Davina's Point Of View
It had been a crappy long day. I slid a jacket on, remembering how my day went from the violent buzzing of the alarm clock to the attack made by those lunatics; I cursed at the loan sharks, and then a sweet feeling hit me as I stopped on my track. That gaze from the cafe. At least something good came out of this rugged day. I continued walking as my skin was still affected by the heavy gaze he threw from across his table in the cafe, yet it gave me an uncomfortable chill down my spine. I moved a little faster as a lingering shadow lurked behind me, and my heart began pounding heavily against my chest. “Could they have found me?” I whispered silently under my breath, taking a turn, moving as fast as my legs could go. I watched as they moved past me; they looked familiar, but I was too worried to care. “The last thing I need was more fucking complications in my life.” I took another exit from where I hid, going in the opposite direction when I froze. They were right in front of me, my stalkers. Before I could touch my wrist where my bracelet hung loosely, I was zapped, falling to the floor when I was caught by one of them; the only thing that swallowed my eyes was a blurry vision of my abductors. 1-2-3,1-2-3,1-2-3 Slowly, I jerked my eyes open. Still feeling somewhat dizzy from the zapping, I managed to get the aching pieces of my mind together as I pulled myself up. My eyes widened when I saw where I found myself. A room; I looked around and finally realized I was on a bed; immediately, my senses returned to normal. It was a well-structured room, massive to be exact, with a soft perfume that lit up around the room, allowing just a glint of sun rays. I hurried to the door, trying to get it opened but it was locked. Stupid door. I looked around the room for something, anything that could be used as a weapon. Then the echoes from the hallway became closer as I reached down to my wrist and pulled out my bracelet, something I should have done years ago. I wasn't going to just attack, at least not yet. My kidnappers hadn't exactly done anything. Looking at my clothes to my body, I let out a relieved sigh. I placed a hand on the doorknob and silently chanted a few words. Then the door twitched open. I haven't practiced for years now, but again, I wasn't rusty. I walked towards where the violent voices came from. "Seriously, a human." A voice hissed in disgust as I moved into the room where three figures stood in shock upon seeing me. I recognized immediately the one in the middle tailing him to the cafe gazer. "Luna, you are supposed to be in your room" I heard one say, moving closer to me as if to take me away before I will be eaten by the devouring eyes of the middle guy. Ignoring his words, my eyes held his stare. I could swear I saw his eyes change from a streaking yellow to red, then to an Amber, which also held mine. Something felt strange; I couldn't describe it, but when I decided to say something, only one word came out. “Gorgeous Seriously!” I spanked myself subconsciously. "Where am I ?" I asked, still looking straight at him. "And more importantly, why did you hoodlums kidnap me?" "Well-" The other began to clear out his throat after seconds of silence. "I'm Mitch, and this is Carter..." straining his head sideways, somewhat asking the other fellow for help. "We are sorry for the little discomfort we put you through while coming here but believe us we don't mean harm," "Little discomfort? I got fucking zapped" My head hurts as hell. I heard a light chuckle coming from him. Irritating. Was he laughing at me? "And what? Is he usually dumb, or does he just like staring till he burns holes in a face," My head tilted a little, and my bitchy hat was on. A low growl erupted in the room. "That's enough, I've had it with that bratty attitude of yours. You are in my house and need I say I demand respect,” "What kind of criminal deserves respect after kidnapping and need I say..." I said using the same damn tone he used on me. "You are an arrogant asshole." And with that I found myself being flung to the wall by this maniac, gasping oddly for air as he was being dragged away from me. "Alpha, relax," Mitch said slowly, dragging him out the door as Carter helped me to sit properly on a chair. "Lunatic" I managed to say loudly enough so he could hear me. After what seemed like forever he came back into the room with his best attitude and a relaxed nerve. "Let's start all over." He settled in the chair opposite mine. "My name is Cameron Donnelly. This is Mitch and Carter as you already know and you are in my house" That's all. Seriously, this guy is something. I tried introducing myself but was cut off abruptly. "I know who you are, Miss Pierce. Davina Pierce lives at a condo beside Avenue Park, studied Event management, works morning and afternoon at Haven's cafe and 22." 'What the hell?' My inner thought yelled. How does he know so much? Do I owe him or something? I looked intently at him for some facial recognition. Nothing, even if I did owe him I wouldn't know. "Looks like someone did some research. Only you are missing the part, “What the hell am I doing here?" My turn to speak. Ignoring my question he continued. "I see, Miss Pierce, that you are rather fond of borrowing, a hobby you are quite accustomed to." An annoying smirk grew across his lips. "You took more shifts to pay off your debts, but you and I know that is not happening, seeing how many people you owe." "Okay. Chameleon-" I was cut off. "It's Cameron." He snapped back. "Not that I care," I say. "How does my personal life and hobby seem to interest you?" "I can pay off your debts to the last penny." Again, ignoring my question, I got more interested when he mentioned the paying part. "Elaborate" "See, every dime you owe, I'll repay it for you but on one condition." Seriously, what now does he want to say? "You work for me" He wants me to work for him. "Wow...isn't it amazing how you kidnap someone just so you can offer a job proposal?" I said as he threw the two, standing with an angry look. "So what, you want me in on your gang of kidnappers or your junky buddies or some-" He bit in. "No, I want you to work here at the house, as an event planner. This year, we will be organizing several events. And you'll be living here as well." I'd be damned to say NO. Was he being for real? I just worked here as an event planner, and I was free. I began to imagine life without those loan sharks. It would be great. "For how long?" I looked at him, caring to be interested in the time when, after the debts had been paid and I was bored as hell in here, I could leave without them having the power to stop me or even locate me. "For a while." He looked at Carter and Mitch, who let out a disapproving look. "Just a while?" I cut at his words. "Seriously, you have to be more specific. I need to know for how long?" "Miss