. I was crying and screaming in pain as my wolf growled, making my head feel like it would explode. "You need to calm yourself," I heard Nash's voice. He was talking to my wolf, who growled at him in response. "I don't know the reason behind your anger, but give her a chance to explain herself before punishing her. It's not fair to punish someone without giving them a chance to prove themself." He muttered and took a step closer to us. My wolf glared at him until he placed his hand on her back and gently caressed her. Suddenly, everything went silent, and she calmed down. She licked Nash’s face like a loyal wolf, as if moments ago she hadn’t wanted to harm him or kill me. "Go through her memories and then decide whether she’s guilty or not," Nash whispered lovingly into her ear. She nodded and gave me control back, something I wasn’t prepared for. Before my na*ed body could fall to the ground, he caught me in his arms. Tears rolled down my cheeks. "It's okay... I've got you," Nash said, hugging me. I hid my face in his chest, shivering and crying. "Why? Why is this happening to me?" I sobbed. He caressed my hair. “Can anything get worse than this? My wolf hates me and wants to kill me,” I whimpered. He shook his head and held my chin to make me look at him. “No… she doesn’t hate you. I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding. Golden wolves don’t lose their calm easily, and if they do, there’s always a big reason behind it.” I looked at him with teary eyes, and that’s when I noticed he was fully dressed—unlike me. Even his face was covered by a mask. I felt my cheek burn with embarrassment. “When did you put your clothes on?” I asked, squirming in his arms as I realised I was naked. It’s common for werewolves to be naked after transitioning, but this was my first time, and it made me feel terrible. All I wanted to hide was myself. I wrapped one arm around my upper body and kept the other between my legs, trying to hide my private parts from him. He noticed my discomfort and stepped away to remove his shirt. “I have a royal wolf, which is why I returned to the same form after the transition. In short, my clothes and mask were intact even after my wolf took over," he explained while making me wear his shirt. “You had a royal wolf?” I asked in disbelief, and in response, he hummed, wiping the sweat from my forehead with his handkerchief. My heartbeat rose with his simple gesture. “Who are you?” I asked, looking into his eyes, deep like the ocean. He smiled in response and kissed my forehead, then maintained a little distance between us. “You should first talk to your wolf and ask her why she’s mad at you,” he said.. I nodded, understanding he didn't want to share anything about himself. “I don’t know a single thing about this man, but I don’t know why I feel I can trust him with my eyes closed. Is he my fated mate?" I thought, looking at the man who was helping me when my people ditched me. "No, he is not our mate," my wolf replied. My heart skipped a beat when I heard her voice. It's going to take me time to get used to it. I gulped and nodded, before looking back at Nash. I sighed realising the hope to have someone to call my own was broken. "Why are you mad at me?" I asked my wolf, focusing on the matter at hand. "Because you took wolfsbane just when I was born.” she hissed in disappointment, then growled in anger. “The Moon Goddess gave me a human like you who doesn't even want me." I shook my head and tightened my fist, trying to stay calm after hearing her accusation. "No... It's a misunderstanding. I didn't take wolfsbane. Someone else gave it to me forcefully so that you wouldn't appear and heal me. That woman wanted to kill me." telling her everything about how my parents were killed, what everyone in the pack did afterward, and what my uncle was planning to do with me. "I'm sorry, you went through so much and I reacted that way," my wolf apologised and healed all my wounds. “It seems like everything is resolved between you and your wolf now,” Nash said with a breathtaking smile on his face. "Yeah" "What is her name?" Nash asked and then looked behind me. I scrunched my eyebrows and turned to see what he was looking at but found no one. "My name is Daisy," My wolf said. I looked back at Nash. "Daisy," I replied to his question. "Such a beautiful name," Nash complimented Daisy, making her blush. "Thank you," I muttered. “You’re welcome,” he replied and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. My heart missed a beat with his simple gesture. Suddenly, his expression turned stern. He turned and looked at his friend, who nodded. I don’t know why, but I had a feeling that things were not as simple as they looked. These people are not helping me out of generosity. “You’re feeling like this because of the betrayal of your pack members, but not everyone is cruel, Nora,” Daisy said in a soft tone. I didn’t reply and kept watching Nash, who had no expression on his face. Not to mention, he was still hiding his face from me like a coward. “No… I can’t put her life at risk,” Nash growled at his friend, making me jump at his sudden reaction. He turned his head towards me. "What happened?" I asked, my heart pounding in my chest when I noticed the evil smirk on his friend's face. I gulped and stood up. "Nothing," Nash snarled and stood up. I quickly stepped away from him in fear. He raised an eyebrow at my action. "Nash—" Before his friend could say something, Nash shook his head. “No… she is of no use… It’s better if we send her away,” Nash said sternly. My eyes shot up when I heard what they were planning to do. "You're not thinking rationally," his friend grunted. Nash turned towards him. They both started arguing, forgetting I was still standing there. “Why are you standing like a statue? Didn’t you hear