Gianni's POV
I finished paying for the things I bought at the supermarket. The black sedan was still outside so I hurriedly dialed Louis' phone number. Louis is my coursemate, friend, and next-door neighbor, and my love interest.I knew the black sedan wasn't going to hurt me but I still needed someone by my side"Why didn't you pick up on time?" I asked over the phone anxiously"Hey, young lady, I was quite busy you know but anyway what's up?" he complained over the phone, I could hear a female voice in the background."Louis, I need you to come and pick me up right away," I said, my voice filled with urgency.Louis sounded surprised at the urgency in my voice."What's wrong? Are you okay?" he asked, concern evident in his tone."I'm being followed by the same sedan and it's parked outside the supermarket right now," I explained, trying to keep my composure, not because I was scared but because my life was falling apart."For real, he was mad to follow a crazy girl" Louis laughed on the other side of the phone."Louis, listen, I'm serious, I am not joking," I explained calmly on the phone."Stay where you are and share your location with me. I'm on my way," he replied, his voice steady and reassuring."Okay." I nodded my head despite the fact he could see me.As I waited for Louis to arrive, my mind raced with various scenarios.Who could be following me, and why, what does this person want?Minutes later, Louis's car pulled up, and I quickly hopped in, grateful for his timely arrival. I relayed my concerns about the black sedan, and we both kept a close eye on it as we drove away."Don't you think it's high time I get you security?" Louis asked about feelings concerned."I'm okay don't worry," I forced a smile on my face."What are your plans for the anniversary?" Louis changed the topic and I felt grateful for it."Just watch TV with you all and eat, that will be enough and I lost one of my jobs today" I stared into the stars trying to hold the tears threatening to fall from my eyes, I felt Louis' hands give me a light squeeze."Ok then we will figure it out tomorrow but first let's deal with today," Louis smiled and I returned it.When we arrived at my apartment, I opened the door and was greeted by Luna arranging the dining table.I dropped my bags on the chair and went to check what Luna was setting on the table while Louis sat on the couch and Luna hugged me."Haven't seen you in a long time," Louis threw the cushion at Luna and she caught and threw it back."You know where I live so what was stopping you?" Luna raised her eyebrows while I opened the dishes one by one and I must say they all look nice."Medical school, I'm sure you wouldn't get that since you are studying literature," a smirk appeared on Louis's face."Law not literature you dimwit," Luna sneered and playful smacked Louis on his head."Where is Arabella?" I hadn't heard her voice since I got back so I felt concerned."I'm here," Arabella said when she entered the living room."How is my pumpkin doing? How were your dance lessons today?" Louis greeted Arabella, she hugged him, and sat beside him.Louis paid for Arabella's dance lessons recently and I'm grateful for that but I can't continue to accept things from him if I want our relationship to take a step forward."I'm fine but why are you here and how come both you and Gianni arrived together?" A curious Arabella asked."Hmmmm, your sister was scared and called me to pick her up," Louis pointed at me and made a funny face making everyone laugh."Let's have dinner first then we can play games then Gianni can tell us stories about Mom and Dad," Arabella suggested while avoiding eye contact with me."Sounds nice," I nodded my head and a small smile played on my lips.*****"Arabella next time make the food, Luna doesn't know how to cook," Louis pretended to gag."What's wrong now?" Luna dropped her spoon."Too much salt," Louis used his hands to fan himself, Louis enjoys playing around with Luna."Are you okay?" Luna asked and everyone's attention fell on me awaiting an answer.I contemplated telling everyone what was on my mind but I didn't want to spoil it on this day and just in time my phone beeped and it was a message."I have to leave, I have work to do," I cleaned my mouth and stood up from the dining table."Where are you off to at this time of the night?" Louis asked concern written all over his face."Professor Lisa asked me to babysit for her son tonight," I explained to everyone.Professor Lisa is one of my lecturers in school, she holds a very high position, when she came to know of my financial situation she offered to help by paying me for my babysitting her grandchildren."Now?" Luna raised her eyebrows."I will be back by tomorrow in time for class," I assured and was about to leave when Arabella stopped me."Again, are you going to leave on this day just for money?" Arabella balled her hands into a fist."Arabella please, you have to understand," I pleaded with my eyes."That what? This is the only way we can feel closer to our parents and you," Arabella questioned and I could see hatred in her eyes for me."Arabella let your sister go," Louis instructed and Arabella kept quiet, like she always listens to Louis, "if you need me to pick you up let me know," Louis added.I rushed to my room to arrange the things I would be needing when a necklace fell out of my wardrobe, I picked it up from the floor and held it tight in my hands as tears rolled down my cheeks. This was the necklace of the person who murdered my family in cold blood, I was going to find and destroy that person.I quickly threw the necklace inside the wardrobe when I heard the door to my room open."Are you okay?" Luna asked and entered the room."Yes, yes I am," I shut the wardrobe, "Arabella hates me right?" I tucked my hair behind my ears."I don't think she does, I feel she is just angry at everything you are going through for a person she barely knows," Luna tried to make me understand."I understand, can you take care of her while I'm gone tonight and make our parents' anniversary a memorable one?" I took Luna's hands in mine."Sure, I and Louis would," Luna smiled."Thanks, I trust you, you know right," I packed up my bag to leave."Have you decided to cut his, I mean your brother's life support before the next payment date?" Luna asked me a question even I didn't want to ask myself and I bit the inside of my mouth and closed my eyes shut."I will see you later," I said without turning back to look at her.Gianni's POVMy head snapped towards Zion when I heard the name “Sheila” It felt like my world had stopped. How did he know that name? “Zion!” Luna screamed at the top of her lungs, she looked terrified, I followed her eyes and my attention fell on the heart monitor which was showing a thin line.