I watched as Xavier dropped the call and began typing on his phone.

I had a bad premonition.

"What's the issue? Did something happen at work?" I asked curiously.

Xavier shook his head. He looked into my eyes and his lips pressed into a thin line. "It's about you." He mumbled

"About me?" I was surprised.

What could it be?

"Tell me," I said.

Xavier's eyes flickered with anger. His soft expression turned into coldness, and his jaw clenched. "Someone revealed that you got pregnant without marriage." He mumbled.

His tone was low and filled with worry.

He held my hand and squeezed gently. "I told you this because I know you are strong." He said.

Looking into his eyes, I could see the immense sincerity in them, which surprisingly distracted my thoughts from the reveal online.

The corners of my lips pulled up in a soft smile, and I patted the hand that held mine. "Hm. I'm fine." I nodded.
