SJ went back to the living room, undoing the top two buttons of his shirt and sat down. He massaged the back of his neck lightly to ease some tension. After admitting to himself that he is in love with Elli, the thought of losing her worries him.
“So, what are we looking at?” He finally asked. “What’s your take, Nigel?”
“The most obvious is now that your marriage to her is consider illegal since she was just seventeen,” Nigel answered seriously. “Unless there’s consent from the mother but it’s highly doubtful since she died when Elli was just ten. If Mike Porter was able to attain guardianship thru court order, then it’s easier to deal with. Elliot Grande will still contest it though. He might even allege that he kidnapped his wife and daughter.”
