before I could stop myself, I blurted out.“What do you sleep in at night??”She looked up from her plate imme

  • Bound by a billionaire    A chance?? Maybe

~JESSICA~The door clicked shut behind him, but my heart was still wide open, vulnerable and aching.I stood alone in the nursery, letting the silence soak into my skin. I reached out and touched one of the painted teddy bears on the wall."You're going to love your daddy," I whispered, brushing my fingers over the painted clouds. "Even if he doesn't love me back, you'll always know you're wanted."A soft kick in my belly made me gasp and smile through the tears."See? They heard me," I said with a little laugh, wiping my eyes. For a few more seconds, I just stood there, breathing in the scent of fresh paint, hope, and heartbreak. Then I turned off the light and headed for my room. But as I passed Daniel’s door, I paused.I heard the water running. A shower. I imagined the water sliding down his chest, the way his hair would cling to his face. That strong, brooding face that haunted my thoughts more than I wanted to admit.I remembered his very sexy body a

  • Bound by a billionaire    I love you, Daniel Sutherland

~DANIEL~ I climbed the stairs and followed the scent of fresh paint to the room next to mine. I had just returned from Middlesbrough. I stepped inside the room and stared around in wonder, my heart fit to burst. This was my babies’ nursery."What do you think?"I turned to find Jessica right behind me, dressed in a black jersey dress that fell to her knees and covered the belly and breasts that both seemed to have grown in my absence. It would not be long, I guess, before she would be very obviously pregnant. She looked more beautiful than ever. My busting heart managed to expand some more. For the longest time, none of us spoke. Three days away from her…I had never thought time could drag so much. I had expected to be relieved to my personal space again after everything that happened recently. I had not expected to find the nights empty without her."You did this?" I asked. The walls had been painted the palest yellow and covered with a hand painted
