“Look!! He’s walking!!”

Henry turned around as we watched our first child begin his journey of walking across the floor of our little cottage.

“Oh, William!!” Henry wanted desperately to scoop our little boy into his arms and cuddle him, but he didn’t. We watched in awe as he made his way across the room and laughed when he tumbled onto the carpet.

“We’re so proud of you!!” I squealed, making our son mimic me.

“He is strong already.”

“So is she..” I pointed to my stomach, “I cannot believe we’re going to have two under two!”

“We can survive it, my love..”

“If I can survive you, I can survive anything.”

Henry laughed, “Touche..”

We had made it—we’d done it together.

It took some time to get to know each other again, but not to love.

We loved like we depended on it and we truly did.

My bride became a teacher—a wonderful Luna in my pack—who was always giving more of herself than anyone I knew.

My construction company boomed—and even Atticus, the one who had written on those cave walls came calling for some work which I accepted pro bono.

All of them who’d saved us, fought for us—they were now our extended family.

My parents spoiled William and were in a race with Molly’s parents to spoil William and little Wanda, who was now growing inside of Molly’s beautiful belly.

I still bullied her, but in fun.

She gave it right back to me and the makeup sex was more than I could ask for.

I loved him, honored and cherished him.

He did the same for me and I must admit: I started fights just to see him worked up and have his way with me.

That’s how we ended up with William and now our little girl who was due any day.

Ann was a brilliant healer in her family and we saw her every now and again—especially when she met up with Lori and Logan—who’d married and had triplets within two years of their marriage.

Claudius found his love in a beta named Betty and it was an honor to be a part of their wedding.

The witches never returned—the Drifters stayed to themselves—and our packs united for the greater good.

“I love you, little guy,” I heard Henry say as he took William out of my arms, “Let’s let Mama rest.”

I watched my men retreat to the kitchen where Henry made lunch, cooing and talking to William about how much he loved me, him, his little sister.

I couldn’t have asked for a better mate and even though it felt like we’d only been out in the cave and cabin for a few days—the months we were there made us—it never broke us.

No, we were too strong for that.

“I can’t wait for tonight..” Henry linked me, his naughty thoughts lingering in my mind, “I am going to tie you up, spank that ass, pull your hair...”

“Good, because I intend on letting you bully me all night long, my big, bad Alpha..”
