LOGINChapter 5
Dean
I couldn't get that night out of my head. Whenever I closed my eyes I saw Alice's beautiful body, how innocent she was and that she actually gave me her first time. I just couldn't stop thinking about her.
“Are you listening to me?”
Juliana's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
“Sorry, I was thinking about some stuff. What did you say?”
“Dean, you've been like this for days. You don't pay attention to me whenever I speak. It's like your mind is somewhere else entirely.”
“I am so sorry,” I said, stretching my hands over the table, taking hers in mine.
“What were you saying?”
“We have a lot of things to go through for the wedding and we have to start inviting other packs. It's just a lot and it's stressing me.”
“You know that's why there are people who plan stuff like this, right? You do not have to be involved in every step.”
“Of course I do,” she snapped. “This is my wedding to my dream man. I want everything to be perfect just like the both of us.”
She called me her dream man, but my dream woman was somewhere else entirely. She hadn't shown up for work in 2 days and I was so worried.
I looked at Juliana who kept talking nonstop and I felt bad for her because after we had gotten married and I became the Alpha after my father, I was going to go for Alice.
I had thought about it for so long it gave me sleepless nights. My father would never accept Alice. She had no wolf and she wasn't from a high-class family. I didn't care about any of that, but my father and my pack did.
When I became Alpha no one would be able to tell me who to love or who to be with, but the fact that I would hurt Juliana in the process wouldn't let me be.
I was just seeing her mouth move, not hearing a single word she was saying. I just kept thinking about Alice. We'd been working together for months and she was everything and I never had the courage to tell her how much I wanted her.
She was always so insecure around me and that made me want to pull her even closer, to tell her how perfect she was.
I picked up my phone and scrolled to the last message she sent to me. She wanted us to meet, but I never had the courage to respond. What was I going to say to her? When I introduced Juliana I saw the hurt in her eyes.
That night was supposed to be casual sex, nothing more, but there was something more and I wanted more, more of Alice.
I finally responded to the message.
And she sent me a location. It was actually a restaurant not far from here.
“Juliana, can we talk later? I have a business meeting I have to catch up with.”
“Of course,” she said with a charming smile. “We'll talk more about the wedding when you get home.”
I forced a smile then quickly left the office before she tried saying anything else because right now I had no strength for Juliana's problems.
When I was in the elevator I kept wondering what exactly she wanted to tell me and I kind of felt nervous, which was weird for me. I was never nervous.
I walked into the restaurant. Immediately the scent of freshly baked pastries hit my nostrils. I made my way to a booth close to the window, hoping she would show up.
A couple of minutes went by and I lifted my head up only to see her walking towards where I was seated.
“Hey,” she said when she was close enough. “Can I sit?”
“Of course,” I replied quickly.
She slowly sat down in the chair in front of me and for a moment we didn't say a word. She looked everywhere in the restaurant except at me. It was obvious she did not want to make eye contact.
“Are you okay?” I asked softly, observing her. She looked like she'd been crying. Her eyes were swollen and her skin looked a bit pale.
“I'm fine,” she replied.
“You've not been at work for the past 2 days.”
“I had some stuff to handle.”
She was being cold and it was probably my fault. After what had happened between us that night I never spoke about it. I just acted like it didn't happen, like it meant nothing, when it meant a lot to me.
“I have something very important I need to tell you and it's fine if you do not want to be a part of it. I perfectly understand. You're getting married and...”
I reached for her hand and immediately she stopped talking.
“What are you doing?” she said before quickly pulling away.
“Alice....” I said her name quietly. Her eyes were filled with so much pain. I didn't need anyone to tell me, I saw it.
“Dean....”
Someone yelled my name from the door. When I looked up it was Juliana. Everyone's attention turned to me and Alice. She quickly hid her face like she was ashamed to be seen with me. Thankfully the restaurant wasn't that packed.
“Juliana, what the hell are you doing here?” I said when she was close enough to me.
“I missed you, silly, and you told me you had a business meeting. This doesn't seem like business,” she said, turning to Alice and she had this condescending look in her eyes.
I couldn't say anything. She immediately lowered herself onto my lap, her arms around my neck as she placed a kiss on my cheek.
Alice got up slowly.
“I think I need to go now.”
“Alice wait, we haven't had that conversation yet.”
