LOGINCHAPTER TWO
ALYSSA'S POV____________
I am someone who had planned her life. Focus on my studies and get into the university of my dreams. Get good grades and come out as I highly distinguished medical doctor. Then, by the age of thirty, settle down and have my children. Then live as a happy family.
My dreams are literally written in a cardboard and plastered on my room walls. Everyday and nights, I look at it to remember my aims and achievements.
It was past ten at night already. I closed my books, getting ready to sleep and wake up early for tomorrow's schooling. I would be having a maths quizzes.
Just when my eyes were closed, the vibration of my little phone disturbed. It was one which my mom used all her savings to get me despite my persistent. Flashing on the screen was Ruby's name as I answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey. Come on out. Am standing outside your window."
I stood up to look through and indeed she was. She waved at me.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Come on out. We are going somewhere." She laughed.
"No,no. You know I don't like going out. Plus, it's late already." I disagreed.
She shook her head.
"No. Not today Alyssa. You are going to get out here and we'll go together. Okay?" She was using her bussy tone gain.
I signed.
"Let me go change."
I got into a pair of palm trouser and a Jean top. Then bond my hair into a ponytail before climbing out the window. since my house was a simple shabby and small duplex, it was much still easy. I walked to her.
"Hey am sorry for what happened the other day. I really never meant to have angered you." I apologized.
"Don't worry. I was just sad that oneday, you would move away and far from me. I would really miss you." She hugged me. And she was right. I'd never taught it that way but after school, so many of us might never see eachother again. She pulled back.
"Let's not worry too much about that. Since we're together, we better make the best of it then." She laughed.
"So-where are we going then?"
I asked.
"You will see." Came out her only reply as she pulled me along with her.
Finally, we got there and I was dumbstrucked.
It was a club down town. A damn club. No decent person goes to a club. And to worsen it all, my best friend seemed quite familiar with it.
She dragged me and we were seated at a place where I was offered a drink which I refused, no dought it was an alcohol.
"Ruby, don't you think it's illegal for us to be here?" I asked worried for us being here and more importantly, for myself. I feel so uncomfortable.
"Illegal?" She scoffed. "Don't you think that's the fun part" she laughed while gulping down a whole glass of alcohol as if it was water. Now am starting to think I don't know her anymore.
"Well I think it's insane."
She rolled her eyes.
"And when have you ever think sanely." She hissed then got off the chair.
"If you are going to seat here and silk all night, then suit yourself. Am going to have fun." She walked into the crowd and soon grabbed a guy, Began swinging her hips on him and soon enough, her lips was smashed on his.
I signed and looked at the time. It was past eleven already. I had to get home in time for my maths quizzes tomorrow.
"Hey pretty lady."
Two guys approached. "You want a drink?" They asked and I immediately shook my head.
"N-N-No thanks."
"You don't need to be afraid of us." They sat, putting me in their middle as one attempted to touch me but I jerked off. The other grabbed me and I panicked.
"We just want." He sniffed on my neck bringing me more discomfort. "A little something."
"Have you ever been double fucked before...In both holes?" The other one whispered into my ears and my eyes widened making them both laugh.
"Yeah. You are really gonna love it." On kissed my neck as the other attempted to touch my breast but I pushed them both away.
Run! Danger! Run! I tried scanning for Ruby but she was no where to be found. Then I tried to run but they pulled me back unto a coach. I was now shaking and consumed with fear as they blocked me.
One squeezed on my breast while pinching my other nipple as the other moved his hand down into my trouser. My eyes widened as I screamed and cried but no one seemed to pay any attention to me as if the fact of a young girl being rapped was something normal to them.
His hand got to my panties and he rubbed.
"How come you are so dry?" He complained.
"It doesn't matter. We would just fuck her like that anyway." The other guy remarked and they both laughed. He slipped his hand in and began rubbing my private part, ignoring my screams and tantrums. They help me thight inorder for me not to get away.
"Please! please! Let me go." I begged but then they laughed.
"We can't darling." I managed to kick one in-between his legs then bit the other's hand making them hiss in pain and a way of escape for me. I immediately ran out as fast as I could.
It was late and the whole street was dark. I cried as I hold unto my phone, trying to get through to my mother but it was unfortunate. My foot hit a stone while running and I fell to the ground, hissing in pain.
"Hello! Hello. Alyssa. Where are you?"
It was mom's voice. she had finally picked my calls. I looked to find my phone three foots ahead of me. I sobbed as I tried to reach it.
"Hello Alyssa. Are you there? Baby talk to me-"
"Noooo!"
My lungs screamed out in tiers as I watched my phone been stepped on and squashed by a manly foot. I looked up and it was same man from the club while the other, behind him.
He smiled.
"You think you can get away from us barbie."
I forced myself to stand on my feet as I limped.
"Please. I don't even know who you are so let me go." I pleaded. Then came another guy whom I recognized to have danced and kissed Ruby at the club.
Have they taken her also? No!
"You?" I blurt.
"Oh, so you seem to know me." He smirked.
"You were the one with Ruby at the club. What have you done to my friend?!" I yelled.
"I think you should worry more about yourself than anyone else at this point of level" He adviced.
"What -"
A cloth was used to cover my eyes from behind and my hands held.
