Natalia Morozova

The clink of expensive crystal glasses and the hum of low conversations filled the air, but I heard none of it, i don't care about any of that, my focus was only on the man sitting at table seven.

Mikhail Volkov the Bratva pakhan I have been tracking for two months, and finally today I have the chance to get close to him... Not that close but close enough to gather some information. Mikhail is tall broad, and even from afar his presence alone is radiating danger.

I adjusted the black apron tied around my waist, taking in a deep breath and forcing my grip to relax on the silver tray even though my hands were trembling... Not with fear but with anger. My cover tonight was simple, i was wearing a shoulder length blonde wig, with some faint freckles painted across my nose, and a cheap vanilla perfume.

That way no one would guess that under the polyester waitress uniform and plastered on smile was Detective Natalia Morozova, from the federal undercover.

But here, I wasn’t Natalia I was Alina Sokolov, an overworked waitress at Dmitri’s, the city’s most exclusive and expensive Russian restaurant this is the kind of place where one bottle of vodka cost more than my monthly rent, and where every guest here is from a high profile and rich family.

I started walking towards table seven to deliver they orders but as I moved closer to table seven, my heart beat was increasing, I can't fuck up tonight this might be my only chance to get this close to him.

There were two guards standing around the table, wearing black suits, there were obviously armed, when he walked in here I was surprised to see the pakhan with only two guards, but I guessed he doesn't want to grab alot of people's attention?

My eyes landed on mikhail but his gaze… his gaze was locked on the man seated across him, a nervous looking Italian in an expensive suit.

I slowly placed the glasses of whiskey on the table, careful not to spill a drop, with my perfectly practiced smile I said “Your drinks gentlemen"

Mikhail’s guards barely glanced at me, and mikhail didn’t even look at me...at least, not directly, his gaze and entire attention was on the Italian who was sweating, but I felt a faint sweep of his attention as I set the glasses down.

I stepped back, lingering at a nearby table pretending to be wiping it, I angled my body so I looked busy while my ears tuned in. I can't believe my brothers murderer is this close and I can't do anything, my heart stung as I continued wiping the table.

“Five million by Friday,” the Italian murmured his voice cracking “Cash”

A pause then his deep, low and dangerous voice came“You think money fixes betrayal?” the Italian flinched, his grip tightening on the glass of vodka he was holding “It's not betrayal pakhan It’s… a misunderstanding.”

“You gave my shipment route to orlov men.” Mikhail’s words were barely heard but were sharp and radiating danger “That is not a misunderstanding that is suicide.”

I pretended to straighten a salt shaker my heart beat increasing with each passing second. This was bigger than I expected if this is about the shipment routes, it could connect to the illegal arms deal from last month, it was also the bratva that carried out that deal, so this case also might be connected to that.

The Italian licked his lips "My family.....”

“Will live" Mikhail said, sipping from his cup of vodka “ your family will leave, you know the code... But I might break that code if you don'r give me something better than your lies”

The table went silent even the background murmur of the restaurant seemed to die down, suddenly it feels like everyone in the restaurant were holding their breath.

I leaned in a little, wanting to catch every word this might be it, I might get the locations and names of people involved in the drug trafficking, a lot of innocent people had lost their lives because of this.

The Italian’s voice dropped, his accent thickening a bit“I can give you names pakhan, i can give you name of people higher than Orlov”

I was waiting for Mikhail to speak waiting foe him to give the italian a go ahead, but he didn't say anything not a word the restaurant suddenly went silent again then his chair softly scraped against the floor as he leaned back, his eyes narrowing but not at the Italian.

At me.

My heart beat quickened my breath caught in my throat.. Although we have never meant the way he is looking at me feels like he has recognized me, like my entire cover has blown up, my hands were trembling but I forced myself to continue wiping the table pretending like I haven't even noticed how he was looking at me.

“You have been standing there a for quite a long time devushka ” His low and lazy voice came but there was a sharpness beneath it that made my skin prickle "I couldn't hope but notice you have been cleaning the same table… over and over.”

I got his attention.... I fucked up he isn't even supposed to notice me, taking in a deep breath I forced a little laugh “I am just doing my job sir" I said trying to sound like a normal waitress.

His grey eyes looked directly into mine his expression unreadable, then he turned and looked at the italian who's attention was now on me.

I also looked at the italian studying his facial features, Mikhail didn't call his name, not once so i can only rely on this to track him down or dug up information about him.

My heart skipped a beat when mikhail turned to me and asked “What’s your name devushka?”