what they’re planning to do with you?” Daisy’s voice brought me back to the world otherwise, my fear would have almost paralysed me. "Huh?" I frowned. "Run, idiot... He just said that he wanted to send us away, which means away from this earth. He is planning to murder us, Nora." She panicked, snatching the ground from beneath my feet. My eyes widened when I realised what was happening. I quickly stepped away from Nash. "Run!" Daisy growled. I picked up speed and ran as fast as I could but destiny wasn't in my favour. Nash noticed my absence and started chasing me. I hid behind a tree and closed my eyes, taking deep breaths. “You really thought you could run away from me, little dove?” My eyes shot up when I heard Nash's voice, only to find him standing in front of me, wearing an evil smirk on his face which was enough to tell me that my end was not far.Nora Pov's.I was looking at Nash with hatred when my eyes fell on the person standing behind him."George," I whispered. Nash frowned and covered his face with the mask again before turning to look at the Beta of my pack.“Who is he?” Daniel asked, stepping beside Nash. From the way they stood together, I could tell they were best friends."Beta of my–" I fell silent, realising this pack was no longer mine."What do you want?" Nash asked George."I mean no harm... I just want the girl standing behind you," George answered, shrugging his shoulders as if it wasn't some big deal. Nash and Daniel looked at each other. I clutched Nash’s shirt in fear. He glanced at me before turning to George."Why?" Nash asked in a stern tone as he stepped in front of me, shielding me behind his giant body."Our Alpha is searching for her." Tears brimmed in my eyes when George referred to Uncle Sebastian as his Alpha. It was my dad who deserved that title, not that a**hole."Searching for her?" Nash fr
Nora Pov's.I was breathing heavily because of fear and our closeness. The intense gaze of Nash was not helping at all. I gulped and tried to move back, but a big tree behind me blocked my path. I tried to run away from the side, but he placed his hand on both sides of me, caging me between his giant body and the tree. My heart missed a beat when he removed his mask. He was so handsome and smart… Everything about him was enough to make any girl fall for him and even die to make him fall in love with her.I forgot to breathe for a moment when I noticed every perfect feature of his face. His deep ocean eyes, sexy lips and perfect jawline… I'm sure the Moon Goddess must have taken a long time and great focus to create him."Take a breath, human. Are you planning to die?" Daisy chuckled, bringing me out of my thoughts."Na---Nash," I stuttered, feeling butterflies in my stomach… His closeness made it impossible for me to think rationally."Shh," he hushed me. I shivered when he slamme

Nora Pov's . I opened my eyes when sunlight disturbed my sleep, feeling immense pain in my head. "Ahh," I whimpered and sat up straight. “She’s awake.” Someone’s voice jolted me from my sleepy state. I looked to my side, only to find two strangers sitting at a distance, watching me. Their faces were covered by black masks. "Who are you?" I asked, then looked around, only to realise I was somewhere in the middle of the forest. Sweat covered my body as anxiety gripped my soul. I took a deep breath and rubbed my hands together, trying to stay calm. “What am I doing here?” I asked, touching the back of my head and whined in pain. "Ahh... it's hurting," I mumbled. "That woman hit you pretty badly. It took my friend a long time to bandage all your wounds." The one who had announced I was awake spoke while his friend silently stared at me... I narrowed my eyes. "A woman?" I whispered. My eyes shot open as I recalled everything that had happened the night before. "My... My par--pare
Nora Pov . "What?" I questioned, looking at him, widening my eyes. "Don't look at me with so much love," he laughed and pulled me closer. I turned my head in another direction with disgust, trying to free my hand from his grip or push him away but he was stronger than I thought. "Your parents were cruel." I glared at him for uttering rubbish. "Don't say a word against my parents." Tears streamed down my face, even when I was trying my best not to cry in front of him. "You're his brother... How could you kill him?" I asked, still in shock. "They deserve it," he said calmly, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Don't touch me," I growled and looked into his eyes to convey I'm not scared of him despite the fact that my body was shivering with fear. "Why are you getting angry?” he chuckled. “Your parents were devils who ruined many lives" "Yeah and you're the most amazing person in the world," I mocked, laughing bitterly to show him I don't believe a single word he uttered.
Nora Pov . "Ohh My My... Look at our princess," my mom complimented me as I entered the hall where we were celebrating my upcoming 18th birthday. At midnight, I would get my wolf. The biggest day of every werewolf's life. "She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen," my dad said, extending his hand towards me. "I mean– after you," dad muttered, looking at my mom who was glaring at him. I chuckled seeing their cute and lovable chemistry. I want to have the same bond with my mate. I hold my dad's hand with a big smile on my face. "Let's go... Everyone is waiting for us at the dining table" He said, straightening his back. I nodded and looked ahead, stepping toward a new chapter of my life—though somewhere deep inside I know that something big is about to happen that's going to change my life forever. We joined everyone at the dining table. As Dad said everyone was waiting for us. My parents gave a wonderful speech for me that made my day even more special. Soon, dinner was
