Chapter 21

Doubt

I SMILED at mommy as I approached where she was standing by the side of the big door of our house.

"Hi, Mom." I kissed her cheek.

"How was your first day at work, darling?"

"It's fine, mom. I'm still adjusting right now but no worries because our employees are always been good to me,"

"I'm glad to hear that, dear. Oh, anyway, I baked some cookies, your favorite. Wanna try it?"

"Oh, I love it, mom. It's perfect cause I'm really tired from a long day's work."

"Let's go inside and you get changed your clothes now. So that you can have a snack right away,"

After I got dressed, I immediately went down to the kitchen. There I saw mommy and the two of our maids.

The four of us had a good time. Mom and I always allowed them to eat with us. Our kind helper is no different from us, and mommy is pleased to have someone to talk to while we are eating.

After we had a snack we went to the veranda of our house.