Natalia Morozova He said I should wear something dark right? He was still in that room, I don't know what's taking him so long, I slowly opened my suitcase about to look for something to wear, I have no choice but to go to the dinner, he said it's just his mother and sister right? It's not like it's his entire family or something.I started checking my clothes looking for something to wear but all my clothes are jeans and shirts, blouses and shorts, I can't wear any of this, as a daughter in law who is about to meet her mother in law and sister in law I shouldn't wear this.I sighed heavily before I angrily kicked the suitcase, I wasn't well prepared for this mission, I never thought I would end up married to that monster, I never even thought I would have to save him, if I had just let him die that night then I wouldn't be caught up In all this mess.I kicked the suitcase again before I sat down on the edge of the bed, I really have to finish this mission as soon as possible before

  • Bound to the mafia king   Chapter 12

Natalia Morozova "Meeting his family would be a good thing, I can dig deeper and get to know more information if I get close to them" I whispered to myself as I sat down on the edge of the bed, but why would he even introduce me to his family when this isn't a real marriage. I have to inform Captain Orlov about this, I quickly grabbed my phone and messaged him, he didn't respond for almost two minutes so I shut off the phone and kept it on the nightstand. I inhaled and exhaled before I stood up and picked up my phone, I can do this, this isn't the first time I am meeting someone's family in a Mission, but the only time I met another person's family I was pretending to be his girlfriend for a mission. Not his wife, and to make it even worse I am not pretending I am actually married to that monster although it's just on paper and once I gather enough evidence I would kill him myself then no one would even ever know I married the Bratva's Pakhan. I walked to my suitcase about to put

Mikhail Volkov "Let's head back to the Estate" I told Pavel as he opened the car door for me, "Okay Pakhan he replied, I walked into the car before he closed the door and walked to the passengers seat, the driver started driving when Pavel told him our destination. I wonder what Irina is planning, whenever she invites me to dinner I know what to expect, but this time it feels a bit different as if she is planning something much bigger than usual. "Your mother has sent a message Pakhan" pavel murmured turning my attention to him, I crooked my brows as he handed me the tablet, she could have just called me or sent the message to me, why send it through Pavel. My mother is the only person I still can't figure out, I don't even know whose side this woman is on, sometimes she would even help Irina plan how to take me down, and the next minute she is telling me about it and also helping me with my work. My mother has been in this world for far too long that she even manipulates herself

  • Bound to the mafia king   Chapter 10

Natalia Morozova I followed the same way I remembered coming from and climbed down the stairs, the wound would start bleeding soon if I don't get first aid, the first person my eyes landed on as I descended the stairs was an old woman wearing maids outfit she was cleaning the table. As soon as I was down the stairs I rushed towards her "hello" I whispered smiling a little, the old woman slowly looked up at me, from her appearance she obviously isn't Russian, she looks like she is American. I wonder how an American ended up working in a Mafia household, the bratva doesn't let outsiders near them talkless or even walking in their house. The old woman had a serious expression on her face, a very dangerous one actually, she wasn't smiling, not a bit, she didn't say Anything either and she doesn't look like she would say anything anytime soon. I took in a deep breath knowing she was going to be a tough one before I asked "Please can you help me with the First aid kid" I was asking as p

Mikhail Volkov "I don't think the Italians are making a move any time soon Pakhan" Pavel stated handing me a paper, I took the paper and looked at it, it was an order claimed to have been written by me, it even has my signature. My brows knit together as I continued reading the order, my lips curled up to an amused smirk as I looked at the signature that looked exactly like mine, I didn't write this neither did I sign it but I myself would have believed it was written by me."Where did you get this" I questioned my voice low, Pavel looked down "Maksim gave it to me, he said he found it in an envelope on his door step, but something felt off about it so he wanted to confirm before planning the hit" He explained.I hummed in response as I continued looking at the other "Have you found out anything about who wrote it" I questioned my grip on the paper tightening out of anger, Pavel shook his head "No Pakhan, but I think the Orlov Circle has something to do with it, Maksim is still inves

  • Bound to the mafia king   Chapter 8

Natalia morozovaMy heart skipped a bit when he said that, but I forced a smile trying to act like I took it as a casual comment, overreacting over a comment would be so suspicious, but why would he even give me such a compliment? Does he suspects me? No that's not possible I covered all my tracks quite well, Mikhail glanced at me one last time before he closed the door. And that was it, my investigation mode was activated, I quickly headed to his side drawer ready to start digging up information and also keeping an extra eye to look for black covered documents.I slowly opened the drawer but it was almost empty, it had just some pens and plain papers, I closed it and opened the second one, they was a black covered document in that one so I picked it quickly.A smile crept up my lips as I looked at it, as if I just found a great treasure, I opened the documents but the context were written in an unfamiliar language "what the fuck" I whispered obviously annoyed. What kind of language
