Chapter 1: The Announcement.
“What is the urgent news my maid had to keep banging on my door that you both are calling for me, I literally am not done preparing for the party we’re having at Brandon’s and Anna would soon be here to pick me up. Gosh!” The door to the study room opened with a beautiful blonde spilling out her thoughts in a distressed tone.Inside the room was her parents together and leaned gently on the desk with their arms crossed, looking plain or rather unbothered to her words.“Missy, we have something to tell you, it is important and for your own good. Try not to freak out.” Her mother said, the warning at the end pushing Missy’s curiosity out of a resting line as she came in further, her face scrunching in confusion. She looked through their dull faces wondering what they could possibly have to share with her that warranted a forlorn expression.“Yeah go on with it, I don’t have much time, I still haven’t pick a perfect dress for the party, this one on me doesn’t look fitted at all.” She spoke in urgency, her eyes glancing at the bodycon claded on her body.“You’re getting married to the Locke’s family.” Her father muttered quickly in a plain voice like she wanted, his look at Missy switching, going plain like the board of a cutting surface.Missy’s head tilted upward, away from the dress she was checking out to look at the father who just gave her an unsettling news, her ears twitching to what she just heard. “Huh? Can you like repeat that? Cause I think I heard it wrong or I simply misheard you. I kinda heard something about marriage and I must be wrong?” She asked, unsure filling her tone as she stared at the grownups with her eyes lowered at them, her gaze narrowing through her eyebrows.“I do not have time for this bullshit you’re displaying, I want you calling things off with whoever you call that your worthless boyfriend, because your soon to be husband is coming here for dinner later this night for a proper introduction between the both of you, and I want you behaving well and not like a young lady who is not informed, and dear do not try to attack this decision because it’s final and cannot be changed. Like your mother said to you earlier, this is for your own good and future. You’re getting married, and that is it.” The man deadpanned further to Missy’s hearing, sparing no seconds of opinions as he walked past her and out of the room leaving an astounded Missy with her mother.“Mom what did he just said? What the fuck did he just said that I’m doing?” Missy asked, about the devastating news she just received that sounded not only unbelievable to her ears, but also the least possible. Her gaze went awful at her mother with her index pointed backwards at the route her father took out.“Missy like he said, this is for your own good. For the good of this family. This is for your future, this is for your sake.” Her mother gave a soft response, her face holding so much sympathy as she approached her daughter.“Which of the Locke’s, they have two sons as you know, and we all know the calamity behind the first born, so will the second son break up with his girlfriend for me also or is he single?” Missy inquired, peering back at her mother with a look of nervosity in her eyes. It must not be who she’s thinking of.“Uhm…” her mother was silent swallowing the lump that seemed to surface her throat, facing somewhere else that isn’t her face to avoid an answer to the question.“Look at me mom, who among the brothers am I getting married to?”“Tyler, darling, and don’t worry, there’s nothing he can do to you or even going to do to you, I promise you are under the protection of his-““What!” Missy yelled, cutting her mother off her statement. Hating that her guess on who her husband would be is right. Her sense knocking off immeditely into rage, pure one that waited no second into exploding on her face.“W-wh-wha-what are you saying? Ty-Tyler who?” She stuttered in between her question, her voice coming out broken as she fought back the tears that threatens to flow down her angry face.“I promise you he won’t hurt you, plus we all know the rumors aren’t always true, just because the world painted him black doesn’t mean he is indeed black.” The mother said, trying to convince Missy the situation isn’t as bad as she think it is or going to be.“Oh really?” She asked with sarcasm, “His first wife left him, and what was her review to the world, he’s nothing but a cold hearted bastard that treated her a vacation to hell, same with his second and third wife, in the space of just one year. I cannot believe what those women faced in his hand or can even try to imagine it. And now me, your only daughter or child, is the one you’re getting married off to a monster. My life hasn’t even began yet and this is what you decide for me, I am eighteen years old mom! Eighteen years old for Pete’s sake. And I hate you so much for agreeing to this, you and your husband that supposedly want the best for me but gave me the worst instead can as well rot in hell.” With that addressed in a total breakdown, Missy stormed out of the study room.Finding her way back to her room where the moment she arrived she lashed out her anger on the things she saw, throwing tantrum and screaming her pain out loud.Hearing the approaching footsteps to her room, she rushed back to her door locking it from behind. The least she want is any of those wicked souls referring themselves as her parent to come console her or show their unwanted sympathy.“Arghhhhhhh!” She screamed in a loud voice as she picked up a flower vase throwing it off on the floor, she went over to her vanity stand clearing all that sits on the table to the floor, the perfume glasses amidst them coming to a shatter.“Missy open this door up right now!” Her mother’s voice, from outside yelled while banging loudly on her door.“Go away!” She yelled back. “I don’t want to see any of you right now!”