Chapter 4

“Our first session begins tonight.” The words echoed in my head as I scrambled to put on my dress and cover my nakedness. 

“I-I am going to mate Alpha Xavier tonight?" The words tasted foreign in my mouth and a lump formed in my throat. I had always imagined that my first sex would be with Adrian after our wedding, but I was going to lose my virginity to a heartless Alpha, and as a mere breeder?

I flinched when I heard the sound of the door. I thought it was Alpha Xavier and my breath hitched. However, fortunately for me, it was a young girl who stepped into the room. “Come to the dining room, your food is ready.” Her tone was clipped, and for an omega, she sounded somewhat rude.

Regardless, I nodded and followed her respectfully. Because at that moment, an omega was better than I. She had a life and I had nothing.

On reaching the dining room, I was shocked by the amount of omegas waiting for me. I swallowed, my heart starting to race in fear. They stared at me with so much irritation, like they could perceive a gutter smell or something. They looked like they were there for trouble, and I was right. Because one suddenly said,

“I heard you got sold to the Alpha.” Her voice dripped with disdain. “What did they pay for you with? scraps?”

Another scoffed loudly. “They could’ve sent him a corpse and it would’ve had more worth.”

“She looks diseased,” a girl hissed. “What if she infects the Alpha with whatever filth clings to her skin?”

Of course, I probably looked sick as I hadn't eaten anything good in months and I was locked in a dungeon.

“The Alpha is a god among men,” a soft voice whispered, almost reverently. “And they sent him this? It’s insulting. He should feel offended.”

“I bet he won’t even finish with her,” another said coldly. “He’ll take one look, see the dirt on her skin, and walk away. Maybe slit her throat just for wasting his time.”

My skin prickled with goosebumps. Would he really kill me?

“Would she even be able to give him an heir? She looks too weak.”

“Nah, I think she’ll be dead in a month or less. And when she is gone, the Alpha would increase the price of getting a breeder and maybe, someone worthy might volunteer, not some filthy thing without a life getting sold to him.”

Their words stung because it was true. I was nothing. I had been reduced from the daughter of a respected Beta to a breeder—a breeder without a say.

But this was my life now and there was nothing I could do about it. “P-please can I eat in peace? I haven’t had proper food in a while.” 

The girls laughed, a loud mocking laugh that pierced into my soul. Tears gathered in my eyes. I couldn’t even remember the last time someone laughed at me, they always laughed with me.

“Okay, go ahead and eat.” Mary, the one who called me from my room, voiced and I nodded in understanding.

“Arghhh!” I screamed in horror when I opened the lid covering my plate and saw dead cockroaches.

The girls started to laugh again. “A roach… a silly roach who managed to crawl into a great Alpha's pack is what you are!”

Tears rolled down my face as I looked up at the girls, trying to understand the reason for their actions. Heavens above, I had already been through so much before coming here. Bully was the last thing I wanted. “W-why? Why are you doing this?”

“Don’t you get it? It’s because you are a roach, you are nothing. We might be omega’s but it's insulting for us to have to serve someone who doesn’t even have the right to her life. Fuck, you were literally sold to our Alpha against his will and yet, we have to bow to you?” It was still Mary speaking. 

“Y-you don’t have to bow to me, you can ignore me if you want to. Please just let me have a life here. I have already been through…

A hard slap that sent my weak body crashing against the table landed on my face. 

“How dare you?! How dare you try to act pitiful?! You are worthless and you don't deserve to feel anything.” She scowled.

“Argh! I’m so pissed. I really wish Alpha were patient enough so a more befitting person would come in.” The tallest chimed in. They said more hurtful words, before turning around and leaving me.

I used the back of my palm to wipe off my teary face as I rose from the floor. However, the more I wiped off my tears, the more they came rushing down. I touched my aching cheek and then stared down at the cockroaches, and it was at this moment that it clicked—my life ended months ago when I was betrayed by my lover and sister, and at that moment, I was just a walking corpse. 

I laughed bitterly. Did I really think I could have a life as a breeder? Heavens, if I didn't satisfy Xavier he could kill me and get another girl. What was I thinking? 

“It’s over, Saraphina, you have no life,” I muttered bitterly as I walked away from the dining room, allowing my legs to lead me to heaven knows where. I reached the elevator and I pressed the button leading to the rooftop. It dinged open and the air from the cool night slapped against my skin as I stood outside, on the rooftop.

My body felt heavy as I dragged my legs to the very end of the roof. “I should have done this a long time ago,” I muttered, looking down at the ground.

I turned around, willing my back to face the open space as I closed my eyes. “ Moon goddess please guide me to a better place.” I was about to push myself down when I suddenly heard, 

“If you fucking jump I'm going to make sure your damn soul doesn’t rest in peace. I don't care how I do it, I would find a way to transport to the spirit world and drag your damn soul into your body, and then I would kill you for daring to kill yourself.”

My eyes snapped open and I moved away from the edge. Alpha Xavier was staring at me with eyes that could kill. Rumbling dangerously, it made my already cold body colder. From the way he was dressed, I could tell he had just returned from work or something.

Heavens, wolves were fast, but Alpha Xavier bolted like lightning as he reached my side and slammed me to a wall. “ How dare you?!” He roared, eyes blazing with fury. “How dare you try to take your life?”

“I-I’m…

“You don't get to end your life Sarapinia. You belong to me and only I get to decide when you die.”

“I-i am tired of life. I-I don't want to be your breeder.”

Alpha Xavier’s eyes grew darker, I could practically see danger lurking in them. My breath hitched as he leaned in. “Oh, honey you have no say in this.”

He pulled away. “Follow me.”

I wanted to speak, wanted to protest but I remembered his previous warning. He hated repeating himself, so I followed him, my heart racing. 

“Strip.” He ordered the moment we entered the room that seemed to now be mine.

I didn’t hesitate this time, I quickly took off all my clothes. I was more scared of him than I was of anything. 

“Get on the bed and show me your behind.”

I was trembling horribly, but I climbed on the bed and arched my back, showing him my behind. Maybe I had lost my sanity in the dungeon but a dark part of me was a little excited. But, it still didn't change the fact that I was scared as hell. My first session was about to start and I was going to lose my virginity.

“Little wolf, I am going to show you why you shouldn't end your life. You belong to me and I am going to make you want all of me. All of the darkness.” He said dangerously, from behind me, and I swallowed, my knees shaking against the sheets. He crawled into the bed.

“I-I.” Before I could tell him that I hadn't done it before, he slammed his cock into my virgina, and a piercing scream left my mouth as I sank into the bed crying.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I heard him growl irritably. And for some seconds, it was quiet and even though my eyes were closed as I was still crying from the pain, I could feel his piercing gaze on me.

I was probably stupid for thinking he was waiting for me to stop crying, but it felt like it as he only rose from the bed when my cries died down. I opened my eyes. He didn't look angry anymore but his expression was unreadable.

I watched as he got down from the bed, strolled to the wardrobe, and grabbed two cartons. I didn't know what he was holding as he was a bit far and my vision was blurry. 

He came closer and a gasp left my mouth when he pulled out the contents in the carton and tossed the boxes aside. 

Alpha Xavier tossed a vibrator and a didlo on the bed, and in a dark tone, he said, “
