Cairos was knocking on the window, staring at me with my mouth wide open.

ISOLDE POVI clenched my fists at my sides, trying to calm my racing thoughts. My mind was spinning with questions, but one thing hit me harder than anything else: this… this animal, this murderer.. was the reason I was here. And it seemed like he was testing me. And I wasn’t going to stand here and take his crap.I stared at him, my voice steady but firm. “I’ve had enough. I’d appreciate it if you leave, Veylan.”He didn’t move. He just stood there, his eyes boring into mine. “I never told you my surname… so how did you know?”I cursed under my breath. Why do I keep getting to crazy mess with this man.. how do I get myself out of this “I thought you did… or wasn’t that the barista?” I shivered under his gaze. “Whatever that’s not the point . I want you out of my house. It’s late.”Instead of moving, he casually sat back, crossing his legs like he owned the place.“Well,” he said slowly, a small smirk tugging at his lips, “I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you, Sol… I’m not leavi

Which one are you?”I blinked at him. What the hell was he talking about? Was he … Drunk? Delusional? Or just naturally terrifying or into weird fantasy stories ?I tried to play along seeing how serious he looked. “Hum… I’m a… a mermaid?” I said, forcing a laugh, hoping he’d take the bait and stop this madness. He didn