“Missy-““I said fucking go away! You’ve ruined the life thank you!” She screamed the more, moving to her table stand and making a hard push that had the table falling down with everything on it coming to the floor. She was turning her room into a big mess. All this getting done with tears flowing down her eyes while her father’s words iterated her brain like a favorite song on repeat; in her case a line. She’s getting married and it’s not to anyone but to Tyler Locke. Of all the eligible bachelors in the whole city of Los Angeles, Tyler Locke.“Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Her tone vociferated, the realization hitting her harder.“They never loved me!” She bellowed in a scream filled with so much pain and anger, picking up a stool and targeting her window she threw it, that resulted in the window piecing with how hard the wood cut through and flew outside. Her moment was soon disrupted when her phone began ringing, rolling out a toilet roll that she picked on the floor, she wiped the mucous sticking out of her nose as she walked to where her phone was.Without bothering to check who the caller was she picked the call, “I’M GONNA END THIS CALL AND IF YOU DARE TO CALL ME BACK I WILL CURSE THE LIVING HELL INTO YOUR LIFE!” She yelled out to the phone with tears dampening her eyes the more.“Jeez, what happened to you, who the fuck broke your heart? Is it Bryan? I never trusted him.” A female voice came from the call’s background, talking back at her. This had her pulling the phone away from her ear and checking who the caller was, it was her best friend; Thea. They were suppose to attend a party her boyfriend’s best friend was throwing. And her second best friend; Anna was suppose to come pick her up. She has two best friend, Thea however is more closer to her.“My life just got ruined.” Missy let out in a low voice, crashing on her bed with more tears streaming down her face.“What do you mean?”“My parents just told me I’m getting married to one of the Locke’s son, and it’s not the other brother but rather Tyler. My life is ruined at this very young age Thea, it’s ruined!” She lamented, crying out the more.“What!!!!!” Thea exclaimed from her end, “What do you mean getting married to Tyler, don’t your parents value your life at all?” She added.“I don’t know what to do Thea, and tonight he’s coming over for dinner. This is sudden, too sudden.” She wailed, her palm slamming against her forehead.“I have an idea.”“Yeah,” she answered, expecting her to say the idea.“Why don’t you runaway Missy, you can just run away and come hide with me for few days before we think of a better plan. I really don’t suggest you go with their decision of marrying that devil. I can’t imagine what your life would become if you go to him.” Thea told her, throwing all of Missy’s reality into silence after hearing the suggestion.“Missy? Missy are you still there? Missy answer me?” Thea called relentlessly, weirded out by the silence that came in between their conversation.“That’s a great idea, Thea.” Missy spoke up all of a sudden, her face litting up with a smile surfacing on her lips.“You’re such a life saver, get your car ready outside our compound, I’m getting my things ready now.” She added, her voice filled with determination as she stood up, ending her call with her best friend.A/N: Welcoming you to read my book, a novel with three parts. Soon information on where he hid was revealed and noted down, one of the team working with Tyler raised his thumb, signaling to Tyler that he was done. “Oh brother, you never had to be this bad. It doesn’t always end well for bad people, I want you to know that.” Tyler rounded up his casual conversation with him. “Yet your man is on the way with the documents, if that doesn’t spell my win, I don’t know what does. Goodbye saint, since you’re ironically the good one.” He replied, hanging up the call not interested in more bantering. “We’ve gotten it.” The same guy who signaled with his thumb, announced audibly again. “Good. Ray, gather some men and storm over. I want him alive.” He instructed calmly. “And you know where to bring him.” He added, looking over at him where he stood with the technicians team to see
Book 2- Chapter 67 (Semi Finale)Missy spent the few early hours of the next morning enjoying her decision to love Tyler, they remained snuggled in bed, talking about random things since they woke up. Not long, their sweet moment was interrupted when Missy got a call from her father. He said nothing than instruct her to rush over, there is an emergency. Tyler had to let her go, wanting to go deal with his own problem once and for all. They’ve already been working on it since he murdered their father. Both dressed up for the day, parting ways to their respective destinations. Ray remained with Tyler, and Dean went with Missy like he did the other day. Soon enough they were back in the Lane’s premises, striding side by side into their mansion. Missy checked the living room, seeing her father was absent, decided to check his office, there she met him in a frenzied mood. “Dad! What’s going on?” She walked up to him, quizzing against her confusion. “You were right.” Davis replied sim
Book 2- Chapter 66Missy and Dean arrived back at the mansion, late into the evening. They parted the moment they entered, Dean taking off to wherever and Missy on her way to Tyler’s suite. Her mind trolled about Tyler’s plan for the night. She wouldn’t lie to herself, she’s enjoying this sweet side of his. She got to his suite, entering only to the roses making a path on the floor of the living room, leading further into the room. A smile pulled up on Missy’s lips, flustered as she followed the roses, going into his room to see a dress box on the bed, and an enveloped notecard sitting pretty above it. ‘For my darling wife’ The enveloped notecard held the scripted title. Missy took the card, filing it open to remove the notecard inside. “For a lady prettier than the stars beautifying the night sky. Become your goddess with the dress.” Missy read the text, absolutely smitten as a wide grin morphed largely on her face. She dropped the card, peeling open the box to reveal a well f