“Baby, if she wants to go let her go,” Juliana said, and right now all I wanted was just to push her off of me and chase after Alice, but I di
dn't. I sat there like a coward watching her walk through the door and disappear into the crowd.
Chapter 7Alice"You know that bitch has some nerve. I have to give it to her," Layla said as she paced restlessly. I was the one who got treated like trash, but she was angrier than I was."You should have slapped her so hard across the face that a tooth falls off.""Have you forgotten I am not that strong? She has a wolf; I don't," I replied in a weak and defeated voice. She stopped pacing and sat beside me on the couch."Are you okay?" she asked. Her voice wasn't filled with anger anymore; it was worry. I was trying so hard not to break down again, but all my attempts failed because tears started rushing down my cheeks again, and I couldn't stop it.Layla held me in her arms as I cried uncontrollably."It hurts so much," I said in between sobs. It felt like someone ripped my heart out of my chest."I am so sorry," Layla said, her voice soft and gentle. Usually, just hearing her talk would soothe me, but this time around it didn't. I had felt horrible before, but the way I feel now
Chapter 6AliceWhat the hell was I expecting?I was so stupid to ever think he was going to choose me. I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling; my thoughts felt blank. I wasn't crying anymore or even confused like I was a couple of days back; right now I just felt... numb. At least I wasn't in pain anymore. My apartment was a mess, but no matter how hard I tried, leaving my bed felt impossible.I kept trying to convince myself that he was going to come or call, but he never did. I never should have slept with him that night. I missed my life; I missed going to work and coming back home. I missed how put together my life was; now I didn't have control over anything anymore. After lying on my back for hours, I got off my bed and decided to make something to eat. I hadn't eaten any proper food in almost a week. When I got to the kitchen, how messy my house was irritated me so much. I couldn't believe I was one of those people who let themselves go after a breakup.Oh, who am I kidding? W

Chapter 4AliceDean had called an emergency meeting and everyone was at the conference room panicking, wondering what the hell was happening. Whispers and murmurs filled the room. I did not say a single word. Everything felt suffocating and I just wanted this to be over with and let me get out of here.“Alice....”I turned to the direction where I just heard my name. It was Flora.“Hi,” I said awkwardly.“Are you okay?” Flora asked, tilting her head slightly.“Yeah, I'm fine,” I said quickly, ending the conversation before it even started.“Okay, so can I ask you a question?”“Sure.”“Who do you think is getting fired? Because whenever Dean calls for a meeting like this someone has messed up big time.”I smiled at her. Just because I work in the same office as him doesn't mean I know everything, but I'm not sure someone is getting fired.”Flora looked a little bit relieved, but no matter how I pretended not to care what this emergency meeting was for, I did. A lot. After a couple of
Chapter 3AliceI opened my eyes slowly. The light coming from the window was blinding. I looked over to the other side of the bed but Dean was already gone. Every part of my body ached, but the thought of last night only made me smile. It was so amazing and the fact that he was my first time made it even better.I got off the bed slowly. I looked around my room and there were no clothes on the ground, which was weird because I remembered him throwing every piece of clothing I had on to the ground.I got into my robe and went to the living room. Maybe he would be there. I wanted to see him again, but at the same time wouldn't it be weird? The living room was quiet. He was actually gone, but slowly my eyes landed on the kitchen table.I quickly walked there only to find a cup of coffee and some bacon and toast. Did he actually do this? It made me smile even harder. I sat down and as I ate I kept reminiscing about last night. Even if it was a one night stand, I didn't care. I would neve
Chapter 2AliceI pulled back so fast. What the hell was wrong with me? But before I could say a single word, his lips crashed on mine. His hand moved to my neck, pulling me closer as he kissed me breathless.I'd always fantasized what it would feel like to actually kiss him, but now I'd just realized that no fantasy could come close to how amazing this felt. His lips were so soft and the kiss wasn't gentle, but at the same time it wasn't rough. It was just perfectly in between and I felt in between my legs pulsing. His hand moved to my chest. I didn't know when a moan escaped my mouth. Dean pulled back as he began taking off his tie and his jacket.“There's.... something I need to tell you.” My voice was low, practically shaking. “I.....I have never done it with anyone before. Please be gentle.”He didn't say a word, just stared at me for a short moment and I was afraid I'd done something wrong. I should have just kept quiet and enjoyed the moment. I just had to open my loud mouth.H
