Kevin finally pulled Avery into his lap and put two fingers into her mouth and she began to suck.

"What... Is she doing?" I questioned, my curiosity getting the best of me.

"She's sucking my blood... It usually calms her down. I think she hasn't had any to drink and that's why she's acting like a maniac."

"She's nice and she didn't mean any harm by what she said." I reasoned.

"I know, but remember that as long as you're with Alex, Lizzy won't hurt you, okay?"

I nodded and turned back to Avery, finding her very interesting to look at since i had only read of vampires in books and watched them, but I didn't know i'd be seeing one in the flesh.

"Are you a pure blooded vampire or a hybrid?" I asked Avery and Kevin took that as a cue to pull his fingers away, but Avery grabbed onto it and licked off the specks of blood left at the tip.

As she licked the tip with a satisfied smile, her crimson red eyes shone and i could see the tip of her fangs just before she closed her mouth.

"I'm a pur
