Cameron's point of view
I retreated my steps back to the pack house, perceiving the sweet scent that filled the air around me, settling at the tip of my tongue. I felt a stir in my body, suddenly I felt hungry and thirsty for blood. Mitch spoke to me through the mindlink.
'Where should I keep him?'
'For now at the pack house, heavily guarded too. I need to speak with the witches and the officials.'
I reached my room in a haste, taking off my blood mess shirt.
"Cam. Wait" My mate called, stepping in. Her blue crystal staring at me or rather my exposed bare skin.
I repressed a naughty chortle in my throat.
I turned to her. Inhaling deeply, the sweet scent swam into my nostrils. Them her scent was so strong and tempting too.
"I don't trust him, Davi." I covered myself up, letting her recover from her wonder. Sh
Cameron's point of view The instant I stepped into the mansion her scent was everywhere. The intense stabbing hunger ate through my insides. I rushed quickly to my office, shutting the door close. "I felt it...Your growls" Rhona was seated, waiting for me. Her eyes widened when she met mine. "You don't look good. What's happened?" I exhaled taking my seat. I explained to her, everything I've been feeling and my need for my very own mate's blood. Rhona inhaled after hearing me silently. "You can't cheat nature Cameron. If you want to feed from your mate, then do it. It's nature and you are a Vampire. One thing you should know is you'll never hurt her." I knew it. Somewhere deep down I knew this will be Rhona's own thoughts, just like Carter and Mitch. And I understood it all. But I guess what scares me more is not being able to sto
Benjamin's point of viewI was seated on the couch at her bedside watching her sleep. She looked peaceful and much less of a troublesome little witch. I smiled at her sleepy position, under the soft mattress. It was barely dawn already. I couldn't sleep as usual, I never sleep, so I came here, at least it's more fascinating watching her sleep. Then she started turning on the bed, her sleepy eyes slightly opened. "Rise and shine!" I chimed from a corner. "I'll rise but I refuse to shine" She sprouted. Damn she hasn't changed a bit. Suddenly she jolted up from the bed. Her deep ocean eyes falling on me. "Benjie? What on earth are you doing here?" She asked overly surprised. "Couldn't sleep"Her sigh was long and deep. "Still having nightmares?" Her wo
Benjamin's point of view I tried again but I couldn't bring the stupid spell down. The stupid dungeon was built to keep magic out, so I'm stuck in here without any power of mine. It was frustrating, Davina could no doubt be with the traitor witch alone. I'm so certain her plan is to take Davina out of here. I can't let that, but I'm trapped. "So you are telling me, you got tricked to come here by someone who had my face, and could at this second be with our Luna!" The shewolf exclaimed, for the umpteenth time, repeating her exact words. Goodness! How does Davina stand her? She's a non-stop parrot. "Holy smokes! We have to get out of here?" She shouted, as if just doing the math. I couldn't stop the angered stare I sent her way. What on earth did she think I've been doing all this while? The shewolf tried getting past bu
Davina's point of view Strange and wierd. For hours now we've been confined inside the corner walls of the pack Attic, reviewing my mother's journal. The last piece of her research and findings regarding the curse Gretchen placed on Cameron's pack, the Crescent Moon Pack. I've successfully translated some of the writings in the Amnell ancestral language. But here comes the wierd part, most of the remaining pages contains foreign signs and symbols, and a scroll looking like some kind of map with a compass attached to it. "It's a map!" Rhona uttered from the end of the table, as we all were studying the map spread out on the high table. It was indeed confusing with all sort of ancient symbols drawn on it, representing something each. "These are ancient symbols representing ancient witch Coven clans." Rhona pulled the map to her, letting her fingers trail over. "This symbol, i
Davina's point of view I stretched on the soft bed, wiping off my sleepy eyes. It's dawn already. I smiled seeing Cameron silently sleeping soundly beside me. His head resting on the crook of my neck. The line on my lips widened. I couldn't deny it, I love waking up next to him. I remained stationed on the bed, just watching him sleep. It's pretty fascinating. And I dare say this Alpha indubitably looks handsome while sleeping. Involuntary, my fingers moved, resting on his black rich hair. I started stroking it gently. Cameron shifted a little. Damn, I must have woken him up. Before I knew it, he grabbed me, pulling me closer to his chest. I heard the loud jumping of my heart in my chest. My face was pulled to his. I couldn't stop myself from gazing deep into his double lid eyes. His full black b
Davina a point of view I stepped through the illusive rocky walls that stood in front of us. My eyes wandered around the smoky fog that covered the atmosphere, preventing a clear sight of anything. "Veculum Cenriela" I chanted and the smoky fog begun to fade away. As soon as it did another round of horrifying shock grazed the white of my eyes. I could have been prepared for anything but not the sight I was greeted with. There was flaming fire around, smoke stalking the air exposing the unpleasant smell of burnt human flesh. My legs weakened instantly, my eyes slowly twitching around the lifeless body scattered around in the pool of their own blood while some were caught up in flames along with some houses. "What the fuck!" Cole blurted from behind, his clear brown orbs holding similar shocked gaze as everyone of us. "Fuck!
Davina's point of view I fell completely silent. Holding a little shock in my gaze. "You knew my mother?" She caressed a smile. "I knew your mother mother's ancestors." Bloody fuck! This woman--khalia is definitely way older than she looks in her somewhat fifties. "Can you help us?" Esther asked the woman. "Of course I can and I will. That's precisely why my people had to do the needful to ensure I survived. Someone had to, inorder to help you." Rhona poured in glass of water and handed it to her. "Thank you Rhona" Khalia drank from it. "Mother found a way to break Gretchen curse right?" I asked Khalia. She nodded. "We all helped her" "By we, you mean...." Esther came at her side. "Yes. I mean all five of us." Khalia said.
Cameron's point of view I entered the office with the Five Elders. I took my seat and so did they. I can't deny it the little fear embedded in me. I know these Elders, they do not show up until when necessary. And deep down I have a nagging reason why they are here. But I just hope I'm wrong, because she's not ready yet. "Alpha" Ethan pulled me out of my thoughts. "Sorry, I was just thinking of something" I shuffled on my seat, giving my full attention to them. "You know why we are here don't you?" Elder Jake, always straight to the point as usual. "No." I stated, playing dumb and hoping it's for a different reason. "This matter couldn't wait any more. We are here because of the Luna" Elder Alex started. I exhaled tiredly. My guess was right. They are here for Davina. I've been expecting them, but I didn't know it'd be this soon. "And what ab
