Chapter 35: mommy 7

Me: "So all this was for an island?"

Mom: "What do you mean 'all this'? Like I'm doing something sinful?"

Me: "No, I meant the stress of going to buy the flower yourself."

Mom: "Well, not really. Your dad works hard, so I should give him good sex once in a while, you know?" She smiled mischievously.

Me: "That's thoughtful of you."

Mom: "Of course. I'm always a thoughtful person."

Me: "So where exactly is this island located?"

Mom: "Well, it's a small island surrounded by water. I passed by there last time I went to Dubai to buy some abayas and perfumes. The island isn't far from Abu Dhabi. It's calm. The serenity is beautiful. It's peaceful. There are speedboats you can play with in the water. There are also little buildings,a museum, an aquarium, a beauty spa for me and my little Angel , and a fully equipped gym apart from the mansion. The place is like a small world."

Me: "Wow, you've done your research."

Mom: "Yeah, I did. They say the owner is about to die and has no offspring or family. He wants to sell the island and donate the money to orphans and less privileged people as charity."

Me: "That's amazing. It should be an easy purchase. How about I just buy it for you?"

Mom: "No, no, no. It's not about the money, son. I could buy it myself too. I just want to stress your dad a little. He's always running up and down, putting so much effort into expanding the family business in America. I want to use this opportunity to take him on vacation, even if it's just for a week. Your dad needs to rest."

Me: "But Dad won't go down to Dubai to personally buy it." I laughed.

Mom: "Yeah, I know. So I'll tell him I haven't seen it, only heard of it. I really want it, but I need to see it for myself. And he has to come with me to help me decide. Or I could say the seller won't sell unless they meet the buyer personally, and I don't want to go alone. Honestly, getting your dad to Dubai isn't the problem. I just want him to come home safely first."

Me: "Seems like you have it all figured out."

Mom: "Trust your momma." She winked at me. "That island, I want him to get it for me, but I also want us to go as a family for vacation. We'll invite both your grandparents from my side and your dad's. Honestly, I'm thinking of that island as a small world where we can all have a reunion."

Me: "That's good, then. Mommy is the best."

Mom: "Yes, yes, yes. I am the best. Nobody does it better than me."she boasted

Me: "You're right." I smiled. "Oh, and Mom, you need to stop sneaking out of the house to go play. It's risky out there. I know you're carefree and like to enjoy yourself, but you should at least take your special bodyguards, even if you don't want the regular ones following you."

Mom: "But I don't want a bunch of people following me everywhere." Blinked her lashes

Me: "That's why you should take your special guards. They'll stay hidden and only come out when something's important. Look, you scared us today. One of the maids fainted. Uncle Su almost had a heart attack. We care about you, please.

"Remember who you are. You're the wife of the head of the Shengan family. A family that dominates China and neighboring countries in business. A family that came to America to expand. Do you know how many rivals and enemies this family has? Do you know they could use you to destroy us? Have you thought about how hard Dad has worked to get this far? His brothers are envious of him.