Book 2- Chapter 65Missy was skeptical, torn up by what she heard, deciding not to express a reaction quickly went away from the door, gesturing towards Dean for them to return back to their feet. Her mind kept hurtling around what she heard, keeping a close call and a shady touch. She arrived by her father’s office, meeting him there as expected. He seemed busy with his work, thanks to his injured leg. He’s unable to visit his company and work from his company, now he’s doing it from home, leaving the company under the care of his assistant. “Hey Dad!” Missy greeted, purposely to announce her presence. She walked further inside, leaving the entrance where Dean already took a stance on guard. “Hey! I’m guessing you’re done with your tour. Are you about to leave?” He pushed aside the laptop he was working on, bringing his full attention to focus on Missy. “Not really, I came to discuss some things with you. It’s about my conversation with Theodore. He told me some things, not only
Book 2- Chapter 64“My mother faked her death while I got arrested, and detained in a cell. She then came for me the next morning, I think she’s got some connections with the Chief PO. They released me and I went away with her, while walking over to her car, she made us ran away from someone I have no idea of. I asked her who it was, but she talked around it and didn’t let me know exactly who the man was. Although, she later said it was her husband, husband from years ago, husband I have no idea what she did to him that makes her scared of his return. We got to her private abode where I’m sure none of you knows where, she introduced some guy to me as her housekeeper. Unknown to me, the guy was her son. She lied to me, and the same guy took me out and sent me back to jail; with my mom’s interest. If you still think I’m lying, this is going to be my last truth of convincing you. My mom had this plan with The Connors, they were going to kidnap their son, and I will be made a mask, a facia
Book 2- Chapter 63“Welcome to our home. Missy will go on now and put you to a room, and give you a little tour of the house. I know you must be famished, so let me quickly go make you something to eat. After your tour with Missy, you can go freshen up and Davis, your father would look into his closet and find something casual for you to wear.” Kristen pointed out for everyone except Kory, her mother and Missy’s escort. They had just returned home from the FBI’s station and it’s noon already. The gathering soon dispersed with everyone leaving to tend to their given instructions. Kristen left for the kitchen with her sister, and Missy left with Theodore and Dean trailing behind them. “So, should we try the brother-sister bonding of a thing?” He asked, letting his words break the silence. “No, not interested. Instead, talk to me about how my life is in danger.” She responded, her head nodding sideways to further confirm her words. “Well, if you go to your prom then you’ll die. Simpl
Book 2- Chapter 62His statement brought forth their simmering fascination. “What do you mean Delaney is involved?”“What do you mean your mother is involved?” Missy and her father asked at the same time. “Your mother is dead in case you don’t know.” Davis felt to inform him, thinking his words weren’t based with fruition. A grin lined his face, twinning his palms as he moved to relax on his seat. “Dead? You think my mother is dead?” He raised an amusing look, tainting his words with sarcasm so he would be unable to figure out. Missy and her father looked at each other, “You’re lying, he’s lying. You’re just trying to get out of here.” Missy called out, “Sorry, but we don’t want your information. Dad let’s go before he finds something more to keep us here.” She said, turning to her father as she grabbed him, dragging him up with her to their feet. “Of course I’m trying to get out of here, just not lying. Walk out that door and leave me here, chances are I’ll visit your funeral, Mi
Book 2- Chapter 61They all arrived at the FBI quarters in three different rides, one belonging to Missy and her escort; Dean. One belonging to Davis and his wife, and the last one transporting Kristen’s sister and Missy’s cousin. The clock was vast ticking down to noon, the sun up high with a bright shone through the sky. Walking in, an agent who was expecting their arrival led the way, taking them to the room where Theodore was kept for confrontation. Missy was the first to enter the room, her eyes landing on Theodore’s soft gaze at her. Irritation washed through her, instantly expressing it by averting her eyes. She came in further, letting the rest in have their space for entrance. The agent who came with them also turning around to leave. “You.” Missy lifted an index, pointing it directly at his face while she approached him with slow movements. “I want to talk to you, and you alone.” Theodore asserted, referring to Missy and Davis with his own indexes. Everyone exchanged gl
Book 2- Chapter 60Tyler had his father’s burnt corpse cremated further into ashes, spending his day arranging his funeral. He hadn’t broke the news to his mother yet. He wanted to add the news of Dave’s death alongside the traumatic news whenever he breaks it to her. He already had Ray on the job, working hand in hand with the private assassin he hired to remove his brother if he ever steps his foot into the city. Tyler stood by the grave, watching as they worked on making a tombstone out of the grave. His phone rang, disrupting his focused attention to the men’s work. He brought it out, knowing who was calling him by the anonymous name. He walked away for some privacy, picking the call after. “Was my message delivered or I have to repeat myself?” Tyler’s cold voice goaded the moment he took the call. “Pissed about the death of your old man?” A wry chuckle followed, evident in his tone the distress still bothering him, definitely from the physical assault received from Tyler yes
