LOGIN“W-what?” I croaked, my knees wobbling. “Sophie…? What are you saying?” My voice trembled, barely escaping my throat. I stared at her like I was looking at a stranger wearing my sister’s face.
Sophie didn’t respond at first, just stood there with a pitiful expression, her arms folded tightly across her chest like she was trying to protect herself. Like she was the victim.
“No, no, no,” I shook my head, unable to bring myself to believe what was happening. If it was all an act or a sick prank. But, I still forced myself to speak. “Y-you know I didn’t do it. You know how much I loved them. Sophie, please…why are you doing this?!”
My sister suddenly snapped, her voice rising as fake tears pooled in her eyes. “Enough, Sara! Just stop! How can you still lie when there is enough evidence?!” She pointed an accusing finger at me, her voice growing sharper. “I tried to keep quiet. I wanted to protect you because you’re my sister, and I love you! But I can’t do it anymore. I can’t keep hiding the truth.”
“You tampered with the brakes, Sara! You caused the crash! You murdered our parents! You killed them just because they joked about me marrying Adrian!”
My entire world tilted. My heart slammed painfully against my chest and then just… stopped. I forgot how to breathe.
The walls of the hall seemed to close in around me, the lights blurring through my tears. My wolf whimpered inside me, folding in on herself. My body trembled violently, not from the cold, but from the betrayal.
Hot tears streamed down my face as I stared at her, struggling to accept what I was hearing. My own blood. My twin. Standing there, condemning me like I was nothing but a stranger in her way.
And then she moved.
Sophie walked up to the stage with slow, graceful steps, like she was stepping into a role she’d rehearsed all her life. She gave a small, respectful bow to Adrian, my mate, and reached for the microphone.
Her voice was soft, trembling just enough to sound sincere.
“First of all, I want to apologize on behalf of my sister,” she said, turning to the crowd with tear-filled eyes. “She must have lost her mind when she did it. Saraphina… she wasn't always like this.” She paused dramatically, blinking as if to hold back tears. “I also want to apologize for hiding the truth. For staying silent. That makes me a monster too, and I’ll carry that guilt forever.”
“If this bitch is a murderer then she should be banished!” Someone in the crowd suddenly yelled and I flinched.
“No, she should be killed! The former Beta was a great man!”
“She's insane! She should die!”
“Ungrateful bitch!”
“It's always the beautiful ones!”
And just like that, the people who once cherished me saw me as a monster. They all turned their backs on me, including the ones I thought were my friends.
“Silence!” Adrian ordered and the room fell quiet.
“Before I give Saraphina her deserved punishment, I want you all to witness how I claim someone more befitting as my mate and Luna.”
Before I could process what Adrian meant, he walked over to my sister and pierced his fangs into her neck, marking her on the spot and instantly breaking our mate bond.
My legs gave up and I fell to the ground, my body convulsing as a sharp, burning pain tore through my chest. The agony of a broken bond left me gasping for air, clutching at my heart as the weight of his betrayal crushed me.
“All hail Sophie Nightshade, the new Luna of ShadowClaw Pack!” Adrian announced as he pulled my sister close to him.
“All hail the Luna!” The crowd cheered, clapping and howling.
“Now, as for this traitor’s punishment,” Adrian said coldly, his eyes void of any emotion as he looked down at me, “After much consideration, I have decided she will be dragged to the dungeons where I’ll personally carry out the ritual to sever her bond with the Moon Goddess and strip her of her wolf. And once she’s nothing but a powerless disgrace, she will be burned alive at the stake, as a warning to anyone who dares betray this pack.”
“No!” I screamed, crawling toward him on trembling limbs, tears still streaming down my face. “Adrian, please, don’t do this. I know you love me, plea…”
I couldn’t finish my sentence as Adrian forcefully kicked me to the side, not hard enough to knock me out, but enough to silence me. I whimpered, clutching my ribs, yet still found the strength to crawl. This time toward my sister. “S-sophie please tell the truth, you know I didn't do it. Please.” I cried, holding her ankle like my life depended on it.
She didn't spare me a glance, hiding her face between Adrian’s chest.
“Take her away!”

By the time I woke up, months had already passed, and so had the girl I used to be.
The pain, the betrayal, the endless torment in the dungeons—everything had stripped me down to nothing. My wolf was gone and my heart was shattered. He stood there, no, they stood in the dungeon watching the warriors pump me full with wolfsbane until I lost my wolf, and then they left like I was nothing. They just left like they'd never been part of my life.
The dungeon's gate creaked open and I didn't fight it when the warriors started to drag me out. I had already given up on life and accepted that I was going to be burned alive. I closed my eyes, awaiting the end, praying it would be quick.
However, when I opened my eyes again, I was shocked to see that I wasn't being led to the execution grounds; instead, I was being dragged through the familiar halls of Adrian's pack.
I shrieked when the warriors pushed me into a room, and before I could ask a question, some omegas surrounded me and dragged me into the bathroom, forcefully bathing me, and then they dressed me up in a nice gown. Did they want me to look my best before burning me alive?
Without saying a single word, they left me alone in the room. However, almost immediately, the door c
licked open, and the familiar voice of my sister came. “Hello, bitch!”
