MasukNora Pov
.
"What?" I questioned, looking at him, widening my eyes.
"Don't look at me with so much love," he laughed and pulled me closer. I turned my head away in disgust, trying to yank my hand free and shove him away, but he was far stronger than I expected.
"Your parents were cruel." I glared at him for uttering rubbish.
"Don't say a word against my parents." Tears streamed down my face, even when I was trying my best not to cry in front of him. "You're his brother... How could you kill him?"
"They deserve it," he said calmly, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Don't touch me," I growled and looked into his eyes to convey I'm not scared of him even when my body was shivering with fear.
"Why are you getting angry?” he chuckled. “Your parents were devils who ruined many lives."
"Yeah, and you're the most amazing person in the world," I mocked, laughing bitterly to show him I don't believe a single word he uttered.
"I never said I was a saint," he laughed. "I wanted the throne, but your father never let me shine. He snatched everything from me because he was stronger, and today I snatched everything from him because I'm smarter." He smirked and held my jaw, turning my face towards the crowd.
“They all hated your parents for what they were. I simply used their hatred to my advantage and killed them.” He paused, then spun me back to face him. “But do you know I was the one who pushed the maid so that water spilled on your dress? It was my idea.”
I narrowed my eyes, trying to figure out where this conversation was going.
“Want to know why?” he asked.
I started struggling to free myself and get away from this monster and kill him, but his grip was tight and firm.
"Because I love you, darling. From the moment you hit teenage age, I wanted to have you."
"You jerk!" I slapped him hard across his face, but soon I regretted it when I saw his expression, and fear gripped my soul.
His eyes darkened, and before I could react, he slapped me back, sending me crashing to the ground. That was when I realized my biggest mistake—I had bruised his ego.
"You bitch," he kneeled and yanked my hair back, making me scream as pain ripped through my scalp.
"It seems like her parents didn't teach her how to behave, but don't worry—I will." He grinned and made me stand forcefully, holding my hair. Before I could do something or protest, he ripped the sleeves of my gown with his claws, making me gasp in shock.
I immediately clutched the top of my dress before it could slip down and humiliate me in front of everyone. The very thought of it sent terror straight into my soul.
He laughed at my fear while I stood frozen, unable to speak. Grabbing my arm roughly, he started dragging me toward a room. Panic surged through me, and I bit his hand before shoving him away.
"Dare you to touch me!" I shouted, breathing heavily and holding my gown with one hand. I wanted to kill him, but I had no power to do so. He started laughing before grabbing my hair again and yanking my head back.
"Ahh!" I whimpered, struggling to free myself from his grip.
"I always wanted to make you mine, and today I will," he smirked, trailing his lips along my neck.
"Alpha." Sebastian stopped and turned to look at the beta of the pack; Kevin called him.
"You know the rules have changed now. After the Alpha's demise, no one can become an Alpha of the pack until he or she proves to be worthy of it. You're on a trial period for two months, and you will get the crown only after the Lycan King crowns you with the title and gives you a throne," Beta Kevin reminded Sebastian.
"I suggest you be careful because if the Alpha of the Red Moon pack finds out that you forced yourself on Princess Nora, he won't take it lightly. First, you need to get the throne permanently; after that, you can do whatever you want with her." He bowed his head.
The Red Moon pack is the biggest in the werewolf world ruled by the Lycan King himself.
“I heard the Lycan King is a ruthless alpha; why would he care about anyone?” I thought, then shook my head. I don't care whether he will help me or not, but right now, Kevin's warning worked in my favor. I could figure something out in the meantime.
"Fine… throw her into her room and keep her locked there. I’ll mark her the day after my crowning ceremony. Until then, no one speaks of today. If a single word gets out, you’ll answer me." Sebastian imposed the Alpha command. A maid came and grabbed my arm harshly, dragging me towards the maid's quarters and pushing me into one of the rooms. Tears streamed down my face.
"Change your dress," the maid hissed and threw a dress at my face before leaving the room.
It was a dark room. Sunlight from the glass window and a small bulb were lighting it. There was a small bed and a table on the side along with a few things.
I looked at the dress and quickly changed into it, not wanting anyone to see me in the ripped gown, which was almost falling from my body.
"No... I won't let that monster mark me. I won't," I screamed and picked the vase kept on the side table and threw it on the wall.
“Mark me? No… You will die with my hand, Sebastian.” I screamed, throwing things around.
After destroying the entire room, I sat on the ground, breathing heavily. I even broke the table kept on the side.
