Chapter 56
SJ picked up the document that he is reading inside his room in his apartment late in the evening when he arrived home from Le Bernardin. His secretary messaged him that she was finally able to gather all the documents that he was asking yesterday and had it sent to his apartment.
Carmela had called him hours ago and asked him to come over, but he declined and abruptly ended the call. It was the first time that he did that ever since they started going out and he didn’t feel any remorse on his action. She knew that he was out of his friends but didn’t join them even if SJ had asked her to. He knew that she doesn’t get along with them well. His friends had never liked her ever since they started going out.
But he was glad tonight that she did not because he had no idea that Ronald will be bringing Elli with him as his date. He suspected that Florence had something to do it but didn’t point it out.
