Chapter 4: Her Powerful Savior

As I opened my eyes, I found out that my hands and my legs were already tied with a leash. I tried to recall what happened and it was just quick when I suddenly heard some noises. Eyes widened when I found out that I was already facing all the werewolves where Alexander came from. My family were there as well and there is no hint of remorse from their faces. Perhaps, they look pleased to see me here. 

“Please, let me go.”

I tried moving my body hoping that I could still escape but my leash was made from metals. There's short hope that I could still escape death. I have not accepted my fate that I am going to die in their hands and for the crime I know to myself that I've never done. No one stood by me to defend me. I just have myself now and I'm even giving up now.

The entire wolves of this pack were screaming the same words. As I heard those words, tears kept falling down. My situation was hard because no one believes in me. No one tried to see if I was really the one who killed Alexander. I don't know what proves to them that I made it but whatever it is, there's nothing I can do about it.

“Kill her!”

“Burn her!”

“She doesn't deserve to live!”

“That woman killed Alpha Alexander!”

“Death sentence for her!?”

I've tried not to mind what they say because everything I relay to the Moon Goddess. She knows what really happened. I didn't kill Alexander but if I die today, at least I didn't admit their accusations. I will die with my clean conscience.

“Any last words before dying?”

My head turned at the man who asked that. A forceful smile formed on my lips, tears still covering my eyes. I looked at my parents who are just so chill while watching me suffer.

“Mom, Dad, I understand that both of you were doing this because of the pack. If I die today, always remember that I am willing to forgive the two of you. And to you, sister… No worries, I am not mad with you. Take good care of our parents.”

Fresh tears kept falling to my eyes, especially when I closed it. I have already stated my last words towards my parents and they aren't deaf for not being able to hear it.

“And for the last time, I want everyone to know that I am not Alexander's killer. There's someone who killed him to accuse me and whoever you are, only the Moon Goddess knew about it. I trusted everything to her now. So, kill me.”

Right after I uttered that, I opened my eyes to see how they would kill my life. I was waiting for them to end my life and the pack guards were now preparing to end me. Alexander's parents made a signal for the pack guards to end my life, so I did prepare myself. My heart pounded so fast while waiting for my eyes to turn black.

They are so close to cutting the tie that my life depends on when we hear a man's voice coming from the crowd.

“We object to the killing of Zenaida Sandoval. My Alpha brought something in exchange for her life. Something that no one can ever decline because this is useful and enough to make your pack rich.”

My mouth widened when I heard those words from the man I don't even know. There was a group of wolves standing in front of us. The one in the middle said those words. Alexander's parents turned their heads to them and everyone seemed to be in silence because they couldn't believe what just happened.

“Who are you?”

A man from the unknown group tilted his head from my father's question. He looked at me and it seemed like my world had stopped moving. The event that was happening now doesn't want to sink in yet. 

“I am Beta Stephen and I am here upon my Alpha's request to get that girl in exchange for money.” 

My mouth widened while the rest gasped from the man's braveness to say those words. As time went by, I started to realize who they came for. I didn't know each one of them, especially the Alpha that this beta was talking about but I can't stop crying out of happiness. It doesn't matter to me about their identity because what matters is the fact that they are after me.

“Did you know what this girl did? She killed an Alpha and it is impossible that you can still save her. She was about to die and no one could stop that!”

My sister Zyaire never felt ashamed of screaming those words to everyone. I know she wants me dead and I can't take that away from her. She hated me so badly.

“My daughter is right. This is a pack's hearing. No one from the unknown pack is allowed to interfere unless you want a fight.”

It was my dad and it's just so painful that they have tried to stop those who wanted to help me. This could only mean that they didn't want me alive.

“We know what happened, that is why we are here to offer a big amount of money in exchange for Zenaida Sandoval. This is a very rare offer. No one would ever spend a lot of money just for a criminal like her. My Alpha has interest in her and he's willing to do everything to get her. I will give this money and you will give the girl to me.”

The beta negotiated with them. I looked at Alexander's parents and their stare at the five boxes that this newcomer group was holding were an indication that they might have taken the offer. I was glad that they did at the end and my family couldn't do anything about it.

“We will take the offer. Take Zenaida and give it to them.”

My heart was overjoyed after I escaped from the leash that they put me on. On the other hand, Beta Stephen and his other allies give the money towards Alexander's parents while I am on the way to their direction when Zyaire stopped me by grabbing my wrist. 

“You think you can escape death?”

Her aura is so dark. I know how mad she is now but I will not allow her to hurt me. 

“Just accept the fact that I am free now. Someone saved me and there's nothing you can do about it, Zyaire.”

She tightened her grip and made me grit my teeth.

“Whoever your powerful savior is, he would only use you. You will still suffer and for the rest of your life. I will guarantee that to you!”

Zyaire is too much. She can't be happy with me because she doesn't love me as her sister. I've been nice to her but she's making me angry. I slapped her and she was about to slap me back when someone caught her hand.

“You wouldn't like it if my Alpha knew you hurt her.”

It was Beta Stephen who stopped Zyaire and my sister couldn't do anything but to step back away from us. The group took me out of Alexander's place. I left with them with no hesitation and it's weird because I don't feel any hint of worries while leaving with them. Instead, I felt happy because someone got interested in me and I can't wait to know my savior. I can't wait to see his face.

“Beta Stephen, can you tell me about the Alpha who saved me?”

The beta turned his head at me, a smirk suddenly formed to his lips as he replied back. 

“Don't worry, your savior is just powerful and he can do everything he wants. You're one of his proof that money can make everything possible.” 

I gulped in disbelief from what I heard.