Slowly, my rage crumbled, and tears rolled from my eyes.
I kept bawling my eyes out until it started hurting and my body hit with exhaustion. I wiped my tears and pinched myself trying to stay conscious.
My eyes got swollen, and it's been so long since I've been locked inside that I've lost count of time.
I blinked hard, but then my body gave up; I went unconscious for who knows how many hours.
I squirmed when I felt water droplets over my face and a slap on my cheek.
"Wake up." A kick in my stomach jolted me fully awake. I groaned and opened my eyes, only to find two women standing in front of me. There was an injection in one woman's hand.
"Hold her... I will give her wolfsbane," one ordered the other. My eyes shot up, realizing what they were up to. My wolf will get active at night, and they are making sure it won't happen.
"Leave me," I scream, struggling to free myself from the hold of the women, but like a fool, I drained all my energy in crying. I hardly have any strength to even keep my eyes open.
"Arghh," I groaned when another woman injected me with wolfsbane.
"Open her mouth, Sia," she ordered the woman holding me.
"What are you doing?" I asked in fear and shook my head when she held my jaw.
"Don't be stubborn and open your mouth if you don't want me to break it," Sia growled and slapped me before pulling my hair harshly. Tears rolled from my eyes.
My throat burned as they forcibly made me swallow something. Two warriors standing at the door rushed in and held me down. I screamed, kicking my legs and struggling to free my hands, but nothing worked.
Sia kept her hand on my throat and pressed it lightly towards the downward, forcing me to swallow it. The woman who came with Sia pinched my nose, breaking the source of my life.
"Swallow or die," she growled. I swallowed, and burning pain shot through my entire body. Sia left me, and her master kicked me on the stomach, making me scream in pain.
“Arghh!” A painful growl tore from my throat, filling the room as they laughed at my agony.
"We gave her wolfsbane, so why these herbs, Madam Georgia?" Sia asked, her voice soft and respectful, making sure she didn't offend Georgia even by mistake.
"She had royal pure blood. Daughter of two Alphas. Once she gets her wolf, she will hold the power of destroying the entire pack single-handedly, and we can't risk it," Georgia answered and looked at me with a pleasant smile after seeing me screaming and crying in agony.
"This wolfsbane will forbid her wolf to come out, and these herbs will impure her blood. It will decrease her strength and snatch her powers." Georgia smirked and looked at Sia.
"So then if ever she got Wolf by chance, it wouldn't be strong enough to fight... lol... it wouldn't even be able to stay in wolf form longer," she said, and the room filled with evil laughter and my agony cries.
"Alpha wants to make her his queen." Sia shook her head in disappointment.
"I don't understand what he saw in her." Georgia lifted her nose in disgust. "But don't worry, I will convince him to make her his mistress. Your queen will be me only."
"You deserve it." Sia bowed her head. Georgia looked impressed at her reaction while I scoffed, thinking of her grim future.
"Let's go... She is not worth our time." Georgia grunted and left the room while her minions followed her. My screams of pain filled the room. My entire body was burning because of the wolfsbane and the potion they fed me.
Nora's Pov.Things were going smoothly. I was taking my training seriously and learning with every passing day, while Nash made sure I gave it my all. He never let me have a moment's peace. For the next ten days, Nash made me climb every kind of tree in the forest at least five times a day. By nightfall, I was so exhausted that I fell asleep the moment I lay down.He was getting harder on me day by day. He told me to climb a tree in five minutes, which was next to impossible, but he hates excuses. He wants me to try and learn, and I do what he says. His ways are getting stricter, and I know he won't stop until I become a fabulous warrior or maybe until I die. At least that's what I think. Who knows after my death he might torment my soul for training. He wasn't wrong when he said people called him ruthless on the training field. They had every reason to.He wanted me to become an Alpha no one could defeat, but at this rate, I'd become a ghost before I ever became one. After ten days
Nash's Pov .I swallowed hard when I felt her soft fingers over my lips, and then I froze when I saw her expression. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I realized what nonsense I'd just spouted. I gently took hold of her wrist and lowered her hand before taking a step back."I didn't mean it that way," I mumbled and averted my gaze. My heart was thumping heavily against my ribs."Whatever," she said and rushed towards the lake. A laugh escaped my lips as I watched her practically run away from me. After a minute, when she didn't return, I turned and found her washing the clothes she was wearing. I didn't stop her. I just stared...There was something in her that gave me strange relief... Relief from all the pain I was enduring silently. She was clearly an escape for me, and I didn't like it, knowing in the end, she would be shattered because of me.I will destroy her. After washing clothes, she walked towards me. There was a smile on her lips, which unsettled me.Two days before, after l
