Missy’s lips couldn’t stop quivering in shock, her expression could only helped expressing on the matter. She stared in awe at her mother who finally took notice of her and turning fully to face her.

They peered at each other with different insinuations.

“Mom,” Missy called with her tone feeling held back, “Who are you and what did you mean by that?” She asked, taking failing breaths with many thoughts dribbling her head while trying to comprehend what she just heard.

Mrs Lane scoffed with an eye roll, “I’m sadly not your actual mother, so stop with the icky title now that you know.” She revealed, looking away from her and back to zipping the traveling bag between her legs.

Missy was beyond wordless, the capability to express in words lost in her system as she stared dumbfounded at the woman in front of her. What did she meant by that? Is she adopted? That would make sense if it aligned with what she heard.
