Chapter 22

Malakai waited for about 15 minutes until Alec's car pulled up beside him. He greeted Alec and got into the passenger seat.

"Eden really took your car huh?" Alec said while trying not to laugh.

"This isn't funny. You know I don't like anyone touching my car." Malakai said, rolling his eyes. His car was his prized possession and Eden just took the keys right out of his hands.

"I don't know if I can tell you about Eden. I mean it's really not my place, but she had an ex boyfriend that used to control her all the time, and would even abuse Eden. It was only mentally and verbally at the beginning but it became physical. He used to control what Eden would wear, where she would go, who she would do with. All down to what Eden would eat. She never left him because she was scared of what he would do, since he threatened a lot of things. In the end she did though, thanks to her cousin." Alec said.
