Chapter 17.17

 Jessa’s POV

Ugh! I groan loudly as I try to step out of bed.

I look at my bedside clock and I cannot believe it is already four o’clock in the evening.

Yesterday was really hectic and I cannot blame my body for wanting some extra rest.

With some determination, I force myself out of the bed and decide to take a quick shower.

 I step into the bathroom and do all my business and just as I step out of the bathroom, I hear a knock on my door. 

I ask who it is and the reply I get is not what I would have ever expected.

'Hey Jessa, it is me.’ is the short reply I get for my question. 

I know whom that voice belongs to but I still ask the person's name just to make sure my ear is not failing me.

'It is your best friend, Halley' is the unexpected answer I get. 

I want to correct this woman she is no more my best frie