"Please let me go! What are you going to do to me!!"
I yelled more in tier as I felt I was been lifted off the ground.
CHAPTER 59 *Alyssa’s POV*The early morning air felt crisp as the car pulled away from my apartment. Dawn was still stretching her fingers across the skyline, the city lights blinking out one by one. My suitcase sat in the backseat, wheels spinning quietly on the leather floor. I sat beside Marcus’s goodbye text in my pocket: Be safe. I had sent one back: I will be. But the quiet hum of the engine didn’t calm me. Not entirely.I was headed out of the city with Rylan Russo, my boss, the mafia heir, the man whose world I only glimpsed in flashes of glances and tension. The trip was framed as corporate: a key client in a neighboring country, meetings, dinners, the familiar shutter‑click of business suits. But lately nothing that involved him felt normal.Rylan’s driver dropped us at the private terminal of the airport. The building was sleek glass and steel, everything polished and exact. Rylan stepped out first, adjust
CHAPTER 58The dim light of the café flickered as the door slammed open, a cold gust sweeping in with the figure that stepped through. Alyssa’s breath hitched as the silhouette moved closer—tall, confident, and unmistakably familiar.“Ruby?”The woman’s eyes glinted with something sharp and dangerous—years of bitterness, envy, and a darkness Alyssa had never truly seen before. Her lips curled into a mocking smile.“Well, well, if it isn’t little miss perfect,” Ruby hissed, voice dripping with venom. “Didn’t expect to see me here, did you?”Alyssa’s heart pounded harder, confusion and fear crashing through her like a wave.“Why... why are you here?” Alyssa managed to ask, her voice barely above a whisper.Ruby laughed—a harsh, cold sound that made the hairs on the back of Alyssa’s neck stand on end. “I’ve been watching you. Always watching. Sending those lovely little messages that kept you up at night? Yeah, that was me.
CHAPTER 57Alyssa stared at the photo in her hand—one Amelia had snapped earlier of Samantha playing by the garden. Her daughter’s soft golden hair shimmered under the sun, falling in loose curls around her shoulders. But it wasn’t just the hair. It was the curve of her chin. The arch of her brow. The way her smile tilted slightly to the left.Something about it stirred unease deep in Alyssa’s chest.Amelia, who has just arrived for a few days to pick up somethings was stairing at her in curiosity.“I just… I don’t get it,” she murmured, voice barely above a whisper. “Marcus said something strange last night. About knowing what I went through in school.”Amelia, sitting beside her, frowned. “What do you mean strange?”Alyssa swallowed hard. “He said... he knew about what happened to me back then. The assault.”Amelia’s eyes widened. “But, you never told him, did you?”“No,” Alyssa whispered. “I never told anyone
CHAPTER 56The garden lights glowed under the velvet night sky as I stumbled through the hedges, tears blurring the pathway ahead of me. I could still hear the voices behind me, the whispering condolences, the pointing looks, the blow of my past revealed under crystal chandeliers. My dress, that deep emerald gown, felt like a costume now, extravagant, exposed. Marcus finally found me at the fountain’s edge, the water silver in the lamplight, mist curling around us. “Alyssa,” he called gently, stepping closer with concern in his eyes. “Please talk to me.”I turned to face him, grief and anger mingling in my chest. I felt raw. Vulnerable. “I can't,” I whispered, voice trembling. “I can’t do this. Not here. Not now.”He reached for me, hesitated, then pulled me into his arms. “You don’t have to do it alone,” he said softly. “I’m right here.”But I jerked away. “Stop pretending, Marcus!” I cried. “You brought me
CHAPTER 55The grand hall shimmered under a sea of crystal chandeliers, their light dancing off the polished marble floors and gilded walls. Tonight was supposed to be a celebration of unity—a gathering of the Lezandro and Milano families, tied together by marriage, blood, and business alliances. Yet beneath the glittering surface, old wounds festered, and grudges whispered like ghosts in every corner.Alyssa entered the room on Marcus’s arm, her emerald-green gown flowing like liquid silk, hugging her slender frame and highlighting her graceful neck. The deep V neckline balanced tastefully with long, sheer sleeves embroidered with delicate patterns that caught the light with every subtle movement. Her dark hair was styled in soft waves pinned loosely to one side, and her makeup was flawless yet understated—deep plum lips and smoky eyes that shimmered with hidden strength and vulnerability. She felt the weight of countless eyes—curious, calculating, and no
*CHAPTER 54**Alyssa’s POV*The quiet hum of the air conditioner was the only sound filling Rylan’s spacious office as I stood at the doorway, clutching the file to my chest like it could shield me from everything he made me feel.I stepped in slowly, the sharp click of my heels echoing too loudly on the marble floor. He didn’t look at me.He was at the window, tall and imposing, his hands in his pockets, the back of his suit perfectly pressed. The skyline behind him bathed him in golden light, yet all I saw was the storm beneath his stillness.“You called for the quarterly projections,” I said, my voice firm even though my heart pounded. “Here they are.”His head tilted slightly, just slightly. “I didn’t think you’d come.”“I work here, Rylan,” I replied, walking up to place the file on his desk. “I don’t mix business with—”“With what?” he interrupted, finally turning to face me.With us.
