CHAPTER 27: HE MARRIED ME

REAH'S POV 

"Wow! That's good news!" I said, forming a smile on my face while I felt guilty inwardly. 

I was supposed to be happy for her that she finally got a doctor who might be able to cure her but instead, I was so selfish that I wanted her to stay with me. 

I let out a deep breath, properly hiding my guilty feelings underneath my smile. 

Luna Bella took my hand in his, "The two or three months bothers me a lot. I wonder how you will be able to cope with someone like Xavier. It really bothers me," She lamented. "I've seen the way he looks at you. It seems as if he doesn't like you at all and I don't know what to do," She looked troubled. 

I was surprised to hear that she knew the truth. I had always thought Alpha Xavier pretended enough in front of her that she didn't realize the truth... "You knew?" I found myself asking again to be certain. 

She smiled bitterly and nodded "I found out from the day I told him to marry you. I knew he wasn't ready to but you are already carrying his child and as his mother, I could feel that you are the best woman for him. I just don't know why he is so blind to see that."  She patted my hand gently. 

"How about this? You should go back to your house for the time and when I'm back, I will come to pick you up again. I don't want him to bully you at all," She suggested and my eyes lit up. 

I felt like it was a nice idea until I remembered how devious Alpha Xavier could be and I shook my head secretly. Luna Bella seemed to have no idea how wicked her son could be. The heart of a mother would always remain the same, she would never want to believe that her son was a monster who wouldn't bat an eye when killing me if I decided to run away with his child. 

He wouldn't even mind the fact that it was his mother who told me to stay away anymore then. He would surely make life difficult for me. 

"I don't think that's a good idea, Mum. Alpha Xavier might be cold to me but he is still my husband and I need to take care of him. I don't think it's a good idea to leave the house while you are gone for treatment," I also remembered that he wanted me to satisfy him every night and he wouldn't let that go. 

Luna Bella seemed to be in deep thought for a while but she nodded her head "Are you sure you are okay with doing that?" She asked, her face covered with concern toward me which melted my heart. 

"I will be okay," I told her and she sighed. 

"If that's the case, I'm rest assured," She replied and smiled. 

She stayed a little longer and the door opened again, revealing a maid "It's time for your treatment, Ma," The maid told her. 

Luna Bella looked hesitant. Her grip on my hand seemed firmer as she looked at my face and I smiled "It's okay. I'm sure Alpha Xavier will be back soon and I'm also planning to call my friend too. I won't be alone here," I assured her and only then did she release my hand and stand up. 

Luna Bella patted my hand gently "I will come see you again tomorrow morning," She said softly. 

"I will be expecting you," I replied and we both chuckled. 

I watched her leave the room with the maid and the smile on my face turned brighter. I searched the table beside the bed, picking up my phone. I dialed Joyce's line and she immediately answered the call. 

"Babe," I called.

"Reah! Where have you been? I got to your place last night but you weren't there and when I tried your line, it wasn't reachable either. You didn't even bother to ask about Gabriel's health anymore. He's been acting like a spoilt child since yesterday, asking about you and scolding me for not following you home that night!" Joyce kept on blabbering the moment she heard my voice. 

I clicked my tongue and rolled my eyes "I don't have the strength to talk much.  I'm in the hospital right now," I revealed. 

There was silence for a while, "Tell me you're joking," Joyce's voice again and this time, I could feel the panic in her voice. 

"It's not that serious though. I should be discharged tomorrow morning," I told her. 

"Tell me the address. I will come there right away!" She asked and I agreed with her. 

After ending the call, I asked the nurse in front of the ward for the hospital's name and I sent it to her. 

An hour later, The hospital door opened, revealing Joyce and Gabriel who both rushed in. They moved closer to me and Joyce grabbed my hand "What happened to you? Since when have you been here?" She asked worriedly. 

I rolled my eyes and snatched my hand from her, "Gabriel, You've been discharged?" I asked Gabriel, who was staring at me behind Joyce. I could tell he was very worried about me even though he wasn't saying a word. 

He nodded, "I was discharged yesterday. After I woke up, the doctors realized that the wounds weren't so deep after all. So, they let me go after giving me some instructions and medicines," He explained. 

I felt relieved hearing that and I smiled "I'm sorry I wasn't there when you were discharged. I started working yesterday and it was very hectic," 

"Don't tell me it was the job that led you here. What's the nature of the job you got?" Joyce's angry voice interrupted us. 

My eyes darted to her and I chuckled. It was amusing because she guessed it right. It was indeed the job that landed me in the hospital but it was my fault. If I hadn't drank much at the Team dinner, I wouldn't have fainted and landed in the hospital. 

"I got a job as a Secretary in one of Alpha Xavier's companies. His headquarters here," I replied only for me to hear Joyce gasp. 

She covered her mouth as she looked at me with disbelief in her eyes "You really got a job there? As a Secretary too? Whose Secretary?" She seemed really excited for me. 

"His," I replied in a low tone. 

Joyce frowned "Have you lost your mind?" 

"I haven't,"

"Why would you work as a Secretary for that jerk then? After what he did to you?" 

Gabriel moved forward "What did he do to her? Did he hurt her?" He asked, a concerned expression on his handsome face. 

Joyce glanced at him but didn't say a word as she returned her gaze to me.

I let out a deep breath "After what happened then, I went to the hospital and found out I was pregnant," I revealed. 

"Pregnant? You are pregnant? For who?" Gabriel was extremely shocked.

Joyce was shocked too, "It really led to pregnancy. Did you tell him? Is that why he decided to hire you as his Secretary?" She questioned and I shook my head. 

"No, he married me," I replied. 

There was silence in the room for a while and when I looked at the siblings' faces, I realized they both looked dazed. "He married you?' Joyce asked after a few minutes and I nodded. "He really made you his Luna?" Her voice was louder and I nodded again. 

Joyce covered her mouth and screamed. "He really married you! You are a Luna now!" She jumped around and I could tell she was really excited. Seeing her so happy, I wished I could tell her how horrible the wedding was and how terrible my stay in the house was but I decided to keep that in as it would only make them worried about me. 

The siblings had tried so much for me. They were always worried about me and would most times put me first. It was high time they started worrying about themselves too and it wasn't like they could help me out of this predicament anyway. They would only get hurt.

I raised my eyes to look at Gabriel only to realize that he wasn't happy at all. He looked like someone who had lost his soul and his face was pale. I was about to ask about him when his eyes caught mine and a small smile formed on his face. Immediately after that, his expression returned to normal which made me frown a bit. 

"Tell me about your marriage. Does he treat you right? What about his bed skills?" Joyce moved closer to him, his voice becoming a whisper. 

I blushed gently "His bed skill is... crazy!" 

"How big is he?"

"He is this big..."

Joyce and I talked for hours, laughing and screaming. We were both naughty~
