Chapter 4

Ashley POV

Drake and I are here now outside the venue, I agreed to talk to him because he doesn't seem to have any plans to stop so I just let him.

"So what do you want to say? Just hurry up so I can get back inside." I promise.

"You shouldn't have said that."

"Which?" I ask.

"To Sheila."

"So? You just talked to me to say that? I don't care because I'll say what I want to say and no one can stop me. I don't know why you're still defending him after what he did to you, I thought you want to get back at them." I promise.

"I love her, yes, and that's what I want if it happens, but I won't allow other people to tell her what to do."

"And it's okay for you to do this to others? I can't believe you! You're stupid." I know.

"If you can speak you think you haven't been stupid. I know if you're still hurt even after months have passed, you still haven't moved on with my brother. Even if you show you're over it and you're brave, I know if you're not" that's true.

I was silent for a moment before speaking again. "Life is really unfair, whoever loved the truth is still the one who got hurt." I promise.

"Part of love is being hurt, that's why you're hurt because you truly loved because if you didn't love that person, why would you be hurt, right?"

"That's why I will never love again. I would rather be alone than love a man who will only hurt you." I said.

"Don't talk about it Ashley, you can't say that because you can't stop yourself from loving someone else."

"Still, not anymore. I don't want it anymore. After what your brother did to me, do you think I can still trust the man. I know if I didn't fail him because I did everything but that's not it yet enough for him. I would prefer if he just told me the truth that he doesn't want me because I would accept that better than this. He is unfair because he is quick to move on and find someone else while I don't can't do it, I'm still left in pain." my answer.

"Moving on is not rushed, you have wounds Ashley and they need to heal first so you can be okay again. It takes time, just let it be and the day will come when you too will be okay without realizing it."

I looked at him, I can't believe that I'm talking to this man now and we're talking about his brother. I know if they have blood and I should distance myself from him because they have a connection with the person who hurt me but I think we both need each other right now.

We talked for a few more minutes until we decided to go back inside. After listening to the party, the two of us went out just to talk about useless things, but let it be. It was only an hour and the party ended immediately, Drake just took me to my room and he immediately said goodbye, so I just got dressed and then went to sleep because I felt tired.

The next day I woke up at noon and when I got up my phone rang so I answered it.

"Who is this?" I will ask.

"It's me Drake."

"And where did you get my number? I didn't know you were a stalker." I promise."

"Dream on baby, I have connections so I can do it."

"So what do you need?" I asked him.

"My brother invited me to have lunch so I called you."

"And you want me to come right?" I asked him.

"Yes."

"Alright. I'll just fix it." I said and hung up the call and then got up to take a shower.

Then if it's alright and just right Drake knocks. "Are you done?" he asked and I nodded.

"Are you sure it's okay for you to join me?" he asked me.

"What do you mean?" I will ask.

"About this, having lunch with your ex."

"Of course, I told you that I will help you right? We will wait for each other. We will play the games they wanted to play." I promise.

He nodded and we continued walking. When we got to a restaurant Drake grabbed my hand before we went inside. We saw Kevyn as he waved at his brother.

"So what happened to you? I think you asked me out all of a sudden?" Drake asked as we sat down.

"Let's eat first before such a thing."

We all agreed, we just ordered and it didn't take long for our food to arrive.

"I didn't know you and my brother would be Ash." Kevyn promised.

"And I didn't know that you and your brother Kevyn were going to be girlfriends." I replied auspiciously.

"There are a lot of men out there, but is it really Drake's?"

"And so? There are also many women there, why is it still his?" I pointed to the person next to him. The two of them are really fun to tease.

"Why not Ashley? I think I'm better than you." woman's groin.

"You think so? Those words are already scratched, you don't know how many times he said that to other women. You're just stupid." I know.

"You just can't accept that I'm the one Kevyn replaced you with!"

I laughed. "Stop saying that shit because you're acting like a fool. Don't compare me to you because it's far away. I'm not like you."

"You bitch!"

"I know it, I'm a bitch in a nice way not a bitch like you." I said

"Stop it Ashley!" Kevyn disobeyed.

"Why don't you stop your girlfriend, Kev? Let my girlfriend speak because she is telling the truth. It's better to silence that one." Drake promised.

"I can't believe you Drake! You know me better than that girl!" annoyed woman.

"And he agrees with what I am saying because he knows you. Do you think you are on his side? Don't show mercy in front of us because it doesn't suit you. Stop being pathetic!" I promise.

"Stop it girls! We were in front of the food and then you started fighting." Kevyn's groin made me cringe. You thought he was very determined.

No one said anything to us so we just ate, until now I still don't know why this idiot suddenly cheered. It seems that he has another plan, but he fought wrongly because I will not allow him to get what he wants.

"We need to go and we still have somewhere to go. Thank you for inviting us." Drake said after we finished eating.

"Why in a hurry bro?" Kevyn asked.

"You probably heard what I said, didn't you? My girlfriend and I are going somewhere." this is the answer so Kevyn looked at me.

"Y-yes, we have to go somewhere else." I promise.

I just let Drake pull me, I didn't even bother to look at the behavior of the two because I would just be annoyed by their faces.

"Are you okay?" he asked me when we got out.

"Sure, isn't it and you should be if I ask that." I asked back to him.

"I'm fine, I'm only worried about you because you don't seem to be fine."

"Why would I? I told you I can handle myself." I know.

He shrugged his shoulders.

We decided to go to the mall and have shopping, it's good that he accompany me without saying anything. I must say that Drake is different from Kevyn even though they're brothers.

I can't help but to still think Kevyn even though were already over for a month now. I admit that I still love him, we've been in a relationship for almost 3 years and it's not easy to move on like what he did. But I believe that sooner I will be okay. I just need to accept the fact and move forward to be the better person. He has always have a part in my life that I will treasure.
