CHAPTER 18: PAIN

REAH'S POV 

"Why do you have to be so cruel? Why are you so wicked, Xavier?" I cried bitterly, forcing myself to look at him. 

The pain was already making my body go numb. My head was aching badly and my breathing was haggard. My entire body hurt as if I had been hit several times. Was this the power of Alphas?

"Did you not make a meticulous plan to marry me? Not only did you force me to sleep with you, You even tricked my mother and made her force our marriage. What were you expecting? That I would treat a witch like you properly and make you my woman?" His voice was menacing and I felt more pain in my body as he said those words. 

"I didn't do anything. I'm not a witch either," I cried. "You already checked me and found no mark on me. Why do you still think that I'm a witch?" I questioned, wiping the tears that threatened to enter my mouth. 

Alpha Xavier sneered, his gaze as cold as ever and waved his hand. Immediately, I was thrown to the side and hit the ground forcefully. I groaned in pain and bit my lower lip to stop myself from screaming. 

"Stand up, strip and get in bed. I want to sleep," His words rang in my head. 

He was speaking to my head again. 

With no strength to reject him, I stood up slowly from the ground and walked over to him. When I got closer to the bed, I removed the robe, exposing my naked self in front of him again. 

I climbed the bed and knelt beside him "What should I do?" I asked, my eyes fixed on his erected dick again. Could it be that he wanted me to suck him again?

I was no longer in the mood to do that. I could feel a faint sharp pain in my stomach and I felt a little sick too. I just wanted to lay in bed and sleep for the day~

"Lie in bed," He ordered. 

I felt confused and wondered why he wanted me to sleep instead but then again, wasn't it a good thing?

Without asking any questions, I lay in bed and closed my eyes. I pulled the duvet, attempting to cover my body when I felt him snatch it away from me and he threw it back. Before I could ask for the reason, his large hands covered my breast and my eyes widened. 

He pressed hard on it, making me yelp in pain. His fingers moved to my nipple and he pressed on it again, sending pain through my body. 

Alpha Xavier's touch wasn't gentle, all I could feel was pain as he pressed and squeezed my breasts. When I could no longer take it, I closed my eyes and bit my lower lip until it started bleeding. 

Soon, his hand suddenly stopped. Even though the hand still covered my breast, it no longer moved at all and I breathed softly. I opened my eyes to see the situation, only to realize that he had slept off. 

I let out a deep breath, feeling a little relieved as I closed my eyes again. I was extremely tired, my entire body was exhausted and before I knew it, I slept off.

A cheerful young girl was playing in a backyard when she suddenly saw smoke coming from a storeroom not far from her. She dropped the stick in her hand and rushed toward the storeroom. 

"Don't go there, Reah" An older woman called after her. She seemed very scared as she rushed after her. 

The young girl looked at the woman with teary eyes. "Aunt, I saw a very handsome brother enter that place earlier. He didn't come out, he must still be inside. I need to save him," The girl cried and increased her pace. 

The woman tried to catch her but the little girl was faster and soon, she pushed the burning door open. Without hesitation, the little girl ran into the fire and... "Ah!" 

I jumped up from my sleep, sweating hard and with a heaving chest. I patted my chest gently, trying to control my breathing. "What was that?" I questioned out loud. 

I was still trying to figure out what that dream was all about when I felt a murderous gaze beside me and I froze. I turned to look at Alpha Xavier, who was glaring coldly at me and I bit my lower lip, "I'm sorry. I just had a bad dream," I confessed, feeling a bit guilty for disturbing his sleep. 

Alpha Xavier just stared at me for a few seconds longer before he turned around and slept with his back facing me. I closed my eyes and sucked in a deep breath. 

What was that dream about? It felt so real, it was like it was something that had happened in the past that I had no memory of. But if that was the case, was I able to save that brother back then?

It was obvious that the little girl I saw in the dream was my younger self but who was that Aunt and where was that place that I was playing? It seemed like a rich compound, a place that wasn't in my memory at all. 

Pitching together all the points, I concluded that it could be nothing but a dream and I decided to forget about it. 

I laid back in bed and closed my eyes again. It wasn't morning yet and I still felt very sleepy. I had just hit the bed when I slept off and this time around, there was no dream at all. 

Opening my eyes, a silhouette was the first thing I saw. I rubbed my face, yawned and looked properly, the silhouette became clearer, revealing a 6'6 feet tall and very handsome but extremely cold man. 

"Good Morning," He greeted and I nearly choked. 

Did he just greet me?

"A Secretary will resume today. You should cease the search for a new Secretary," He muttered and only then did I realize that he was on a call and the earlier greetings weren't for me. 

I stood up from the bed and walked toward the bathroom. He was already fully dressed and I knew he was going to scold me again if I didn't leave the bed before he dropped the call. 

I entered the bathroom where I had a short but relaxing bath and left the bathroom in a robe. This time around, he did not look dissatisfied to see me in a robe and when I entered the closet, I found out he had gotten some clothes for me~