“Zi…Zion,” I screamed as Luna held me in her arms. My heart raced with fear. I was a medical student, but right now, I didn't have the courage to help him.“It's cardiac arrest; I will get the doctor,” Louis ran out to get the doctor, and Damian jumped on the bed and started giving Zion CPR.I couldn't dare look, I was scared, what type of test is that? Zion was perfectly fine then what went wrong?I opened my eyes when I heard the heart monitor turn on and I let out a breath of relief.“Thank you doctor Damian,” one of the doctors said and did a checkup on Zion.“Damian is a doctor?” Luna asked and I nodded my head.“Doctor, what happened?” I wanted to know the situation.“Mr Zion was a bit
Gianni's POV“You seemed troubled,” Louis handed me an ice cream and I took it from his hand.“Didn't that woman look familiar?” I questioned as I licked the ice cream.“That woman? She looked like Sheila,” Louis licked his ice cream and he didn't seem interested in the conversation.“You could tell too,” I snapped my finger in his face, bringing his attention to the conversation.“Yes, I feel like she is trouble, but I don't know how,” Louis turned to face me, “Stay away from her; I don't trust anyone who looks like that woman, Sheila.”So I wasn't the only one who felt a storm was coming.“Let me drop you off at home,” Louis opened the door and I entered the car, “Like the old days,” he smiled as he turned on a Niall Horan song. The drive to my house was quiet. I don't know why Louis was quiet, as he was usually talkative, but I was trying to make sure that the woman and Damian didn't cross paths.“You should let go, I will make sure my family works her transfer before the end of th
Gianni's POV “You…you let him in?!!” Professor Lisa yelled. “He locked the main door so I can't get in,” Landon answered as his gaze was still lowered. “Have someone take Selena and Francis to their room and get me the keys to the torture room,” Professor said as she paced the room. I could tell she was scared. I knew the word torture room didn't sit right but how bad could it be? “Mrs. Lisa, the door is locked from the inside; that's why I'm unable to do anything,” Landon answered. “Do I have to tell you everything? Break the door before I get there,” I stood up to follow Professor Lisa, “I don't think it's right for you to go there.” “Heaven knows who he is torturing right now,” Professor Lisa muttered under her breath, but I heard it. “What if he is torturing himself?” Luna chipped in, and Professor Lisa's face turned pale. Professor Lisa ran out of the living room and we followed behind her. I was scared as they were trying to break the door. What if he hurt hims
Gianni's POVI played with Damian's hair while he was sleeping, he looked peaceful. I didn't go to sleep out of excitement. I don't even know why I was excited, but since Damian fell asleep, everything kept replaying in my head, and it made me blush.“Good morning,” I said with a shy smile on my face when Damian opened his eyes.I was expecting him to smile or something but he didn't, his eyes fell on the clothes which were on the floor, he looked around the room till his eyes fell on me. “Are you okay?” he moved when I was about to touch him and my hand paused mid air.He looked at me with disgust and anger, “Damnit,” he stood up from the bed, picked his clothes from the floor, wore them, and walked out of the room. What was wrong with him? Why the fuck did he react like that?I felt hurt, but I tried to ignore the situation. I entered the bathroom to freshen up, and when I came out, I met Damian, arranging his things back into his luggage.“Where are you going?” I asked calmly. I d
Gianni's POVI stood Frozen waiting for Damian to say anything, “Is there a problem?” I let out a breath of relief when Damian asked.Thank goodness, he didn't hear the voice. Landon's eyes fell on me, and I could tell he heard the voice, “Nothing, sir, I thought Mrs Salvatore had called me.”“Well, she didn't,” Damian looked at his watch, “Please wait right here with Gianni. I want to use the restroom,” Damian instructed and left us.“Why did you stop?” I asked Landon who looked disrupted while searching for someone with his eyes.“Huh?” Landon raised his eyebrows, “I heard someone's voice I shouldn't have heard, my mind is playing tricks on me.”“Sheila's voice?” I asked.“Yes, that,” Landon paused, “You have never heard her speak, so how did you know it was her voice.”“Now do you understand that I actually saw someone who looks and sounds like Damian's ex wife?” At least someone knows it too.“We must have heard wrong,” Landon said, it felt like he was trying to convince himself,
Gianni's POV“Why are you here?” I asked as I strolled through the Vaitape village market. It was a beautiful place; there was jewelry, clothes, and so many other beautiful shops.“Last night, I asked you not to bring up Sheila's name with Damian, then why did you do it?” Landon asked from behind me.“Did he tell you?” I tried an earring on, “Does it fit me?”Landon nodded his head, “No, he didn't but his reaction gave away the conversation.”“I will take this,” I smiled at the seller and paid.“You shouldn't have,” Landon muttered.“He is my husband and I have the right to talk to him about anything I want to,” I said calmly, trying not to bring any attention to us.“I told you you shouldn't have that conversation with him; then why did you do it?” I stopped when Landon questioned furiously.“Excuse me?” I was surprised, why the fuck was he angry?“Gianni, you don't know what it means to lose a loved one in front of your eyes; you don't know the feelings of opening old wounds. I plea