Nora's Pov."I--- I was joking," I said and laughed like a maniac, trying to save face.My eyes went to Daniel, who was looking at me with an open mouth, still shocked that I said those words. "Close your mouth, Daniel. I don't want you to eat mosquitoes," I said and again laughed awkwardly. He closed his mouth but was still staring at me as if I'd grown another head.My fake smile vanished, and my face turned pale when I turned my gaze to Nash, who was glaring at me, clenching his jaw."I think I should go," I said, and picked my clothes from the ground before running in the direction of the lake.I walked as fast as I could, taking long strides. I didn't stop until I reached the lake.I placed my hands on my waist and stared at my reflection in the water as I struggled to catch my breath. I'd been so afraid of him that I hadn't stopped running even once."Spoiled brat." My eyes shot up when I heard Nash's voice. I turned and bumped into his chest."Ahh!" I screamed as I lost my bal
Nora's Pov.Sleep was far away from my eyes. After half an hour, I looked down. Nash was sitting beside the fire, looking at the flames... His face remained blank, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. His shoulders seemed unusually tense. His jaw tightened for a split second before relaxing again."Sleep, Nora." I flinched, hearing his harsh voice."Trying," I groaned and lay down again.I squirmed as patches of sunlight filtered through the leaves and danced across my face, making it impossible to stay asleep. I groaned as I opened my eyes, rubbing my face with my cold hands. I had hardly slept for some hours.I wondered where they had gone.I stretched my arms and yawned before climbing down. I looked around to see Nash, but he was nowhere in sight; even Daniel was missing."Did they both leave me alone?" My pulse stumbled at the mere thought. Panic clawed at my chest as I frantically searched for them. After walking for half an hour, I finally heard their voi
Nora's Pov.After a long silence, Nash extended his hand towards me. I knitted my brows in confusion."What?" I asked. He clicked his tongue and took my hands in his."Why can't you trust me and do so without questioning?" He guided my hands closer to the warmth of the fire. "As expected, they are cold." "I can't trust anyone anymore... not after the people I trusted turned against me," I said, freeing my hand from his."Fine... But at least warm your hands." I nodded and kept my hand near the fire to warm them up.I bit my lower lip as my gaze fell on his hand, noticing that the cut on his palm was still fresh. The cut he'd made out of guilt for slapping me.He didn't let the wound heal."Stop punishing yourself," I said, looking at his hand. His brows arched."Huh?""Stop cutting your palm again and again. It wasn't your fault.""It was my fault... I shouldn't have raised my hand on you," he said, bowing his head in guilt."I guess I deserved that for proposing such a stupid deal."
Nora's Pov."No... Please no... Please save them... Please… Mom ... Dad," I screamed and opened my eyes. I looked around, but all I saw was darkness. I closed my eyes for a moment, then opened them again, hoping to see them so I could save them."Mom... Dad," I called for them in the hope of getting a response, but nothing came."Nora?" I looked around when I heard my name. I touched the surface I was sitting on and realized it was covered with leaves."Looked down," I frowned and looked down."Daniel," I whispered his name when I found him sitting near a bonfire. The light from the fire was falling on her face."My mom... Dad," I clamped up when he shook his head."You must have had a nightmare of the past." My heart clenched at his words as reality sank in.It was a glimpse of the past... My parents are no longer with me, and I'm in the forest."Want to come down?" He asked. "Yeah," I mumbled. He picked up a dry stick from the ground, lit it, and held it up like a torch, illuminat
Nora Pov's.I was breathing heavily because of fear and our closeness. Nash's intense gaze was not helping at all. I gulped and tried to move back, but a big tree behind me blocked my path. I tried to move past him, but he braced his hands against the tree on either side of me, trapping me between
Nora Pov's .I cried and screamed in agony as my wolf growled inside me, making my head feel like it was about to explode."You need to calm yourself," I heard Nash's voice. He was talking to my wolf, who growled at him in response."I don't know the reason behind your anger, but give her a chance
Nora Pov.I was sitting in the corner of my room. One of my legs was tied with a silver chain attached to the bed leg. From the nearby glass window, I could see the moon glowing. My tears dried after a painful month in a cage. Georgia wasn't lying when she told everyone she would convince Sebasti
