"We were friends while I was still in Moonspell pack," Thomas says before I can speak.

I sigh with relief, utterly aware of Maximilian's gaze on me.

Friends? I'm pretty sure friends don't do the things we did, and the memory of those evenings threaten to make me blush.

"I lived close to their countryside estate. Helena would spend her summers there. And when I turned 17, I moved to the city to become Alpha Conrad's driver. You know all this..."
