~JESSICA~

I had prevented myself from bursting into tears at Daniel's leaving just by a thread.

I didn't know why I felt so emotional and almost on the verge of tears.

Maybe because I was scared he might go to Middlesbrough and never come back after Crystal??

Or was it just because of these damn stupid pregnancy hormones that make me feel emotional even at the slightest things?

I didn't realize how much I missed Daniel until I saw him standing at my door again.

I badly wanted to run and hug him but I couldn't.

I didn't want to look desperate and foolish to keep on loving him and caring for him after he clearly made his choice.

Just then I heard the door opening.

My heartbeat skipped for a second.

Was it Daniel coming back to the house?? Did he forget something??

Martins, Daniel's driver that drove him to the airport, walked in with five women behind him. They're all holding traveling bags in their hands.

I blinked. What was happening???

The women stood at the door w

  • Bound by a billionaire    I love you, Daniel Sutherland

~DANIEL~ I climbed the stairs and followed the scent of fresh paint to the room next to mine. I had just returned from Middlesbrough. I stepped inside the room and stared around in wonder, my heart fit to burst. This was my babies’ nursery."What do you think?"I turned to find Jessica right behind me, dressed in a black jersey dress that fell to her knees and covered the belly and breasts that both seemed to have grown in my absence. It would not be long, I guess, before she would be very obviously pregnant. She looked more beautiful than ever. My busting heart managed to expand some more. For the longest time, none of us spoke. Three days away from her…I had never thought time could drag so much. I had expected to be relieved to my personal space again after everything that happened recently. I had not expected to find the nights empty without her."You did this?" I asked. The walls had been painted the palest yellow and covered with a hand painted

  • Bound by a billionaire    There'll be no nannies

~JESSICA~“Was there something between you and Leo??” Daniel asked. The question didn’t surprise me. But the pain in his voice? That did.I set the cup down gently, choosing my words. “He was a friend. Nothing more.”Daniel laughed, cold and bitter. “Right. Because men and women are always just friends, especially when their so-called friend is always around when your husband isn’t.”“We were separated, Daniel,” I snapped. “You cheated. And I left with a contract and silence. Leo was there when you weren’t.”He took a step closer. “So, you needed someone. And he filled the role.”“It wasn’t like that,” I hissed, heat rising to my face. “Leo never touched me. Never tried anything. He respected me, Daniel. Something you didn't do.”His jaw clenched. “So now I’m the villain?”I laughed bitterly. “You’re the man who married a wife on contract and cheated before the ink dried. What should I call you?”He looked like he wanted to yell. Or throw something. Or both.Inst

  • Bound by a billionaire    Fight for her

Leo sat, staring at the message he had sent to Jessica on his phone. He didn't know what to feel or if he's right to feel that way.Jessica's a married woman. He'd always known that but yet he had stupidly and foolishly allowed himself to fall in love with her.She was so easy to love. Such a sweet and kind soul to love. And he couldn't help falling for her.She had raised his hopes up when she told him she sent a text to Daniel asking for a divorce.Leo had thought he'd finally get a chance to be in her life.He was surprised when she told him it was a contract marriage.Who still agreed to that these days??But he had seen the documents in Jessica's room and believed her…. even secretly took pictures of the contract. When he found out that Jessica was pregnant for Daniel, he was heartbroken and devastated. But because of the great love he has for her, he didn't mind being with her all through the journey of her pregnancy. He didn't mind being someone she can rely on.He was ready to

  • Bound by a billionaire    Back to his house

~JESSICA~The car ride was silent. Painfully silent. The only sounds were the hum of the engine, the quiet tapping of Daniel’s fingers against the steering wheel, and my heartbeat thudding heavily in my ears.So many times, I wanted to say something. Anything. But every word felt useless. Every thought…pointless. We finally pulled up in front of the mansion. We arrived at his house in less than an hour. The place was the same. Immaculate. Cold. Silent.Like him.Daniel's house. Now our house again. It looked exactly the same, yet it felt entirely different. As if it knew I was returning not as a guest, not as a wife-in-contract, but as a mother fighting for her children… and maybe, quietly hoping for something more.He killed the engine and got out, walking around to get my bags again without saying a word.I didn’t wait for him to open the door. I got out on my own and followed him.The door swung open, and everything hit me at once. The scent of the wood floors

  • Bound by a billionaire    Contract and fake marriage

~JESSICA~Grace and I heard the sharp, unmistakable voice.“What contract are you talking about?? And what the hell have you done, Jessica??”We both turned back immediately towards the door and we saw Sarah standing there.“Mom!” Grace called in surprise.“Sarah,” I called.“What contract are you talking about??” My stepmom repeated.Grace and I turned to look at each other, then back at Sarah. She walked to the center of the room and stood there.“Explain yourself, Jessica” she demanded.I know that tone. The tone that says she wants nothing but the truth. So I cleared my throat, and started to speak.“My marriage with Daniel was a contract. More like a fake, arranged marriage.”Sarah gasped loudly. “And you hid it from me all these while??”“I'm sorry, mom. I didn't mean to” I apologized.“Tell me why. Tell me why you agreed to such stupid contract” she almost screamed.I didn't reply. I just stared at her like I didn't understand her question.“I'm askin