Pierce, the debt you owe isn't exactly one that can be worked off easily" He drew in a breath. "If you agree to this, here is the contract" I huffed as he dashed a handful of papers on the table. "Why me? And what's the special reason you want me to stay, cause it pretty clear there's more to your offer" "All you need to know is you need me more than I need you" He shot back his irritating look. Gosh, if I didn't need this so bad I would have given him a taste of his own medicine. My imagination began to wander far to the look on his face when I went back on my words and fled after my debt had been paid. My inner thought gave out the most devious laugh it could conjure. I took the pen that he held out, drawing the paper closer as I flipped to where my signature was needed. "You are not going through it?" He asked. "No need" I continued, giving the paper a stroke with the pen. And I was done. "Then I guess it's a deal," He said as I nodded in agreement, turning to see the two standing beaming with joy that could explode the whole place. "I'll send a copy to you tomorrow morning." He brought out his hands, which I took as a sign of agreement when tingles ran down my hand, sending waves of sparks to my entire body. He jerked back, shooting my looks with an unreadable expression. Perhaps did he feel it, too?Third person's point of view Ten years later It's been ten year since the eldest child of Cameron and Davina was stolen. It's also been ten years since the war, and the attacks and massacres on Packs and Covens have been reduced. The remaining Vampire Kings ensured peace by enacting rules in their kingdoms and on their vampires to keep serenity and most importantly to ensure the safety of humans. During this ten years, Alpha Cameron helped other Packs get back on their feet. Those Packs that was affected by Darwin's attacks were rebuilt and Packs whose Alpha and family died were succeeded by their Betas. Alpha Cameron also helped several Packs and Covens with finances, trainings and infrastructures. He ensured none was lacking. The magical world remained nothing but midnight stories and fantasies to the human world. The Crescent Moon's Pack expanded it's borders and gained more territorial lands. Four more mansions were built few distance from each
Cameron's point of view The war was over. We attained victory. Darwin and his armies lifeless bodies were scattered in our territory, and also that of Rowena and her witches, even the pathetic traitor, Alpha Henry was killed during the war. Mitch's words rang in my head, but I couldn't even be ecstatic. I couldn't be happy for our victory even if I wanted to. Atleast not right now. Not when my mate is in that state. Luckily, the Elders and Alpha Dimitri were still around, they were kind enough to take care of things in my absence. It's been exactly an hour since Rhona and the Pack's head doctor asked me out of the room to tend to my mate and there's still no word. The Pack is well aware of their Luna's condition, they've been making prayers to whosoever is up there for my mate and pup recovery. I was still sitting in front of the infirmary door where my mate was being looked after when I picked up a chaotic stir in the air, followed by fast heartbeats. Without thinking twic
Davina's point of view I breathed in calmly. I was near the clearing field where we waited for Rowena. I could hear the swift movements of the enemy armies. They kept drawing closer and closer. I closed my eyes, breathing in the nature's magic coming from the earth, the air and the blood moon hanging up. The fast movements of Darwin's armies drummed my ears as I could feel their stench in my nose. They were almost onto me. I knew it was time. I pulled my hands mid-air, my fingers dancing, swaying to the rhythm of the concentrated magic around me. And in an instant, I snapped my hands watching the armies in sight drop dead on the ground from the snapping of their necks. I smiled, turning to the south of where I stood. I did the same when the enemy armies were in sight. I had positioned at the north direction, when an overpowering wave of magic ran through me. It caused me to loose my balance and stumble on the bloody dirt on th
Rhona's point of view We all stared blankly at the night's darkness, gazing up at the sky. It was a full Moon already, soon it'll become a blood moon due to the Lunar eclipse. A thundering growl echoed. It was Alpha Cameron. It was meant to inform everyone the war is almost at our door. I turned to the witches, nodding at them, everyone knew exactly what to do. Those who weren't fighting in the war had made their way to the underground bunkers and it has been concealed to protect them. I gazed at the sky once more, then a gentle but fierce wind blew to the point it shook me. I gazed around when the Luna met with me. "The wind was blowing from the northeast. This isn't good. Something big is coming our way. A storm that will destroy us all" There was a shivering in my bones. "What is it? You don't mean the war, do you?" She questioned. I wish I could tell her more.
Cameron's point of view My hands rested firmly on the railings of the second floor. We were at the mansion. Even from a mile away, one could feel the vibrations from the Packhouse and around the territory. I curled my lips into a smile, it was nice seeing so many people from different supernatural root in one place, united. I loved the view from up here. Suddenly a sick shiver ran down my spine and Vittorio felt it more. I exhaled, exhausted. It was hard being optimistic, shouldering so many burden while still giving hope. Truthfully,I was worried about the war. It was the last day already, and in few more hours we will battle for our lives and existence. I couldn't help but be worried. This was Rowena we were talking about, she has been preparing for this moment almost her entire life and I'm worried. I feel something terrible was going to happen, even though we were prepared for this war. Suddenly
Cameron's point of view I sipped from the cup of coffee on my table. My bloodshot red eyes kept going through some of the Company's business files Travis emailed over that needed my attention. After I was done I looked into the Pack's business I need to attend to under the Pack's name. Like the Pack's high school which needed a new curriculum, I also needed to visit the new Pack's hospital that has just been constructed. I was done signing the cheques needed for the Pack's finances. I stretched out from my seat, looking deep into the forest. Vittorio have been itching for a run, and temptingly that sounded nice. I rubbed my chin, decisively. It was pitch dark outside but I could still hear the loud noises coming from outside the mansion walls. The clashing of metals, howling of wolves, even the smell of the sweat. It's been four days already, and so far so good we've began training for the war
