"I dont like her" Mama Mo said, "Why you keep her around?". Just as I was thinking of a polite answer, she raised her hand and said "Nevermind, I think I know but I dont want to hear it. Get to work, NOW!"

Ethan and I looked at her with a smile and said "Yes Mama!" at the same time. Riding off to work.

FEW HOUR LATER

We get off work after doing two different P.I jobs and head to my house, already knowing what I'm going to wear, I go to my closet and pull out some dark grey jeans and a black shirt,with my black jordans. I lay it on my bed, walking over to my dresser and opening the top drawer grabbing some socks and boxers. I place them by my clothes on my bed and go take a quick shower.

While in the shower, my mind is running about what Ethan said to me at breakfast, 'Someone going to come along and change your life'. Im not going to lie and say I don't want someone to, because I do. I want to meet someone that will love me for me and get to know the real me and not just come around because I have money. I'm a millionaire. My father owed his own company just before he died. He left everything to me. But nobody could really tell I'm rich by the way I dress and stuff. I don't wear fancy clothes. All the girls I meet, only want one thing from me, which you probably already know 'SEX' and 'MONEY'.

I want to meet someone who will love me, who will deal with my flaws and past. Because I have a cazy past. I want someone to see me for me. I might sound like a wimp but who doesn't want someone like that. Im just slowly start to lose hope though. Im 28 years old and nothing has happened. As my mind was running, I hear a knock on my door, of course I already knew who it was, 'Ethan'.

"Hurry up, I'm trying to drink" He yells on the other side of the door.

"Okay fool, give me ten minutes and ill be ready." I yell back at him.

I get out the shower and get dress. Heading downstairs, I grab my leather jacket and put it on.

"Finally!" He rolls his eyes and walk out the door.

"Just finally, not that I look good or nothing" I joked around.

"Boy Bye" He said and I start laughing.

As we pull up to the club, theres a line that goes all the way around the corner. When I seen that, I turned away back to my bike.

"Where you going Kai?" Ethan asked.

"Im not waiting in this long ass line just to get in a club!" I stated, pointing at the line.

He starts laughing and I look at him with a weird face. "Whats funny?"

"Your funny! Do you really think we would be waiting in line, come on, really?" He said while still laughing.

Seeing him walk away towards the entrance, he shake hands with a tall muscular guy. He has his back to me so I cant see his face. As Ethan is speaking to him like he knew the guy, the man turns around and starts laughing, as I get a glance of who it is, I hop off the bike.

"So you just going to stand there and not speak to an old friend Kai?" The man spoke.

"Oh Shit, Ray?" I stared.

"What you doing here? Last time I saw you, you were leaving to New York with your new wife! Which was like 5 years ago! Hows that going?" I said while Grabbing his hand and pulling him into a hug.

"We good, we just moved back so she can be closer to her parent with our daughter!" He said with a huge smile plastered on his face.

"Daughter?" I gasped when I said that because as long as I knew ray, I never imagined him having kids. He was always the one sleeping around, and breaking girls heart. He was a wild man back in the day.

"Yea, a little girl. She a few months old now. My greatest blessing." He said with the smile still on his face.

"Well congrats on the new family, I'm happy for you. But what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Ethan didn't tell you? This my club."

I gasp and said "So you finally did it, you opened a club just like you always wanted! Thanks amazing, I'm proud of you dude."

"Thanks man, Why don't yall go up to VIP and drinks are on me tonight." He said waving one of his Bouncer over that was by the entrance. Whispering in his ear, then the bouncer nod his head and said "This way." I looked at Ray and he said "Follow him, he gonna get y'all situated with a booth upstairs. Have fun tonight and it was good to see yall. Make sure yall find me later so we can plan to get together and hang, have a boys night like we use to."

Me and Ethan nodded our heads and walked inside. Once we were inside, it got dark and all you seen was mirrors in the hallway with red and green flashing lights. Hearing the music blasting and opening the door to go upstairs through the vip section, I look down and see people dancing, chilling, flirting and kissing. Enjoying their night, but as I'm glancing around, I see the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Leaning against the bar in a Red dress with Long charcoal wavy hair, About 5'6" tall, Curves in the right places and beautiful honey hazel eyes, white pearly teeth and beautiful honey skin and she is just laughing away. I knew right then and there, I want her.

NO, I NEEDED HER.

FLASHBACK

                               

AVIANA POV (Age 10)

                               

It has been 2 days since I've seen my parent, since these bruises appeared on my arms and legs. That right, My parents hate me. They abuse me. Not seeing them for 2 days was normal. They're druggies and forget about me all the time. I was use to it.

                               

By the time I was 8, I knew how to make spaghetti by myself. I knew how to boil water and make me noodles, box mac and cheese and many other things. I was left to fend for myself. If there wasnt any food in the house, I would have to steal at a store, and trust me, I got really good at that. Its not something I was proud about, but it was something I needed to do, to survive.

                               

But if I would of stole food and cooked and it wasn't enough for my parents, I would get beaten. I remember one time I got beated so bad that I was unconscious for 2 days. Waking up in a hospital was something I was use to. My parents would dress up in their 'Good Clothes' and make up the most crazy stories and of course the doctors believed them. They would sneak in my hospital room and make me rehearse my story before the doctors came in to talk to me alone. If it matched, they would turn a close eye. Letting me walk back into the demons hands. I always wanted to tell the truth but I was a scared and weak kid.

                               

My father wasn't my biggest fan, he would beat me non stop over the smallest things. Come in my room late at night and do things I didn't approve of. I was his favorite girl at night and most hated child during the day. Trying to hide from him before he came, only made things harder. He would slap me across my face, just because I wasnt in bed when he came in at night. I told my mother but of course she believed him and I got a beating of my life for 'lying' on my lovely father.

                               

"You are nothing, you are worthless" My mother would say to me everyday.

                               

"You are a disappointment, You are ugly" She would spit in my face.

                               

"You deserve every beating, you are a crying little weak bitch." That was her favorite saying. I always believed it because I didnt deserve to live. I didnt deserve to be happy. I was a burden and a disappointment.

                               

But that all changed a month before my 11th birthday. When I met my angel, my hero, My grandmother.

                               

I haven't seen my parent in two days, I couldnt leave or barely walk because my arms and legs were sore from the beating I got 3 days ago. She knocked on the door and I didnt open it at first because I'm not allowed to open the door for anybody.

                               

"Anthony, it's your mother, can you open the door please?" the lady said.

                               

"My parents not home, I cant open the door for anybody." I said.

                               

"Aviana? Is that you baby?" How did she know my name I thought. Just as I thought of asking she said "Im your grandmother darling. Why dont you open up so I can see you?" I didn't want to because I knew I would get a beaten if my parents knew.

                               

"I cant, I will get in a lot of trouble." I said.

                               

"Its okay, how about you open the door and I dont tell them. I just want to see you."

                               

"I dont know if I should?" I questioned myself.

                               

"How about you unlock the door, and I come in, so technically you didn't let me in, I let myself in." She said to me, making me think she was right.

                               

"Okay, but you have to promise not to tell my daddy because he will get really angry at me."

                               

"I promise."
