The company was buzzing with noise. People were in groups talking in whispers. Hazel was not part of the group's. She did not even want to join them. The human resource manager had dumped a bunch of files on her desk and she was very busy. She buried her head in the files as soon as she got into the office. She did not want want to associate herself with the gossip milling around. She knew in her heart that it was her they were talking about. Over the past few weeks she had developed a thick skin and was almost not fazed by the talks that were going around.