Saraphina POV I don't know how long I slept but when I woke up, it felt like I had been asleep for a million years. It was so deep that if someone had carried me out of the room, I would not have noticed. I let out a low groan as I massaged my forehead, forcing my body to sit up and rest against the bed board. My entire body ached like it had been hammered with an anvil. I sighed as I remembered what happened last night, how Xavier took me. He was like a beast, yet, as crazy as it sounded, it felt like he still held back a bit, and it made me shudder, as I couldn't imagine what his limit would feel like. Perhaps my legs might split in two? Goodness above, I was definitely never going to sneak out again. I felt sticky down there and my body felt like it wasn't mine so I carefully climbed down from the bed and headed to the bathroom where I soaked myself in a warm bath. I stayed there for an hour, just allowing my body to melt into the water and when I was done bathing, I wore a com
Xavier's POV My chest burned with rage as I stormed into the guest's room. I couldn't stop clenching and unclenching my fist as I muttered gibberish. If Drako had not told me about what Saraphina did, Matthew would have fucked her. He would have fucking had his way with my breeder. No, I wasn't angry because I cared. I was mad because I hated sharing my property and I believed that only I should have access to my breeder. Until her last breath, every part of her belonged to me. I loosened my tie and tossed it aside then I undid my shirt and undid my trousers. I was going to burn every damn thing I wore to that club. After mindlinkling an omega to dispose of the outfit, I stepped into the bathroom. I looked at my length, it was still hard and I groaned in irritation. I wasn't fucking supposed to want to cum and it was a miracle that I had managed to pull out. I wanted to simply punish her, to make her regret her actions and to make her never forget that very night but mid-punishment,
My eyes shot open and a loud gasp escaped my lips.“X-xavier.” I rasped, my tone coming out in a choked whisper as my heart thundered within my ribcage. Xavier was relentless as he fucked me, he wasn't holding back, not even just a little. He pumped in hard and fast, his hands around my own tightened as if he was planning to break them. Oh, mMoongoddess it wasn't even our breeding day! Was this some sort of punishment for entering the club?“How dare you sneak out of my house?!” He growled, then thrust in hard. I yelped. “I-I…Before I could finish my sentence, he asked another question. “How dare you expose your body to other men?” He pushed in again, quicker. I almost cried. The gown wasn't even too short and why did he care?!“Tell me, how many men asked you to dance with them? Did you allow a random dude to touch what is mine?” He grabbed my hair, yanking it to the back and I gasped. Goodness above, why was he so mad? “I-i didn't let anyone touch me, you saw it yourself…that I w
Music was blasting through every speaker in the room and the party was popping, people were dancing crazily, some having sex right there on the floor and others drinking like their lives depended on it. The club was just as I had imagined it to be—a crazy place. After navigating my way through the crowd and heading to the restroom, I quickly washed my neck and hands, the area I had poured engine oil on, then I sprayed my body spray and stepped outside. “Hey pretty, would you like a private service?” A male stripper asked as he walked up to me and I blushed. He was tall and muscular, with a teasing smile on his face and eyes that reminded me of Xavier's. Fuck, why was I thinking about Xavier?!“No, sorry,” I replied. He winked then walked over to the next lady, slightly moving his body to the music. I weaved my way through the crowd, slowly easing up into the space. At least, as crazy as it was, I knew the club only housed rich people so I didn't have to fear getting drugged and then
Saraphina POV “Baking?” He questioned, his voice dark, yet teasing. I nodded, unsure what else to do or say. And as if he wasn't so close to me, to the point we practically shared the same air, he leaned in further and whispered. “Sorry breeder, I won't allow that. Your job is to produce an heir for me and that's all it should be.” And with this, he walked back to his chair. My heart broke. I opened my mouth to speak, but words failed me. What was I even going to say? If Xavier had made up his mind then there was no going back. It was fruitless. I knew there was a chance he might say no, yet it still hurt. I stood there as I watched him continue working as if he didn't just shatter my heart. “What are you waiting for? Are you not going to leave?” He asked without looking at me. I sighed, bowed, and left. Outside, I couldn't help but scoff. So mean! Sure, I was his breeder, but not a furniture. Going out to work would not stop me from doing my duties. I entered my room, jumped int
Saraphina POV I was upstairs in my room when Xavier arrived at the pack, and although I needed to talk to him, I knew I wasn't allowed to be in the same space with him until it was breeding night, which would not happen until the next two days. I couldn't wait that long, so I started to pace around my room, thinking of an idea on how to talk to Xavier and relay my concerns to him. I thought of writing to him on paper, but I imagined him tearing it up and setting it on fire without even reading it, so I scratched that idea. I also thought of asking an omega to relay the message, but the thought of Xavier sending her to the dungeons because of me, didn't sit well with me. “Think Saraphina, think of something,” I muttered to myself, trying to force my brain to bring up an idea. “Bingo!” I uttered gladly when a certain idea crossed my mind. And when I was sure Xavier had gone up to his wings, I rushed downstairs, just in time to meet the Beta, Draco. “Beta Draco, please wait up,” I cal
